The center has a nice parking lot and is located on the first floor closest to the side facing Stelton Road. The waiting room is usually empty or has one other person waiting for another staff member -- there are no long waits like at other doctor's offices. They really mean it when they say they reserve your appointment time just for you. I never have problems getting appointments either. If you're nervous or shy about your condition, you will find the peacefulness of the spa and professionalism of the staff very comforting. Before your first procedure, Dr. Chandra will spend time going over what needs to be done and answering questions. The hair removal does hurt, but it's over before you know it. How your body reacts to the procedure is different for everyone, but I usually had some swelling. (I have brown skin and black hair.) ***So a tip: run errands before the day of your appointment. That way you wont run out of food or other home supplies while you take a few days to heal. The first procedure reduced my hair growth probably 75%, so I had the most swelling after that first session (the swelling lasted 7 to 10 days). On subsequent appointments (every four weeks), my swelling usually lasted only a few days since there was less hair getting zapped. By my fourth session, I would say 90% of the hair was gone. My skin is smooth and the color now looks even. I am so happy with the results so far, and I have a few more sessions to go.

During one of my sessions, I was severely burned in a specific area, which was very painful. The injury made me lose trust in the amount of safety I had during treatments. I am unsure still why it occurred because I was told that the puss open wound, was due to a hair that was ingrown and became infected... which I quickly learned was not what was going on. In addition, I felt uncomfortable with the staffing of technicians situation. While many other females worked there, there was only one laser technician available, and he was male. He performs Brazilian laser hair removal on female clients, but when I checked the website after a few treatments and curiosity, did not offer the same service to male clients, which in hindsight sight felt unprofessional and inappropriate to me being that if a female wants a Brazilian, she has no choice but to have a male technician. An hour before my appointments, I applied numbing cream on my bikini line and my entire Brazilian area with plastic wrap over the areas. At the beginning of my appointment, he wiped my numbing cream off from my Brazilian area very invasively without even asking if I was okay with that or giving me the option if I could wipe it myself before the lasering. The reason could be so he removes all of the product off completely before lasering, but with ONLY a male tech available and as a female patient who is basically blindfolded being touched in that vulnerable way, I should have 100% been given more options for my comfort. I was asked to remove my bra while wearing a medical gown that opens in the front. The laser treatment was only for my underarms, and the area was fully accessible through the sides/sleeves of the gown. There was no medical reason for me to remove my bra. As a result, my chest was exposed, which made me feel very uncomfortable and vulnerable. This situation felt completely unnecessary, and it could have been easily avoided. Between the physical injury and the discomfort surrounding the treatment environment, I chose not to return again. I would strongly encourage others considering this spa to think about your comfortability levels when getting vulnerable areas lasered by a male technician, to ask detailed questions about safety protocols, and how client comfort is prioritized before making an appointment.

I originally made an appointment at Allure for a hydrafacial, and when Dr. Kogan noticed my vessels, she asked if I wanted to do some treatments to take care of them. She discussed options with me and we came up with a basic plan of action, which would be two laser treatments and the hydrafacial I originally came for. After the first laser treatment, the vessels on my face were all but gone completely! I just had a slight one on my chin. After the second treatment, that one disappeared along with some other brown and purplish marks. I'm thrilled at the results and will be returning to Allure and Dr. Kogan to take care of all my skin needs!

Upon arrival at 9:30 a.m., two staff members escorted us to begin the massage services. Shortly after the massage began, the therapists offered several "enhancements," including lavender oil, lemon oil, and hot stones, priced at $30, "discounted" to $20. In my experience, massage oil has always been included as part of the service, so I found it unusual and disruptive to be upsold during a relaxation treatment. During the facial portion, the esthetician asked when I last received a facial. After I responded, she immediately recommended a "derma facial" due to dryness, priced at $100, discounted to $50. She then pointed out dark spots and suggested laser treatment at $20 per spot, which I declined. The continuous upselling made the experience feel more like a sales pitch than a spa visit. At checkout, I was surprised to learn that I owed an additional $96, on top of the $180 already paid. I was also not informed that a third staff member would be performing part of the facial service. When it came time to tip, I provided $20 each for the 3 therapists ($60 total). I was then told that the staff member who worked on my daughter should receive an additional tip, so I added $15 more. While I do not mind paying for services, I strongly believe that all pricing, add‑ons, and staffing details should be clearly explained before the service begins. Transparency is essential, especially in a spa environment where clients expect relaxation rather than unexpected charges or persistent upselling.

I got a gift card for Mother's Day, and instead of regular facial, I wanted to go with Hydrafacial instead. The website quoted $175 online, but when I was done, I was told that the prices have increased, and they charged me $200 instead of honoring the price they had online. Mind you not, I still tipped 20% on the service. Finally, they did not have a relaxing experience. The room is right behind their store (Shiseido). The tech kept the figure white light on the entire team, used her iPad to play calming music, and I felt like I was in a football stadium the whole time. She didn't even cover my eyes, and had the light beaming on my face the entire time. The treatment was painful, and that's something that wasn't conveyed before either. Overall I loved Olivia because of the massage she gave me in the end. But overall; the salon did not follow through with what they promised on their website. The treatments and services advertised were vastly different in quality from what was delivered. I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for a reliable and hygienic facial experience. I had Frozen Shoulder of my right arm 8 years ago and it took at least 8 weeks of physical therapy and manipulation techniques to get better. Fearing I had Frozen Shoulder again I went to my Orthopedist who confirmed this and gave me 2 shots of cortisone which relieved some of my pain for about 6 hrs and said I had to start physical therapy for it etc. My boyfriend who has been going to Liping on and off for over a decade (gets injuries from his line of work) went on and on how I should see her and try acupuncture because she has done amazing things for him and others and told me all kinds of stories. (He had been to other acupuncturists through the years but said Liping by far was the best. I figured I had nothing to lose and due to a cancellation was seen the next day. Liping said I didn't need cortisone shots and physical therapy. She herself had frozen shoulder she said before and could easily fix my shoulder. As a sceptic I had a we will see attitude but had my session with electro acupuncture and regular acupuncture. I did feel better when I left and kept feeling better throughout the day. The very next day I woke up with no pain and could actually move my arm like almost nothing ever happened! This was truly a miracle to me! I actually decided to go to my gym that morning and take my classes which include weight training, yoga etc! Although I did take it easy that first day I didn't want to jinx or hurt anything. But literally I was good as new...pain free and continuing taking my classes and working out by the second day as normal! Never went back to the orthopedist or physical therapy but did continue with Liping and have never been happier.
