Almost every time I'm there, I see staff actively cleaning the floors, wiping down machines, and making sure equipment stays sanitary. It's clear that they're putting effort into keeping the place clean and comfortable for members. Another thing that stands out is how friendly and welcoming the staff is. Everyone at the front desk is polite and helpful, and they always greet people when they walk in. The three manager ladies who are usually there especially deserve a shoutout--they're always professional, approachable, and doing a great job keeping things running smoothly. You can tell they genuinely care about the gym and the members. There are plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, cable machines, squat racks, benches, and free weights, so it's easy to get a full workout without feeling limited.

I use this room every time I go here and not one time have I been able to compete the circuit IN ORDER and not one time have I been able to use every single machine in the circuit due to other members just sitting on these machines on their phones. But those of us who pay about $25 for the Black Card amenities are jipped! i love that thete are a HUGE amount of cardio TREADMILLS to choose from, but that's pretty much it! There are Elipticals and the bikes. Don't like those. Every other Stairclimber is broken and they have been for the last month and a half since i've joined. Along with that, every other weight machine is broken also and have been for weeks!! What really did it for me today (Friday May 22)? I like to use the amenities, which include the hydro-bed and the stand up tanning booths. And today I couldn't use them! There is ONE infrared booth that they keep saying it's broken. But that's been for a whole month and a half it's been down. So I use the stand up tanning booths. Tanning booth #1 is just fine, but #2 doesn't have enough cooling with the fans! You can only stand being in there for 3 minutes before you start boiling! Something is VERY wrong there! Today, when I asked to use #1booth, the gentleman told me #1 is down! WHAAAT!!?? EVEN THE LAY DOWN TANNING BED IS OUT!?? I was NOT interested in boiling for 3 minutes in #2!!!! And there's only one hydro-bed in use, because the other ones, as one of the girls told me, they were "overheating" and are down! This is a horrible disservice that this particular Planet Fitness is doing to their members! I do understand things break down. But my gosh, why does it take so long to get it fixed?? Not to mention the filthy women's dressing room ( there were globs of hair and crumbs from what looks like chips on the floor under the changing room bench) as well as the big glob of hair that was in the walkway as you enter the black card membership glass entrance. The big fan was swirling it around, and all I can think of was yuck! I went to the Tracy Planet Fitness today and my goodness, the difference is night and day! It's cleaner! I went into their tanning booth and man....it was CLEAN and not to mention a lot bigger! I KNOW it was clean because you could smell the formula that they put in the spray bottles. and it was very evident. I'll be driving from Lathrop to Tracy for now on. I would not set foot in the Manteca facility at all and I will advise against it unless something changes quick!

He was very helpful sharing the benefits of each membership tier and what I could expect. Because it's the newest gym in town, most times of the day are relatively busy. You can expect the early hours to be more laid back and for volume to drop as we get further into the year. No word as to whether or not they plan on offering a summer program for minors that would increase how many people are trying to attend and take up space. As of now, there's plenty of equipment to accommodate most of the guests. Community stuff like resistance bands, weight belts and boxing gloves were a very nice touch. They offer hot classes, babysitting, and an impressive R&R (relax and recover) amenities like a co-ed sauna, various massage chairs and wall connected tissue massage guns. Great facility overall, but I'd like to see better accommodation for services to be available at all ranges of hours. Doesn't make much sense to pay for a premium tier membership when most of the perks of classes and training are during typical 9-5 hours. Also the music is set rather loud. I'm not hard of hearing but I struggles to hear the staff that was speaking right next to me.

This is a really busy gym, so I understand it can be challenging to keep up, but the majority of the members here don't rerack weights or wipe down equipment. Management needs to take this into consideration and either be more strict about enforcing rules or hire more people to stay on top of cleanliness on the gym floor. I've lost count of how many times I've had to rerack multiple 45s that were left by a person before me. Going anytime past 4pm will guarantee you encounter people working out in large groups and camping out on machines for 30 mins or more due to being there to socialize more than actually working out. There are constantly people rough housing and nearly bumping into you on the turf, weights scattered all over the floor, and men yelling obnoxiously and claiming multiple machines at once. It makes getting a quick work out in challenging, and really limits the times I feel comfortable going here. The only way to avoid behavior like this is to go really early in the morning or on weekends because the staff does nothing to address it. I've considered switching to a more expensive gym just for the sake of having a larger window of time to work out comfortably. Unfortunately, the entry level price point attracts inconsiderate patrons, so I wouldn't be opposed to a base price increase to weed out some of the more unserious people. Overall, the biggest downfall of this gym is the lack of enforcement because it truly has potential to be the best gym in town if something is done to manage some of the problematic behavior from patrons.

I sighed up online, tried to schedule an appointment, had to miss it because I work 9-5 out side of town. Scheduled another appointment for Saturday at 10. I've spent 23 minutes waiting for someone to help me finish setting up the membership I already paid for and can't use till I get the access key. No one picks up the phone. You get texts that seem to come from a real person but they dont respond when you've scheduled the appointment. Can't enter the gym unless you have the access key. Probably the worst example of customer service I have experienced simply because I haven't received any. I've paid for this membership for almost two weeks now and haven't been able to use it once simply because ANYTIME fitness doesn't have ANY customer service or prioritization for onboarding on new members. I've called multiple times, not once did I get a call back, not even durring business hours. It's ridiculous to have someone pay for a service they can't even use temporarily. I didn't even get a free trial pass. If the office isn't open on weekends, then why allow scheduling. If some members can't make an appointment, why require a first time visit if your reps aren't even going to be available to provide assistance. It just makes no sense to me as to why it has been such an ordeal for me to try and out health first for once. By the time I'm writing this review I will have been here for almost half an hour with no kind of assistance. No text, no call, no app assistance. This experience has really discouraged me from using gym services, especially this gym and I was excited to become a member since it's 24 hours and they have many locations and amenities and I would have been happy to share a positive experience if I had one. Please. I just wanna work out any time I want. Not wait in membership limbo for the off chance I see one of these elusive representatives. Still waiting for my appointment when I post this too. Will be canceling. I have no choice. I'm not gonna pay for something that I can't use. New clients should be wary of singing up. I have worked in customer service for nearly my entire working life and I have never encountered a service that has such useless customer service protocol for the real working class of Tracy. Not even a live or ai chat box in sight. No signs life in the physical office, no call backs, no emails, not even a letter. Just a total waste of time, effort and hard earned funds. I will be canceling and seeking a full refund as no service towards my personally paid membership was met with follow through on the business behalf.
