The shop doesn't give clear answers. Work was not completed. They instead stated it wasn't from the accident. 2 accidents and they still found an excuse not to complete the job! Anything to get away with not completing work yet getting full payment. Dealer saw the car and gave estimate and stated it was from accident but once insurance and gerber got involved the story changed multiple times. Only after they were done did they shift story. If this was stated prior we would have pulled car. They played along and said we will do it will be take care until the very end. Story changed. Do NOT, I repeat Do NOT go here. I went here to estimate cost of repairs for hail damage to my truck. Orlando was my service advisor. The only thing he said to give him was the keys to my vehicle, what the estimate would be for, & wait inside while he takes a look at my truck. He didn't ask or say anything else. After some time he brought me outside & intimidatingly asked if I have before/after photos of how it looked prior. He told me there is no damage to my truck caused from the hail. Extremely rude customer service & intimidation tactics here at this shady business do not spend your $ here. I will not be going here for any repairs nor will I recommend anyone repair their vehicle here, the way they conduct business here is very unprofessional. read more

I have never written a Yelp review before, but this specific Gerber shop is horrible. Complete lack of respect for people's time and money. Their incompetence is unmatched. I chose this place based on the high praise from other Yelp reviewers. However, I experienced neither efficient work nor good customer service. The "convenient" online tracking service was inaccurate and useless. They treated me as if I was bothering them when I would call to request updates. I dropped my car off on 3/25. Orlando, a Gerber employee, initially said the work would take about 2.5 weeks. The completion date was extended to 4/23, then 4/26 then 4/29. If you think my car must have been totaled for it to take this long to repair, unfortunately, that's not the case (picture below). Related to the 4/26 "completion date": An employee named Matt called on 4/25 to inform me that my car would be ready for pickup on 4/26 at 4:30 PM and that he would give me a call around noon on 4/26 for further updates...he NEVER called me. I had to call at 3:30 PM (an hour before the pickup time he said) only to be told that my car would not be ready until 4/29. This incident spoke to their incompetence in their ability to perform basic communication skills... among other things. To further justify my opinions, I received a message from Orland on the morning of 4/23 saying my car is done with paint and in the reassembly stage. My car was finally finished on 4/29...it took them 5 days to put HALF a car back together... their incompetence is unmatched on all fronts; I clearly cannot say this enough. I was at a loss for words by 4/26, and at that point was just hoping they could figure out how to put a Honda Civic back together again...eventually. Wow! I'm so impressed with the service I received here at Gerber in Temescal Valley. Getting rear-ended can be a stressful situation, but they really helped turn my experience into a positive one. My insurance company referred me to Gerber - simply on the basis of proximity to my home - but I am beyond happy they did! Jerome, Reed, and Catherine all went out of their way to exceed my expectations. From proactive communication, to having my car repaired in a ridiculously fast timeframe, to going the extra mile with the quality of the work... They are simply the best and while I am not anticipating more accidents, this shop is where I'll go in the future! A couple examples of this are coming in early/staying late to accommodate my work schedule/commute and making sure that my car looked beautiful/balanced by reconditioning-polishing my left side headlight (which was undamaged) so it would match the new right side light - at no charge to me! We ran into some debris on the freeway which messed up our bumper lining. We limped our way over here and the people in the office were super helpful. My car was ready early. They delivered my car and picked up my rental. I will be using Gerber again!

So I go back in April because I got a used car from a Dealership and they sent me here to get an estimate for scratch repairs. Jerome did the inspection of my car, then was supposed to submit the estimate with the insurance company. Which then they would contact me afterwards. Six weeks later, I hadn't heard anything. I call my insurance to ask what was the delay, turns out Jerome had never submitted the estimate! I have been calling the shop asking for an update or to speak to Jerome, he always gives me the run around, "He will reach out to you", "He's with a customer", yeah right! . He still hasn't gotten back to me after almost a week and a half of contacting them by phone and email. Why do I have to chase these people? They need to do their job if they want to survive as a business. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere with better communication and business sense because it seems like they don't care. read more

The process was seamless, the staff is very helpful & kind and Orlando specifically was efficient, communicated in a timely manner and worked directly with the insurance/warranty to get the approval within the hour. My car had been damaged by vandals. Gerber went way above and beyond to help me. First I couldn't get there until after their normal time to inspect a car, but they bent the rule and got me in. I left the car and was told it would take 14 days. Fortunately for me they did not have trouble finding the parts I needed. They had it back to me in ONE DAY!!! . They inspected carefully for all damaged parts and provided near accurate quote. They also keep me up to date on every change and new findings. Went to this collision repair shop because the other party suggested it and they had prior work done there. Should have been first clue. The other party we were dealing with we believe was in cahoots with the shop. They pretended to not know the other party when we got there. However they did not realize that we were in the parking lot waiting for the appointment and watched the workers hug the other party. We were the party paying for the repair and they never once contacted us until other party called because they would not let her leave unless the bill was paid.The others parties vehicle had 2 screw indentions into the plastic bumper from our license plate frame. The impact was sitting at a light going less than 5 miles per hour. Gerber claimed that the entire plastic and bumper itself needed to be replaced. What a joke. Shady!! I called on 2 other occasions asking for updates and details and they lied 1 time saying he was the only employer in the business and didn't have access the other time saying we are busy call back tomorrow. For a big repair shop they act shady and unprofessional. Very disappointed! read more
