The owner and her sons run the business. Amazing customer service and they are very knowledgeable about bbq, grills etc. ! The inventory was very impressive! The mission of this store is to be the "one stop shop" for everything bbq related and it certainly delivers on their mission!! It's high time for an update here…read more It's amusing to go back and read my old reviews. I was pretty strict in my ratings, truthfully I still am. But that is tempered with more experience and hopefully empathy. I stand by my original words, even though I cringe when re-reading them. When I'm in this farmers market there are several businesses I like to patronize. I don't always need to buy things here, but every time I do I'm happy with the quality and price. On my recent visit I was getting something elsewhere here for an uncle, and then I had a sudden flash of insight.... I'd see if they had any chicken pot pies in stock. They did and I selected the larger one, and a Lancaster brand that I knew I liked. I also got their homemade red bliss potato salad. I liked it a lot and will have to try other salads. The pie was great as always, and a pretty good deal at $9. Other customers were buying the amazing thick cut bacon or other pristine pieces of meat. Along with a few other Lancaster imported items, this shop still carries the local honey from a stall they've expanded into. I was happy to find that credit cards are accepted and I believe there is no additional fee. This butcher shop is a pillar of this market and not one to be overlooked.

( this is no joke folks, this is a true story! ) I think it may have followed me home, just knowing I had such fresh meat and poultry ;+} Coincidence or not, Zook's fresh poultry makes you never want to look at a grocery stores highly processed birds again. All natural plump whole chickens, legs, thighs, breasts or wings and it's the same with the turkeys, which are sold fresh year 'round. They have capons, duck and goose by order, especially around the holidays. Want rabbit, they have it all year 'round and if you would like homemade stuffing and gravy, it's yours. Not only this, they have huge fresh whole chicken or turkey breasts stuffed or you can buy a half breast, stuffed to take home and roast, making your kitchen and home smell like you have been working for hours in the kitchen. They sell Cornish hens, farm fresh eggs, ground turkey and chicken, fresh chicken or turkey tenders, hearts, gizzards and livers, oh my! Various sizes of homemade chicken, turkey or beef pot pies to bake at home and chicken cordon bleu.
