Everyone is really nice. Not everyone is fluent in English, nor should they be, but the front desk staff is certainly better than my nearly non-existent Turkish.
They are located within 5 minutes of the center of Taksim Square, 2 minutes from the from of the New Taksim Mosque. Which means you as a traveler can access not only public transport but also 3 distinct taxi puicj up and drop off areas.
Breakfast is not the Turkish immense spread that I've indulged in the past but it certainly is a good way to start a busy day of sightseeing
The staff is incredibly kind and helpful.
The rooms while not ultra modern, are comfortable, clean, have a refrigerator, ample outlets for two persons, a good sized bathroom and shower -- and I luvluvluv the heat and water pressure! (At least on the 2nd floor)
We have a window that opens, so we can get fresh air.
And that insulates fairly well once sealed shut. The environs can get loud esp on Friday and Saturday nights. This is a major gathering point for the city.
And if you're looking for İstiklal st -- it's literally 5 minutes' walk away
But at least here, you don't get that steady stream of humanity going past your door read more
