I walked in and I was the only customer at the time. Yes, it's pretty much a candy store with other small souvenirs and trinkets. It's a very colorful place. Almost feels magical in some way. I actually wasn't planning to buy anything, but I gave in and got a very and I mean very small amount of gummy bears and chocolates. I only spent $2.08 LOL. This is a very minimal purchase for me. I usually spend more than this for sweets, but I had to have some self control as I have had too many sweets at that time. Staff was nice. Service was quick. We were joking about that little creature that really does exist. As soon as we entered Solvang we had breakfast then it was time to shop. At this visit I was looking for a delicate sterling silver ring that our daughter has been searching for. I was surprised to find it and took a picture to send to her. In doing that I also took a picture of the wall of clocks, since it was nostalgic to our last visit. My husband then told me about the No Videos/Photos signs (sorry!). Our daughter texted back saying it was the ring she wanted. A staff member happened to come up at that moment who asked if I needed any help. She opened the case, but the ring was too big. She was so kind to look through the other sizes with me, but they didn't have more. We then walked around admiring all the collectibles and the wonderful details of the wooden German clocks. We plan to come back when our daughter visits in the Spring. Hopefully they will have her size then.

It beckoned me to enter with the promise of treasures beyond their doors. It is a beautifully organized and decorated store. Curated items were professionally displayed. There was a lady behind the counter but she avoided greeting me. I know this is a tourist town because the pricing was high. I do understand the mark up is needed to sustain the running of this business, etc. I will wait to return to Old Town Temecula where they sell the exact same items for much lower. This is one of the stores we stopped in during our wanderings. It's beautifully displayed, with many different feature areas. From unique kitchen gadgets and accessories, to home accents of many different types, there's much to see and consider here. Full retail is in effect, and some of the items seem very pricey, which is the reason for a one star reduction. Still, I found it very enjoyable to browse their selections, enjoying the stylish displays. I did find several items to take home, plus picked up a couple small gifts. I particularly love a silicone spatula I bought here, which has an ergonomic design that makes it comfortable to use. I don't know how they'll manage reopening / whether they offer buy online and pickup with minimal contact. I hope that they'll be able to survive the Coronavirus situation!
