Overall: We went for the bioluminescent kayaking The guides were great and very informative - it was an amazing and unique experience. While the luminescencee wasn't the brightest since we were at the tail end of the season, it was still super cool to see! The Service: The guides were really friendly and provided a lot great facts while we were kayaking. We even spotted a gator. The groups are small so it's very personalized. They had great stories abou the area. The Experience: This is perfect even if you've never kayaked before. The staff gives tips on how to paddle and the water is calm so you don't have to paddle too hard. While the luminescence was hard to pick up on camera, it was super cool to see the blue on the clear bottom kayaks and the oars as you paddled. Make sure you bring your deet free bug spray! The mosquitoes bite a lot! Price: For a unique experience, the price was extremely reasonable! I would definitely go again on a different tour since I noticed they do a lot of different tours across Florida. Parking: Parking is on the side of the road. I can't comment on the quality of the tours as I didn't get that far, but I can describe my booking experience. Most providers in the area simply allow you to cancel with far enough notice before the tour, usually a couple days. This provider bizarrely requires you purchase trip protection for 10% of your total order. On top of that, this "protection" doesn't even reimburse the full amount, it will only give you your ticket price back and a little more, it does not reimburse fees or the cost of the protection. I was $30 in the hole when I canceled for a $140 total purchase, which seems really unnecessary and predatory to me. For booking practices alone, I would suggest another provider in the area. read more

What a great night time excursion! The kayaks are clear so you get a better view of the bioluminescence organisms. Whether you put your hand or your oar (or even the small fishing net they provide to try and catch a crab!) in the canal, the movement on the water creates a beautiful glowing effect! Only groups of up to 10 are allowed per trip to enhance your personalized experience. You can have either a single or a double in the clear kayaks. Two guides go along with you and they do an outstanding job of explaining everything around you. One of our guides, Ashley, was amazing. I didn't get her partner's name, but he was just as good as well at providing comical comments that made us laugh. What a great team! Seeing the plankton and the fish race through the waters was like watching fireworks in the river! We saw alligators on the banks (with red eyes glowing!) as well as crabs swimming about. The highlight of the experience was the dolphins!! A few of them swam right along our kayak, bobbing in and out of the water!! One dolphin jump right in front of our friends kayak. (A little nerve wracking for just a moment, but what an adrenaline rush!) Definitely an amazing adventure that everyone should consider. Can't find a review link for the Merritt's Mill tour in Marianna, FL so I'm just gonna write it here. Elijah was an EXCELLENT tour guide. He was kind enough to accommodate us by moving our tour one day earlier than we initially scheduled for. We chose the glow tour at nighttime and what an incredible night it was. Two hours, clear kayaks, colorful lights, full moon, gliding over natural springs with an insanely knowledgeable tour guide. He was not only informative of the ecosystem and wildlife, but he was able to tell us everything we needed to know about the small town of Marianna itself. This guy had all the tips and tricks, I swear. He made this an incredibly chill and interesting experience for us. We saw so many cool spring sites and even had bats flying over our heads... it was crazy! You can tell he loves his job. Thank you, Elijah, for giving us the most enticing kayaking excursion we have ever been on. We will definitely be back, and you helped us make our overall stay in Marianna far more spectacular than we'd hoped for. read more

Michelle and Alexandria were our guides last night. We were a group of 2 couples good friends. Michelle and Alexandria were very professional and friendly in addition to being informative of area and creatures and the science of bioluminescence and the weather. We had dolphins frolicking between our boats feeding on smaller fish and mullet schools flying about in droves under and in some cases over the boats. Magical :-) It was a very serene yet exciting paddle which ended as we pulled to shore with a night rocket launch .. couldn't have been a better end to a fantastic paddle with great gals as guides. My fiancée booked this tour for us for our anniversary and we were really excited to go! We did everything right as far as booking and signing the waiver. The morning of the tour she received a text message stating that the bridge was closed and they gave us an alternative route to get there, which would have been fine IF the directions were actually good detailed directions , WHICH THEY WERE NOT! We got SO LOST trying to find the place. What should have been a 45 min ride for us turned into a 2 hour experience in which i was so frustrated that we didn't even make it to the tour! If you are going to reroute people you need to provide them with better directions with land marks and not just " take US 1 and turn right on Kennedy pkwy". $150 wasted because of horrible directions!!! read more

We had a really cool experience for the bio luminescent kayak tour with Get Up & Go Kayaking m. It was a new moon,so perfect to be able to see the full effects of the bio luminescence in the water. We had about eight dolphins playing around us at one point. There were a lot of fish chasing each other- seeing their blue streaks in the water. Liz and Scott were our guides, and they were extremely informative and fun. There were some other kayaking groups out there, but they had like 20 people in their groups which I thought was too many to really enjoy the experience. Our group was 10 people with 2 per kayak. It was perfect so we weren't crashing into each other and we could hear our guides teaching us about the area, what we were experiencing, and pointing out the wildlife. We were prepared for tons of mosquitoes but we had a very light, steady rain which kept them away. That's one outdoor experience where you're happy to have it rain. Got a bioluminescent tour for my husband for our anniversary. The website was great with tips to see the best glow. They even have a moon tracker to make sure you don't get a trip when the moon is too bright. Good communication leading up to day of and then I even got a text confirming I was going to the correct place because there's no physical address. When we arrived, we went to the wrong place because they were the only company launching from where they were and their trailer had no markings. This wasn't a huge deal because everyone was super helpful and they were only a short way down the road. The actual tour was so great, I have no words. The guides were so nice, helpful, but mostly knowledgeable. I learned things I never expected. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience... until we go again because this is something we could make an annual thing. If you are on the fence, just do it. You won't regret it! read more

My husband and I went on the bioluminescence tour tonight with Liz and Scott. We were the only two for this particular tour and it was AMAZING!!! We got to see dolphins and manatee, all kinds of fish and birds, even a couple of shrimp jumped into Scott's kayak! The water was so cool. Watching the bioluminescence run under the boat was like watching stars shoot through the sky. Scott and Liz were the BEST tour guides! If you are in the area, definitely do this tour! read more
