Wow!!! I just picked up my car from the repair shop. This was the first repair I needed in my life (and unfortunately on my brand new car) so I wasn't sure what the end product would look like. However, Gerber did not disappoint!!! Everything looked brand new again. When I picked it up, the car was super clean on the inside and out. I am super impressed with the detail and care to bring my car back to new. Service was great. I was informed constantly about when my car was going to be expected, and the receptionist would leave a message if I did not pick up. I guess the only downside was that my car was in the shop for 1 month instead of an expected 1 week, but as long as they took care of it, I was satisfied. The location is also right in the same lot as Enterprise so it made renting a car and drop off easy and quick. Thanks again Gerber! read more

I had an estimate done recently and my experience was less than stellar. a 10am appointment meant nothing since I was never called to the reception desk ( after attempts to check in, only to be told the 5 other people waiting were ahead of me ) until 10:25 and never even spoke to the estimator until almost 10:45. I left just after 11 after being told the estimate would be emailed to me. When I got the email later that day it ended up being $1,300 more than another estimate from a shop a mile or so further north on NFB. Needless to say I won't ever go back there read more

I had my car towed here because it was a AAA approved shop. This is the place I will return to if this ever happens again. They went over the car with me and a red marker. Marking everything that needed to be repaired. They were done before they said they would be. The car looked great and ran great too. After 3 weeks I found 2 things that needed fixed. Both my fiancée and I had to bring our cars into Carubba. She was side swiped and I was rear ended. All in the same week, believe it or not. While we brought our vehicles in at different times on different days, both of us had a wonderful experience. We walked in, were greeted by personable, friendly, and able staff who, in moments, had our information pulled up and began the process. The insurance adjuster had an information booklet he gave to us with all the contact information and disclosures there for our records. The mechanics did a thorough walk around of the vehicle and explained the process. The vehicle was fixed quickly and the repairs were done with expert precision. They washed and detailed the vehicle to boot! I was in an accident earlier this year (also not my fault). My vehicle was not operable, so I had to go to a "non-operable" repair shop which was not Carubba. While the shop, which will remain unnamed, did a good job, they were not nearly as friendly, thorough, or helpful in the process. It was very much a drop off and sign here experience at said shop. Carubba was beyond excellent. While I hope neither my fiancée nor I are in an accident again, if we are, we are going back to Carubba! I made sure to personally call the manager to express our pleasure. God knows, if we weren't happy, I would've called to complain, so it's only fair :-) read more

Brought my car in from a Small car accident from geico, not only did a slip and fall in their parking lot because they didn't ice it, they left my car out in negative weather with door open from accident, it took 29 days to fix and then called me to say it's ready then called back to say engine light was on! i never had a problem with my engine, until they fixed it! Then never called me over weekend to say I can't fix, when I got them on phone told me to take to dealer! Worse customer service, nathon and John manager both never called me, I had to keep calling them, do not take your car here!!! They both pass the buck to geico and it's their fault!!! Car accidents suck. Before late last month I had never been in one. Til one fateful afternoon when someone smashed into the side of my car. It was an incredibly stressful event and I spent way too many minutes on the phone on hold and waiting to talk to people about everything. Luckily my insurance company rocks and helped me out as much as possible. They set up the tow of my sad, mangled car to this location of Carubba. The damage to my car was extensive (like, $6k) so I wasn't sure how long my car would be in the shop. I had enough foresight to get rental car coverage on my insurance plan, so I had wheels either way. Car was towed on Friday PM, heard about the estimate on Monday AM. They called me. A lot. I kind of liked it, but hated it. They called when the car was in disassembly. Again when it was in paint. Another time as they assembled it. Jason left me a lot of voicemails. Yet somehow I missed the one on a Friday afternoon letting me know the car was ready. It was almost a week and a half early! Went on a Monday night to get my baby. Easy return of my Enterprise rent-a-car too. My car had been parked waiting for me during the snowstorm on Friday night so they cleaned it off and warmed it up a bit for me. Too bad my car was SUPER empty on fuel and I had to stop at the closest station. They took good care of me. Easy to work with since they're the shop affiliated with my insurance. My car looks amazing- can't tell there's any damage. Too bad I'm so afraid of driving now! :( I do hope I won't be using Carubba's services anytime soon. read more

Sadly I have more experience with this location than I care to admit. Lets just say a few times in the last 2 years. My front and rear bumpers must have magnets. Additionally, my passenger side window was the target last night, and my glove compartment was the prize for a direct hit. This morning I called about 5 minutes after they opened hoping they would fit me in for glass repair. I was due to call them anyway, because my front bumper was scuffed in a parking lot last week. They took my car, and got me a loner and I was on my way in under an hour (including my drive there and a stop at Spot). The front bumper repair they were able to keep under my deductible. In a few experiences, I have had NO complaints. I can't speak for all locations, but I'd send anyone here. read more

Cannot say enough good things about my experience at Carubba Collision. Someone pulled a hit and run on my car that totaled $1,600+ in damage so I was not a happy person. But the customer service at Carubba Collision made dealing with the situation as pleasant and painless as could be. My insurance company had an agent there to look over the damages and, when my insurance didn't cover a rental car, Carubba Collision covered that cost and gave me one for the duration of my car being in the shop. They called me with regular updates about the status of my car and were very flexible about my particular situation (which was a bit complicated). Again, based on my experience, I cannot say enough good things and would give them 6 stars out of 5 if I could. read more

Carubba has the best customer service hands down. They really take care of their customers and ensure that you are satisfied with the work. From the moment I called to schedule my appointment Irene took care of me from start to finish. When there were things that needed to be followed up with the insurance company she handled everything for me. I receive text alerts to let me know where my car was at in the process which was very helpful to me not to have to call them to check on my car everyday, as well as phone call updates from the technicians. After my car was repaired they detailed it inside and outside. Caruba collision would definitely get my business anytime my car needs repairs not only because of the lifetime warranty but because their customer service is unmatched by any other repair shop I've ever used in the pass. They're conveniently located right next-door to enterprise car rental so you don't have to worry about the extra stress of getting to a location to pick up your rental if you need one. When my repairs took longer than the insurance company paid for Caruba picked up the cost of my rental for the remaining days without me having to take the car back and do any additional paperwork. If I could give more than for stars I definitely would without a doubt. read more

When I dropped my car off at Carubba and handed them the quote I received from another car dealership, they assured me they could do it for the same price. I had read good reviews on here so trusted them. Two weeks later I go to pick up my vehicle and the charge is $700 more than what we had agreed to. No one made contact with me even once to notify me of this or ask if it was okay, they simply expected me to cough up the money. Needing a car in order to get to work, I was forced to pay it. I get in my car and the cameras in the mirror (the repair I had) were not calibrated and do not work at all. I contacted them to speak to Scott the Delaware Manager and he simply did not care and said they could fix it for MORE money!! To BE CLEAR - they charged me $700 MORE for a repair they actually DIDN'T COMPLETE the first time. Save yourself hassle, and avoid the dishonesty of this business and go somewhere else. They are only scamming both hard-working people and the insurance companies. read more

This company has been so difficult to work with and so BAD that I am writing my first ever bad review of a business. DO NOT USE THEM. It will be more of a headache than it's worth. I went in for an estimate, the man, Gabe, who assisted me was very nice and promptly began completing the estimate. Asked him to fill up my tires while I was there and they did. Scheduled an appointment for the repair and went to enterprise to get a rental for that date. It was a great experience and very easy. I left happy. I got in my car and saw my tires were still reading way off from 35. one @29 and one at @38, I figured the sensor just needed time to adjust and left. NOPE! He did not fill any of them to the proper 35. I ignored it, was going to ask them again to fix them when I went back for the repair. Except when I showed up they told me I never made an appointment. Which I 100% did and the man I made it with, Gabe, was there. He said he didn't make an appointment Because he didn't write in his notes that he did. but I have a business card with the appointment written on it by him. Then they told me the issue was my ins company canceled my service without giving a reason as well. According to my ins company, my agent called the prior day, Gerbers system was down, and the Gerber employee was suppose to send over some document once it came back up and never did. Get it all figured out and call gerber, Gabe checks and says he's got ALL the info he needs from my ins and the secretary will call by end of day to schedule. No one called me the rest of the day Wednesday or Thursday morning. So I call, she says she'll call me back by the end of business to schedule because she needs to call my ins. Anyway, surprise, NO ONE CALLED. So finally I called Friday, was told Again I'd get a call back. Nothing. Saturday I called another location. Who then had someone from this location call me who told me they had received ALL info from my insurance FOUR days prior. IVE BEEN CALLING ALL FOUR DAYS. Five days later I speak to the supervisor finally to who did nothing. Didn't even apologize and said its because my parts are on back order. SO NO ONE CAN CALL?? AND WHY DO YOU HAVE A NEW REASON EVERY TIME I CALL? Save yourself the headache and go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. this is the first bad review I've ever left a business because it has been that BAD of an experience. Never ever ever again. Anyway. If anyone knows of a good shop to fix my car let me know because it still hasn't been fixed. read more

I can't say enough nice things about Carubba. I hit a deer while on a trip from DC to Canada and ended up there by default through my insurance company. I got the car back ahead of schedule, and all of the staff were so kind to me. They called me with regular updates and when I explained that I was going to have to come back up and get my car, they were able to get my car ready early so I could come up on a weekend and didn't have to miss work for the pick-up. Irene was so friendly dealing with me all the way through. The car looks great inside and out, drives great, and I'm really impressed with how well they handled the whole situation. They really made the best out of a really cruddy situation and I'm very impressed with them. If I have to go through this process for some reason again, I would definitely go back to Carubba. read more

should have taken my collision repair to my dealer, who would have had this repair completed sooner, on time (or when promised), and where i know that customer service means something. part took twice as long to order than initially promised (and they wanted me to leave my car sitting there in the shop while this delayed part was in transit over one week), as did the repair. no one ever outlined for me what was being done, nor the time sensitive schedule that it entailed. i was promised a two day fix for a simple bumper replacement, and it ended up being five days. in addition, dropping off and picking up your vehicle is a true nightmare, and will entail no less than an hour of your time, as the people working there do not seem to know which end is up, especially when there is more than one person waiting to be serviced when these matters were politely brought to the attention of the staff, each and everyone seemed literally dumbfounded that i expected them to actually deliver what they said within the time frame they quoted. i cannot speak to the pricing structure of this repair shop, since this was a standard pay the deductible and the insurance covers the rest kind of case, HOWEVER, i will never make the Carubba Collision mistake again. i'll stick to my dealership, where timely service and good customer relation skills are the norm. read more

Terrible. AAA towed my car there, and I asked for an estimate on just the mechanical part of a job- no body work. The person on the phone said that was fine, I'd get a call on Monday. By Tuesday I called them and they had done an estimate, but not called me. The estimate they did was for the body work too- explicitly what I had asked not to get. Also, my car had been put under the wrong name. They then refused to do the estimate I asked for. A couple days later when I finally made it out there to pick the car up later in the week they tried to charge me a $75 a day storage fee despite the "free estimate." Gabe originally made me think he was going to work hard on my behalf but was very vague and dismissive as the insurance matters got more complicated. Alot of thing I didnt understand and were poorly explained, as well as bypassed and I was expected to just accept it the bare minimum of information. I had to request a hire up countless times to get my needs met. I went with the company from past experiences with Nate, too bad he was on leave. Thank you Leslie I believe her name was for stepping in showing compassion and breaking things down. This was a horrible experience from so many aspect! I had my collision work done at the Niagara Falls Blvd. location on 2 separate occasions. I have a Lexus ES 350 and the put a new rear bumper on. The paint and bumper look terrible. It's not like the original bumper. The paint is scraping off, and it's all scratched up. They use after market crap and their workmanship is horrible. Don't go to Carubba. read more

When the estimator, "Nate", called that the mirror was prepped, i wanted to procrastinate a couple days for personal reasons. He strongly objected and expressed a sincere concern for my driving safety without the mirror. He said "Drive over here and we will have you in and out in about 40 min. I went in on Sat 3/1/14 to get an estimate. Jason was friendly and the estimate was completed quickly and my questions answered. We decided on bringing my car to be fixed on today 3/3/14. I decided to use Hertz because I hate Enterprise. We dicsussed me having bad experiences with them. Anyway I was told I would be able to drop off my car and Hertz would be there with the rental, great! I asked 3 times if I needed to do anything since I was using Hertz, I was told no. I was given the coverage amounts and told u don't have to do anything. Great!! Well I called Mon. 3/3/14 before going to let them know I was on my way and to ensure everything was taking care off. It wasn't. I spoke with someone at the other office and they had no info other than my Sat. visit. I explained what happened since Sat. and she transfered me to Kelly at the Delaware office. Kelly couldn't find any info regarding a rental. I explained to her all this was supposed to be taken care of. Kelly offered to call Hertz and she said she would call me back either way. She didn't; matter of fact I called them back and spoke with Craig. He read Kelly's notes saying I would set up the rental with Hertz. I told him that was incorrect. Craig offers to transfer me to Jason and I got Jason 's vmail. I hung up and called back. I got someone in the other office and was told the workers at the Delaware office was with customers. I asked if my insurance sent payment and she said not yet. I called my insurance company and canceled payment. They voided the check and I made an appointment with Schmidt's. read more

After reading the reviews, I was a little skeptical about taking my "new-ish" car to Carubba after I got into a small front-end collision. I've never been in an accident where I've had to get my car repaired so this was an entirely new experience for me. But, after doing some research and got my estimate from my insurance company it seemed like the best option; let me tell you why. If your insurance doesn't cover rental cars and your estimate is over $1000 in repairs, you get a FREE rental car from enterprise! Enterprise is right next door and they essentially hook you up with everything you need! Everyone I came in contact with was super friendly and even though it wasn't something I particularly wanted to do, they made it the best experience possible for a shitty situation. No one likes getting into car accidents let alone having to go a week or more without their own car. Needless to say, after I dropped my car off, got my rental I was as happy as I could be in that situation. Carubba said that it would take about 2 weeks for the parts, labor and paint to be completed. They updated me along the way (but not in an overbearing way) and when it was ready (ahead of schedule) I happily picked it up. The girl walked me through and around what they repaired and it looked brand new! Even better, it looked BETTER than before my accident. I was super happy with the service and the work done. They even washed & detailed my car. So all in all it was a win-win situation. I'd definitely consider taking my car back there in case I need any more body repairs and recommend to my friends. read more

NEVER take your car here. I was moving when I got into a car accident and left my sewing machine in the back seat. When I got my car back, it was gone. They claimed they had no evidence of ever having it. I know I shouldn't have left it but that does not give them the right to steal it. read more

Initial repair was ok. After the car was home I started noticing issues. The hood was not aligned, oversprary on the headlights, tape still on the car, and the fender flares were starting to pop off after a week. I went back today to get this all corrected. When I called I stated the issue and that I would need a car. When I arrived I was made to wait while they work (fine maybe a quick fix?) Well then I was told it was done after about 30min. The car was not, then I was told they didn't' have a rental and that I would need to come back another day. After letting them know I didn't' want to do that they found a rental (magic!). Almost done getting the rental and now the manager wants to talk to me. Telling me they can't fix the fender flare issue because the tape they use is thicker. Well then maybe get the right tape. Manager was rude, didn't even tell me his name. Took photos of the flair but it looked like he was pushing them in so they looked better on the photos. Horrible customer service and job. I would NOT recommend anyone take their car to Gerber for repairs. They can't even get the right tape! Now I'm going to have to fight to get this corrected. read more

i would like to start off by saying they don't even deserve a star but i have to put something. i have be dealing with carubba since december when my car was rear ended. since then i have had nothing but problems. when my car was first returned to me the electronics were not working and i had to wait another day before having it returned. i recently had to bring the car back and have it painted which i was told, would take one and a half weeks, two weeks tops. that was February 2nd. i finally have received my car back tonight february 24th after multiple problems and delays without communication. i find out that the bumper that they put on the car in december was broken so that had to be replaced on top of the work that the car was in for. so i was finally informed my car was ready to be picked up this evening after i had been calling them, not to see not them calling me. i get there to find the car is scratch and the "new bumper" is not attached correctly and have to wait 45mins for this to all be fixed (my car they said was done and ready for pick up). i go across the street to get gas only to find on top of everything my gas cap is now broken. i return and they fix that without apologizing. i leave the location make it a half mile down the road only to notice a thudding coming from the back passenger side of the car i return. they drive it and look it over agreeing something is wrong. i spend another 45mins waiting for them to coming out and say i had a rock stuck in the tire. mind you the car was making a thudding noise and a rock some how got stuck in my tire and made that happen; that must have been one big rock that got "stuck in my tire". when i told them that i wanted to take the car to another location to have it looked over since i have had all these problems and nothing was wrong with my "rock filled tire" three weeks prior to giving them the car on top of a broken bumper that they said was "new", a scratch trunk, and a broken gas cap. i was told that i could do that; but i would be paying for it. thank you so much for fixing my car and returning it with more problems than it had. read more

Over promise and under deliver. Car wasn't slated to be ready up to a week after original due date- and they called the morning of the original pick up date to confirm. Follow up was poor. Communication was poor. Sounded as if they were searching for excuses when I asked for information. Failed to call with updates after committing to do so. An overall service failure. This place is an absolute joke !! They will make promises, lie to you, give you the runaround, and never apologize or offer any concessions whatsoever for not meeting their obligations. They have the worst employees and the most horrific customer service I have ever encountered. This inept business cost me hundreds of dollars above the estimate, runined a weekend with my kids due to my vehicle not being ready, and yelled at my wife over the phone.
