I don't know what's going on with inventory here, but it felt more like a store after a panic buy than a functioning retail location. I went to pick it up on Wednesday, only to be told it wasn't ready yet. When I explained that I had already called it in on Sunday, the employee initially said she didn't see anything in the system and told me to come back the next day. After I reminded her again that I had called in, she suddenly "found" it and told me to come back in 2 hours and that I would receive a text message when it was ready. I never received the text message they promised. I returned on Friday, and once again they couldn't locate my prescription. After more searching, they finally found it -- but they also tried to give me someone else's order at the same time. I had to explain that I only had one prescription and asked them to verify it using my phone number, not just my last name. The entire experience was very unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating. On top of that, the drive-thru wait was over 20 minutes. For something as important as prescriptions, accuracy and communication should be a priority. This pharmacy seriously needs to improve its customer service and organization.

Located in the Washington Plaza, parking was challenging but was able to find parking on the north side of the plaza. Checked in at the Pharmacy vaccine window and was directed to wait at the vax area. The pharmacist came out and verified my ID and was given the shot and was on my way with a $10 off $20 coupon. I quickly got another employee I recognized and told him what happened. he apologized and quickly showed me exactly what I needed. I asked the employee to tell the manager this new employee needs more training, he responded that the man who said they didn't have braces was the NEW manager of the store. I was shocked. second- they are hiring all new people and I barely see any of the workers I know anymore, bummer! the original staff were so nice I prefer to engage with them not these new kids! third, I wanted to buy champagne for my daughters graduation, the employee helping me after I waited forever in line told me she couldn't carry or sell alcohol! why are you hiring minors? fourth, nighttime used to have 3-4 employees every night, now there are only two! the lines are so long often there is one employee I recognize running two registers at the same time! if you can't staff your store properly, you shouldn't be a manager, OR you should work alongside your employees like the previous manager woman did. fifth. there are always people outside begging for money, there are never carts anymore but I see unhoused people with cvs carts all over Castro Valley now. sixth.
