None of us were very excited about moving but he and his men came ready to work and went right to it. I lived on the 4th floor near to elevator in my Point apt. My Rapids Apt is on the second floor and required stairs. Needless to say it was A LOT of very hard work and Larry worked right along with them. Even with drive time they got it done in a record amount of time, and everything survived without a ding. They damaged a lot of furniture as well as a lot of walls and some very find trim in the house. When I called them out on it, they said they would make adjustments for the bill to move my eyes stuff from storage to my new house. On the day of the scheduled move, I was called an hour before they were supposed to arrive and was told they weren't coming.Because my wife was rude when she called them out on the stuff that they destroyed. I talked to the manager and all he said, was, I can't force them to come. I will never get them again.And never tell anyone to get them for moving.

They showed up early, (super impressive), worked their BUTTS off on a hot July day and absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. We grossly underestimated how much we had to move and ended up needing to rent an additional U-Haul truck the day of our move. (Totally our fault). These guys pitched in and helped in more ways than I could ever list. They remained calm, positive, enthusiastic, and were extremely professional and respectful. I could literally not say enough good about this moving company!!! I give them my absolute highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed if you go with Family Affordable Moving. They handled all of our stuff with upmost care and we did not suffer even one scratch or ding. They worked very quickly and very hard for hours without even taking a break. They are more expensive than others but at least on the first time, it went well. This time they were very professional on the estimating and up front processes. Especially when it came to getting the money. I was getting responses within a matter of seconds from the coordinator and our account representative. Then after they had our money, things slowed down and it was impossible to get any information. No idea when the crews will arrive etc. Our things are somewhere in transit and we don't know when they will be delivered. I may change my review based on how things end up, but for now I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. I used Northstar moving for a previous long distance move (from Chicago to Texas), and they were much better.
