Just know that this place is often very full of inventory and crowds so it can get tough to walk around & shop. It won't be a casual shopping experience. Especially on weekends and summers. I came here mainly because I heard it was a great place to get old Lego minifigure bags. However, I was not expecting some of the older ones to go for up to $30 a bag! That's highway robbery. You can find opened ones online for a fraction of that price and when you do that, there's no need to guess if you are getting the one you want (or be surprised at all by what you're paying for). If you're looking for bags to keep sealed, this is a great option for you, but for someone like me who was just looking to get one or two to complete a series, this just wasn't priced right enough for me to pull the trigger. I did, however, purchase a single mini figure that's exclusive to a Danish store chain. Was it overpriced? Yeah. But not too high that I didn't feel like treating myself. Staff is very friendly and I saw them happily helping customers all throughout the shop. Customer service is great here. So rest assured if you have questions about inventory or if you want to try on something, there will be someone here to help you out quickly.

From the outside it looks magical but when you step in it's a different vibe. When I entered there were a couple or workers, perhaps the proprietors behind the counter. They didn't bother to look up or acknowledge my presence with a greeting. I felt invisible. There were a variety of unique toys and a nice assortment of children's clothing and accessories. They were pricey. However, I did find some cute items to purchase for our 7 year old grandson. Then I thought better of it and put them back. They don't really want my business.

The Book Loft had a wonderful mix of new and older books of all different genres! I wanted to buy some many, but I composed myself and ended up only buying 1 book for my daughter as well as a Harry Potter Loteria game for a friend of mine. They had a great selection of so many games as well. The Hans Christian Andersen Museum is upstairs (highly recommend checking out) so they had a lot of his books displayed which I enjoyed seeing! Every book I checked out was priced fairly and I didn't think they were trying to take advantage of their tourists which was nice. Staff were also very friendly! I would definitely stop into The Book Loft again next time we are visiting Solvang! Check them out!

At this visit I was looking for a delicate sterling silver ring that our daughter has been searching for. I was surprised to find it and took a picture to send to her. In doing that I also took a picture of the wall of clocks, since it was nostalgic to our last visit. My husband then told me about the No Videos/Photos signs (sorry!). Our daughter texted back saying it was the ring she wanted. A staff member happened to come up at that moment who asked if I needed any help. She opened the case, but the ring was too big. She was so kind to look through the other sizes with me, but they didn't have more. We then walked around admiring all the collectibles and the wonderful details of the wooden German clocks. We plan to come back when our daughter visits in the Spring. Hopefully they will have her size then.

There was a lady behind the counter but she avoided greeting me. I know this is a tourist town because the pricing was high. This is one of the stores we stopped in during our wanderings. It's beautifully displayed, with many different feature areas. From unique kitchen gadgets and accessories, to home accents of many different types, there's much to see and consider here. Full retail is in effect, and some of the items seem very pricey, which is the reason for a one star reduction. Still, I found it very enjoyable to browse their selections, enjoying the stylish displays. I did find several items to take home, plus picked up a couple small gifts. I particularly love a silicone spatula I bought here, which has an ergonomic design that makes it comfortable to use. I don't know how they'll manage reopening / whether they offer buy online and pickup with minimal contact. I hope that they'll be able to survive the Coronavirus situation!
