The Right Gift is a souvenir shop located in a windmill. They have hundreds of gift items that you might have difficulty of deciding which to choose. I perused every section from shirts, sweaters, mugs, coasters, magnets, wooden shoes etc. Prices seem reasonable for some items. Staff was cordial. Layout was spacious. Overall, it's one of the nicest gift stores in the area. I recommend you check it out. read more

What an amazing shop! The Right Gift is truly the perfect name for it. My eyes lit up when I saw all the neat souvenirs and stuff. It's actually a good size store, but they have so many things and so many people, it appeared to be a very tight store, but it isn't. Anyway, I really enjoyed my perusing in this shop. You got to walk all around because there is more stuff in the back. Everything was authentic and unique with good quality. Please be warned that the staff will be watching you. What are you waiting for? Come on by and see what they have to offer you. It's one of the best souvenir shops in Solvang! I know I'll be back to buy from them the next time I am here. I've been coming here for years and it's one of my favorite gift shops. I stop here all the time and a must see. Just brings back memories when I'm here. Everything is so organized. GETTING HERE: The Right Gift is located on the corner of Mariposa and Alisal Road in Solvang. Look for the Solvang Windmill! REVIEW: This is one of my most favorited/frequented gift shops in the Solvang area. I seem to most often find parking near here so it just makes good sense. There is a very large variety of souvenirs here, probably one of almost everything. You could be "one and done" here and find "the right gift" but don't limit yourself. Explore the other shops as well. There is so much to enjoy about Solvang. :) There was really one thing that soured my most recent visit: a lady (which I assume was the owner) was talking with her employee about personnel issues (including scheduling, asking for time off, procedures, etc.) I'm fully aware that life doesn't stop when you own a business, I just didn't need to hear all the nitty gritty and it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Other than that, I found some stickers to commemorate this recent visit to Solvang. And, another bonus thing (IMO) about this gift shop is that the items are very reasonably priced. If you need an authentic and unique Solvang souvenir, this is the first shop to visit as they have various selections from wood to ceramic Danish items. It is a little bit pricy but the value is worth it as you would not find like others. Also, the clerk has a great Danish hospitality showing off all the Knick knacks that you would be lost in time. You won't regret visiting this shop and would never want to leave without buying at least one unique product. read more

The Right Gift is a must stop for Solvang souvenirs. You can't miss it since it's located just beneath the iconic Solvang windmill on Alisal Rd. They have the cutest gifts and I'm sure you'll be able to find the "right" one for yourself or anyone you know. I picked up a mini ceramic windmill and shot Stein with "Solvang" inscribed. Total was about $15. Arent they cute? Other items that I wanted were the wooden tulip pens/pencils and miniature clogs. But, I figured I still had more to explore beyond this gift shop. If you're looking to buy some Solvang souvenirs, this is definitely the spot for it. I didn't end up buying anything, but my sis did. They had many Danish items. I love the candles in there as they smelled really good. It's also in this windmill building, which was really cool. read more

There's many souvenir shops in Solvang and a lot of the products overlap from store to store. What we liked from this store though were the stickers -- there's a large variety of stickers that feature Solvang. We bought some made from wood (they're waterproof and flexible), some metallic and shiny, and some other ones. Many unique designs to choose from. Stickers are a bit pricey at $5-6 each. So could not buy many, but nice stickers if you're looking for a way to commemorate your trip or if you or your kids or sticker collectors. read more

The disheveled "nurse" at the register was giving myself and the other people with me checking out a hard time about wearing a mask. She rudely said "why are you all wearing masks". She then wanted to argue about how it provides no protection. She kept glaring at me as I was with my group and continued to argue with us. Normally, I love going to the right gift solvang and purchasing earrings and other gifts, but because the old woman who claims she is a nurse wanted to argue with us, when an actual nurse was in our group, I will not be returning; and she should return back to the hospital to work as a "nurse", since she is supposedly one. What is the point of arguing with your customers about things that don't concern you or your "nursing license"??? read more

Such an awesome gift shop in Solvang. It is definantly a one stop shop for all your last minute Christmas shopping and souvenir needs. They had a wide variety of Danish and European souvenirs. They had everything from magnets, coffee mugs, kitchen accessories. jewelry, bags, clothing, and more. Located under the windmill in downtown Solvang, it's the perfect spot for a gift shop. This place has tons of neat gifts and souvenirs to choose from. We spent some time looking at all of the tchotchkes, mugs, t-shirts, and magnets. I also saw wooden clogs. I found it interesting that they carried Dutch souvenirs considering that Solvang was founded by Danish settlers from Denmark. Denmark. Not the same as the Netherlands (Holland), which is Dutch. We were roaming solvang and decided to walk into this cute shop. They have a ton of small souvenirs that I've definitely seen on my trip to holland. The perfect place to get danish souvenirs.. they have a awesome variety of items. The staff was very dry and even stared at us while we shopped, which was kinda of strange.
