This is nothing compared to the real harsh truth of reality. This honest review is for the sole purpose of bettering the company and hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Clearly the person bothered is probably the lazy worker who saw the review or the shop owner*** The person working behind the register did not welcome us coming in the store. My partner and I entered twice and I noticed not once did she say anything to us. I saw her look up, look at us and look back down. She was sitting down the whole time looking at her laptop. Did not get up once. Lazy. Meanwhile, when an older couple walked in she immediately said hello and welcomed them. I don't care for discrimination but choosing and picking who you want to welcome in your store is a red flag. She may have judged us by the way we looked or dressed because we felt unwelcome so we left. My suggestion is to not pick and choose who they want to speak to because it was a lost sale, lost customer retention, lost business. For that reason we left and purchased nothing. Employee was unfriendly and did not smile. In the future I suggest saying hello, being more attentive instead of sitting down doing nothing.

Just know that this place is often very full of inventory and crowds so it can get tough to walk around & shop. It won't be a casual shopping experience. Especially on weekends and summers. I came here mainly because I heard it was a great place to get old Lego minifigure bags. However, I was not expecting some of the older ones to go for up to $30 a bag! That's highway robbery. You can find opened ones online for a fraction of that price and when you do that, there's no need to guess if you are getting the one you want (or be surprised at all by what you're paying for). If you're looking for bags to keep sealed, this is a great option for you, but for someone like me who was just looking to get one or two to complete a series, this just wasn't priced right enough for me to pull the trigger. I did, however, purchase a single mini figure that's exclusive to a Danish store chain. Was it overpriced? Yeah. But not too high that I didn't feel like treating myself. Staff is very friendly and I saw them happily helping customers all throughout the shop. Customer service is great here. So rest assured if you have questions about inventory or if you want to try on something, there will be someone here to help you out quickly.

It beckoned me to enter with the promise of treasures beyond their doors. It is a beautifully organized and decorated store. Curated items were professionally displayed. I do understand the mark up is needed to sustain the running of this business, etc. I will wait to return to Old Town Temecula where they sell the exact same items for much lower. This is one of the stores we stopped in during our wanderings. It's beautifully displayed, with many different feature areas. From unique kitchen gadgets and accessories, to home accents of many different types, there's much to see and consider here. Full retail is in effect, and some of the items seem very pricey, which is the reason for a one star reduction. Still, I found it very enjoyable to browse their selections, enjoying the stylish displays. I did find several items to take home, plus picked up a couple small gifts. I particularly love a silicone spatula I bought here, which has an ergonomic design that makes it comfortable to use. I don't know how they'll manage reopening / whether they offer buy online and pickup with minimal contact. I hope that they'll be able to survive the Coronavirus situation!

My mom and her friend just went out on what was supposed to be one of my mom's first real pleasant outings in a while because my mom has had cancer and intense chemo. So they went to Santa Ynez. They purchased several items and my mom, who is 90, had clearly lost all her hair, looks very weak, pointed out to the woman behind the counter that she wanted to purchase an 8$ hand cream she was carrying around and was going to leave it at the counter. The woman ignored her so my mom kept shopping and carried it with her. At one point, my mom was looking at something so she put the hand cream in her purse so that she could use both hands. She and her friend bought many items INCLUDING the $8 hand cream. A week later, my mom brought me back to the store to get something she had been thinking about wanting to purchase. As soon as we walked into the store, the woman charged over to my mom and started berating her about putting the hand cream in her purse the week before. She threatened my mom that she was either going to ban her from the store or she would keep both of our purses as we shopped. We were shocked. My mom said calmly "I showed you the hand cream and told you I wanted to purchase it. And I paid for the hand cream along with the other items. Do you not remember that?" The woman kept berating my mom and said "but you put it in your purse! Who does that?" I said "Someone who is 90, has cancer, just had chemo, is weak and wants to use both hands to look at something and then takes the item out of her purse to purchase it and the other things she purchased!!! "... This didn't stop the woman's tirade. My mom gently said "do you honestly believe that at the end of the year, I would care about $8? Does that sound reasonable to you?" And the woman said " the conversation is over" and followed us around the store - literally - just followed us around the store. It was awful. My mom and I left, shaking. We have never been treated like that my anyone ever in a store. Save yourself from being treated like this. No business deserves customers who treats them like this.
