One man worked on removing the old cracked glass the other prepped the new glass. Remounted the rear view mirror and re-installed my Ez -pass, then wiped the glass clean. In a half hour they were done! Total was $280 but I am sure new cars with lane cameras may be more especially if camera calibration is needed (maybe $250 to recalibrate)

But in the past, it's always been replacing a windshield (or a side window since) and I've never used their "repair" feature until today. In a recent trip a stone hit my windshield on the highway and created a chip, which spread into a very small crack. My understanding is their threshold is the entire damage must be the size of a quarter or less, which it was. I was able to book a same day appointment, went in, and they took a look and told me it shouldn't be an issue. The quoted me 45 minutes, and I was out the door in about 20 minutes. Once again they did a fanatic job, quick and friendly service, and now the chip and crack is not even noticeable. Every situation may be different, but I continued to have nothing but positive experience with Safelite having used them in several different states (including once while away from home traveling).
