It's high time for an update here…read more It's amusing to go back and read my old reviews. I was pretty strict in my ratings, truthfully I still am. But that is tempered with more experience and hopefully empathy. I stand by my original words, even though I cringe when re-reading them. When I'm in this farmers market there are several businesses I like to patronize. I don't always need to buy things here, but every time I do I'm happy with the quality and price. On my recent visit I was getting something elsewhere here for an uncle, and then I had a sudden flash of insight.... I'd see if they had any chicken pot pies in stock. They did and I selected the larger one, and a Lancaster brand that I knew I liked. I also got their homemade red bliss potato salad. I liked it a lot and will have to try other salads. The pie was great as always, and a pretty good deal at $9. Other customers were buying the amazing thick cut bacon or other pristine pieces of meat. Along with a few other Lancaster imported items, this shop still carries the local honey from a stall they've expanded into. I was happy to find that credit cards are accepted and I believe there is no additional fee. This butcher shop is a pillar of this market and not one to be overlooked.

Many of the stalls were empty and even though I did see a sign for the event, that, too, was empty. I did, however, patronize the Tea-For-All and The Pie-d Piper stalls for breakfast and they were lovely. Very warm and welcoming people working there. I asked the locals about their recommendations so I will be back to Trenton Farmer's Market. And, I saw some stalls that I wished were open. I'll give it another shot.
