I called Get A Grip for a repair to my lift installed by the company around 2018. The difficulty with repairing my lift was that the battery used now by the company is not compatible with my 2018 lift the company installed in 2018. It was suggested that I purchase a refurbished or new lift. I am 72 and retired. With inflation and what have you, the suggestion wasn't feasible. I paid the $200 for the repair person coming out and that was that. What was I to do after release from the hospital after my first hip replacement surgery? I decided to call another lift repair company and I was saved. The owner had the batteries need for my lift. He came out and he did the repair. My grandmother is having mobility issues, so we decided to change her tub to a walk in, using the cutout method. This entire process has left me totally impressed and I am beyond satisfied. First, their customer service rep, Ivonne is kind, knowledgeable, easily reachable, and extremely professional. She explained everything in detail, never got irritated with our million calls with more questions, and ensured timely service. She made sure to contact us to let us know when the contractors would be out, called the morning of to tell us they were on the way, and stayed in touch throughout the day to make sure things were going well. She even offered moral support when my grandmother was having anxiety about the changes and assured us she would be happy when she saw how useful the changes were. She was right. The contractors were extremely efficient, clean, and knowledgeable about making sure that elderly people could get the maximum use out of the upgrades.We ended up asking them to do extra work (installing hand rails throughout the house, replacing the toilet, and installing a toilet seat riser) and they got it all done in the same day. The company even sent out extra men to make sure we got everything done that day. The finished product is flawless and better than we expected. You have absolutely NOTHING to worry about with this company. The prices are fair and It was WELL worth it. I am so happy for my 93 year old grandmother and so is she. For those wondering, we paid 3,400 total for the tub cut (around 1,600), installation of grab bars in the bathroom and laundry room, a brand new toilet, removal of old toilet, and permanent toilet handles. Some of this work can be DIY if you are handy, but I don't think anyone saves much money by doing it alone. I'm so grateful to have found this company and will definitely recommend to the many elder family members that are in the area. read more

Very happy with the work done by Get-a-Grip. They did a home assessment and ultimately added railings outside, banisters and grab bars inside on the stairs and bathrooms, as well as other items to assist my mother return home following her hip replacement surgeries. The work was done professionally and in a timely manner. There was a small snafu with the invoicing that was easily resolved. One initial concern we had with having this type of retrofitting done was that it would be too "obvious," that the extra bars and railings would stand out too much from the original design of the home (old brick colonial) - however the final results blend into the background as a result of the company's choice of color and placement.
