Dealing with the death of a parent is hard enough, then add in a world pandemic, and you have total disbelief in what is happening. We were referred to Nimsgern Funeral services by a nurse who was caring for my Mom. Jamie, from the funeral home, came right to our Mom's house And with compassion and patience, walked my sister and I through all that we would need to do to lay our Mom to rest. Though we weren't able to give our Mom the funeral service that we would liked to have given her, because of the pandemic circumstances, Jamie did help us to give our Mom the best care and respect that she deserved. Though we could not have a public funeral for our Mom in their funeral home, we did go there to make the final arrangements for our Mom, and the building and facilities that they offer are very nice. They had no qualms about storing the cremains until we could return to the area a year later to have our own private scattering. Service was polite and professional. We too, will use the suggestion from them for the headstone monument. However, their assistance in this process is only to advise. The monument company that is chosen is responsible for the actual delivery and placement of that stone. This is not the first funeral I have been involved with. My husband is a minister in another city in WI and we have worked with many families over the years. Emotions run rampant during seasons of grief and misplaced blame may not be fair to a reputable business such as this. What a great guy. My Mom died of cancer and her body was emaciated by cancer and was hesitate to go with an open casket. When I seen how Mom was prepared she was absolutely beautiful! Everyone said the same. She was elegant like she was pre sickness. Also, they prepared all my old photos of my Moms life with the right touch of music added. It was a piano rendition of "Country Roads Take Me Home" that John Denver made in the 1970's. It was so beautiful and appropriate. The place for a funeral palor is modern and not creepy. Cheerful and a great place to celebrate a past life, not some depressing old dark place. I really can't say enough. They were all so warm, compassionate and caring. Worth absolutely every dollar I spent. Death can be expensive but they were less than the other guys anyway. We had many options to go from casket selection to where to have the celebration party. Six stars for these guys. Amen
