Great store. First time at this location and it was a great experience. Me and my daughter browsed each isle to find some things to make dinner and found basically everything from meats to lo mein noodles to fresh fish. We ended up getting a bunch of different things to try and she got these mango fruit ice creams that she couldn't even wait to open and eat before we got home. The price wasn't bad for the amount of things we had in the cart. I just hope we can make what we bought. I would recommend this store because it has so many great things to buy. They also have premade sushi, gyoza and tempura. read more

Friendly and very good service. Ate family style. Dishes we ate were numbers 2, 7, 13, 14, 17, 18 and 21. Very good served hot and tasty. The only dish which was average to me was the fried rice. Went here to grocery shop and the supermarket is a good spot to shop at. After shopping, I noticed that the restaurant on the side is finally open and this store is never open whenever I go there. I don't know if it's true but apparently they changed owners for the restaurant part but I've noticed a change in their food. Food was very bland, it's wasn't great and I didn't enjoy it. I ordered the soon dubu tofu soup and it comes with rice and side dishes. The soup was bland, felt weak in flavor and it was loaded with only tofu and little seafood was provided. The workers were very nice and friendly and provided great service for my takeout. Restaurant is a tiny spots with tables all cramped together. Don't think I would go back for their food, I rather make the far drive to the new hmart food court instead. read more

This Hmart is conveniently located - right by the crossroads and across the intersection from the bubble tea shop. It was easy to find parking as the lot was large and well kept. The store inside was clean, and the layout was easy to navigate, starting with the large fresh produce aisle, and moving clockwise towards the refrigerated and frozen sections. I really appreciate that the store stocks a variety of brands (Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, etc) so there's a diverse selection specific to what you plan on cooking. You can also find many international brands of yakult yogurt drinks unique to the countries they're from. I was particularly happy that they had a lot of natto brands to choose from! You'd never find fermented soybeans in a Wegmans or Giant. The employees are very helpful and polite. When I needed help reaching something on a higher shelf, someone came right over to assist me. With all the international snacks and special goods that aren't accessible in most grocery stores, this Hmart is a gem in the area. Will definitely be back! read more

The store is ok, but check the best by and expire dates on their products as items might be past those dates. I made the mistake of not checking and in January bought a small canned item that was several months past the 'best by' date. Not the end of the world, but I went to see if I could exchange for more recent best by date. I admit that I didn't have the receipt, as I don't really save the receipt for small grocery items. I was told I couldn't exchange without a receipt. I understand people might try to take advantage of returning or exchanging without receipts, but it would be nice if they would have let me exchange a small item without receipt that was months past best by date, as a courtesy. Will be hard to want to shop at a store that doesn't trust you as a customer. read more

If you've ever been to an Hmart in NY, this branch is sure to disappoint. I used to live close to Hmart's in both Queens and Westchester NY and all were spectacular. Not only did they have any amazing assortment of Asian and Western goods but they also had plenty of organics and good in house restaurants to boot. Sadly I was quite let down with what I found here in Levittown. There were almost no organic foods, there were expired products all over the place, and the restaurant was just like every other run of the mill Asian place. Nothing special at all. They do have a fair selection of fresh produce and their selection of pre-packaged Asian foods is second to none. But Hmart here reminds me of a sad niche minimarket more than a go to shopping spot. The HMart food court used to be worth it, but lately this place has been a huge disappointment. I normally order the spicy pork with rice dish for under $10, and they jacked the price to $15 now! I wouldn't have an issue with the price because of inflation but they clearly cut costs with this dish. I can clearly taste the difference. They either pit a minuscule drop of the paste or they substituted the paste with cheap ingredients because I now taste a ton of white pepper and other things that have a different flavor and texture than before. It's also super burnt in that clay bowl. I won't be returning to the food court. At least the Cheltenham location's pork dish still tastes like the one I expected since I'm already paying a lot for it. read more

It's your local Asian grocery store. It's got all the necessities. What you didn't know is that it has food. What the hell did you expect though from any Asian grocery store. Food 5/5 I've only tried the food once. My mistake that I haven't come more often. I ordered the KFC or "Korean Fried Chicken" and it has since changed my life. I'm enamored by this. If this is what marriage was like, the divorce rate would be much lower. I wish our politicians were as quality as these damn wings. Sweet and spicy. Insane crunch. I've never had anything like it. Only "issue" is that it's slightly over priced. Service ? It's a shitty little food area in an Asian grocery store in an obscure part of Levittown, which is in an obscure part of Bucks County. Honestly, think about that before your expectations get too high. Ambience ? Read the above. In conclusion, I don't care about service and ambience in regards to this place. This is my go-to store for Asian foods. I was raised with traditional Japanese cooking so there are a lot of vegetables and sauces that you cannot find at your usual Stop n Shop or Whole Foods. This HMart is worth a 23min drive from Trenton, NJ and has better service and selection than other HMarts that I've been to (despite the others being bigger). They have a ton of Korean foods, brands, and ingredients. My main gripe was that some of their stock seems a bit old (the long eggplants were squishy, daikon radish was also squishy, Napa cabbage looked like it was attacked by an army of caterpillars). Maybe I was just unlucky and came a day before a new shipment. Overall, still pretty happy to have a nearby Asian foods market that is pretty reliable with a nice assortment of brands, sauces, and unique vegetables. read more

Is it comparable to the other Hmarts I've been to (in Queens, NY)? No, definitely not. Do they have all the basic things that I need for our Korean household, to cook our favorite Korean meals? Yes, they do (and it's the only one in the area). It's a grocery store with a little area that serves up meals, too. We find it sufficient for our needs, and the prices are basically the same as we'd find in NYC (except for the fact that the ones in NYC usually have more dramatic sales/specials). The only thing I might say is that the veggies tend to wilt a bit sooner than I'd like. I'm not sure how fresh everything is or when they get their deliveries, but sometimes it's a hit or a miss type of situation, especially their classic staples (onions, potatoes, scallions). PS - I just had to address another review that's on here, saying that people shouldn't shop at this Hmart unless you speak Korean. I speak fluent Korean and I can't help but to laugh at that obviously-false review, because most of the cashiers there (and even some of the employees stocking shelves and cleaning around the store) don't speak Korean! I've been there countless times, mistakenly asked a question in Korean, only to be nervously turned away with the usual hands-waving-in-the-air and the "oh sorry, I'm not Korean!" I've also always been greeted with smiles and hellos from most of the employees, so perhaps it was a personal issue for that one guy. *shrug* read more

It may not have the shelf space of the large Asian Markets in Flushing, nor the mystique of my favorite subterranean shop in Philly, but H Mart is only ten minutes from home and provides me with most of the Asian specialties I would otherwise get stuck on the Verrazano Bridge to reach, or be forced to pay ten bucks to park in Center City. Returned last night to pick up Chinese Eggplant, Ginger Root, Assorted Frozen Dumplings, Hot Dumpling Sauce, Crispy Chili in Oil, and a big can of Wasabi Sweet Peas (Thailand), for meals and snacks over the next few weeks; while checking out the fresh fish, and other exotics, like an anthropologist enjoying a stroll through a museum. I have yet to take a seat in the little café to taste what's going on there, but until I do, the rest of the store suits my needs perfectly. read more

I tried JjanJjangMyun there and the flavors were all there but they could have been stronger. Don't order ramen because its instant, overpriced and the aisle to buy it in bulk for cheaper is like 5 steps away. Their kimbap is a change from the typical store-brand sushi, is pretty good and you get a bit more for your money than if you got the sushi. And unless you speak Korean, sometimes the English gets lost between the cooks. But overall, not bad considering the store itself is a provider of great quality produce, meats, products and various Asian ingredients in an area where ethnic stores are scarce. read more

It seems this time I should give a review. This is a 4.5 stars review for Hmart levitown. 0.5 off for the sanitizer refill frequency, and at the same time they compensate with free gloves at the entrance. I am actually a picky chemist fighting against COVID with my students and families. According my individual observation, Asian supermarkets are doing much better than Walmart and Shoprite since Jan and Feb 2020, and this Hmart has proper capacity during the weekdays. I respect all the essential food workers and providers here. ESPECIALLY, the fish department ppl almost get the same style like my coverall suit. I tried a lot to persuade ppl protecting themselves from Jan, and I believe this site is helping us all the time. P.S. H-Marts vary DRASTICALLY from store to store and this H-Mart is entirely different from the one near my home in Southern New Jersey. The store is big for an Asian grocery, but small by H-Mart standards. It's got a very nice produce section and an EXCELLENT meat department, but the fishmonger is woefully small by Asian grocer standards. The selection of and brand of items sold in each H-Mart also varies, and I was disappointed not to find some things I was expecting, but also found things that my store didn't have. The store is very neat and clean and well organized, and the staff are lovely. The store also has a small eatery with hot homemade Korean food for eat in or take out. read more

I have a serious penchant for Asian sweets, and luckily for me this place is close enough that I don't have to deal with ordering Japanese and Korean junk food online. Their snack aisle is impressive, packed with tons of confectionary oddities not typically found in the states. Then again, if you love Asian cooking in general, this place is a haven. Tons of interesting sauces, pre made lunches, many varieties of noodles and odd cuts of meat. The prices aren't too steep, even considering most of their inventory is imported, and whenever I go in I can never leave empty handed. Keep in mind it's just a grocery store, but it's an interesting experience nonetheless. read more

There must be an H-Mart on every corner. I was at 2 today. This one surprised me. I was going from Adriatic Pizza to Oxford Valley Mall and got confused as to which was Oxford Valley Rd. and which was Woodbourne Rd., so I ended up in the plaza. Then, I had a moment thinking about the Sunshine Club (at Delaware Valley Medical Center, for accounting and IT employees) and how we would buy Carvel ice cream cakes once a month for birthdays at work. Then, there was the Italian bakery, and H-Mart! I couldn't resist H-Mart. It was the second today. Since this is the 30th anniversary, I thought that they'd have all sorts of things planned and they did have some housewares specials, as well as the food. I don't know how they squeeze everything into that small space. I didn't notice, but I suspect this one replaced the one on S.R. 413, keeping the number at 3 Philadelphia area stores in Pennsylvania. read more

Definitely not as nice as the H-Mart in Edison, NJ, but for this area it's the best Asian market around. There are always deals on the fresh meats and a large aisle with many different types of tofu. It has some staples from various Asian countries like Vietnam and Japan. 90% of the store is catered towards Korean ingredients because H-Mart is a Korean supermarket. It's my stop if I'm looking for specialty mushrooms or some good tofu. They also have organ meats like chicken hearts and beef stomach (which I really like) that you can't find at a regular supermarket. read more

The restaurant inside the Levittown Hmart is called Myung Ga. I've been coming here regularly for a couple of years now, and the food is so fresh, so delicious, it tastes like your Korean auntie made it at home. Seriously though, they are inside a supermarket, so rest assured, the ingredients are fresh, not frozen. It is so comforting to come here on a cold day and enjoy a piping hot stone pot of sundubu or bibimbab. The owner runs it and is always on site, so the service is excellent. The portions are great too, with free appetizers, you will not leave hungry. Prices are decent too - I've been to much fancier, much more expensive Korean restaurants with half the quality and service of Myung Ga. read more

If you're in MontCo, there's always Cheltenham Avenue and Elkins/Melrose Park. If you're in Philly, there's Chinatown. But the white bread, socks-and-sandals crowd of Bucks County relies on this Korean grocery chain as a rare source of flavor in a mayonnaise-flavored desert. Okay, that's probably unfair, but it's really life-changing to have a place like this 15 minutes from my house. H-Mart is a Korean chain, but carries Japanese, Chinese, and Filipino products as well. Their produce is cheap (They *actually* know how to sell starfruit at a reasonable price here), and their meat selection is great, That being said, this particular location is a bit small for an H-Mart. There's no fish balls, there isn't a lot of hot food, and there isn't a bakery (most places will either have a separate Tous Les Jours or Paris Baguette location). But compared to anything else in Bucks County, it's special. In sum, H Mart is the best of what Bucks has to offer. I go here often, and recommend everybody do the same. read more

I cannot adequately express how much I love H Mart. Shopping here has cut our grocery costs in AT LEAST half, if not more. I never spend over $40 on a week's groceries. EVER. The produce is fresh and cheap cheap cheap. Of course you have to paw through things, but you really always do. Some of the squashes come on styrofoam trays and are shrink-wrapped, which I wish they wouldn't do not only because of the styrofoam but because shrink-wrapping retains moisture and makes the stuff get moldy. Be sure to unwrap your things before you put them in the fridge. H Mart also stocks a huge variety of frozen dumplings, noodles, tofu, rice cakes, kimchi, and other Asian foods. It's just fabulous, and I really can't say enough positive about it. The cashiers are friendly and fast, and although it's sometimes busy in there I've never had to wait very long to check out. Be aware that the produce section is a little cramped and so you might have to wait a few moments for the person ahead of you in the aisle, but people are usually very considerate of one another. read more
