I was terribly ill when I visited this afternoon. I had had the stomach flu for five days with no relief. The nurses and the doctor were incredible. My pain caused me to be a bit unfair and not listening well. But I WAS trying to be polite, even though I was in terrible distress. Everyone was incredibly helpful and the weight wasn't very long. What the doctor prescribed and I picked up at CVS literally saved my life today. We had been visiting from out of town and were two days late departing due to my issue. I was just there for a Covid test & while the people were very nice the room was nasty. There was paper on the chair & floor. I had them to clean the room before we start my test. Then the nurse asked another employee where was the cleaning stuff & she said WE ARE ALL OUT.... So you mean to tell me that you aren't cleaning the rooms after each patient. This is exactly how Covid spread. The nurse was able to find some Lysol spray and she sprayed and wipe the room down. I'm only writing this because I think this center needs some help, they need someone to clean the rooms after people & cleaning s, so if you can help-please do... I understand they are doing their best & trying to make as much money as possible in the process. read more

I worked in medical facilities for 4 decades and know when there are major problems. Stay away from this place unless absolutely necessary. Totally unorganized, no printed labels on specimens, no explanations of process of completing care, and nobody to take responsibility for the incompetency. Very scary situation. read more

I came in for a rapid Covid test because I wanted to see my family for Thanksgiving. I come in and the front desk person is telling everyone that the wait is an hour and a half just to check in. Wow that's a long time but okay fine. I took wait, I do the online paperwork they fell and there are 39 people in front of me. It takes over 2 hours before I finally get the phone call and the lady tells me that the wait was only for people with insurance. I wasn't paying with insurance so all this time I could've just walked in an gotten a test instead of waiting 2 hours. I'm livid. It's a waste of my time and quite honestly very unprofessional. You need to let people know this. I've read the other reviews and none of it surprised me. After the front desk person told us it was going to be an hour and a half they just went on about how they're short staffed. I get being short staffed 100% but it's just not a valid enough excuse to me to be this unorganized. read more

UNORGANIZED!!!!!!! Long wait times. Staff seems lost. I overheard the doctor check the staff a few times. Doctor took in friends as priority. I was there for a COVID test, something that takes less then a minute to do. Well I was in there for over an hour. As I sat in the examine room I over heard the staff talking about random things. When the nurse finally entered my room she was interrupted by another staff member telling her I wasn't next. Smh , they had NO labels. I really don't know if my specimen will actually be my results. The dr opened a door to ask a patient his name. She forgot and she was holding his blood test tubes I could go on and on about my experience. It was HORRIBLE. They lead me to believe I could get a cd of my x-rays, however when my husband went to pick it up all of a sudden their cd machine has been broke for months! They refused to give him my x-rays to take to the specialist tomorrow. They hung the phone up on me while I was talking. Do not go to this place for anything! read more

I have been to this facility on two separate occasions. I was extremely pleased by the attentiveness, courtesy and professionalism of the staff, and the state of the art equipment. Their service was efficient and friendly. I am fortunate to have a walk in clinic so close to home. My injury was examined, x-rayed, and bandaged. Appropriate medications were prescribed that I picked up at the pharmacy next door. This all occurred in under two hours. This is not an established medical office business, with set appointment times. . It is on a WALK-IN basis... Therefore, wait times must vary according to availability. If one does not wish to wait accordingly, then I suggest a hospital emergency room, and take your chances. I look at the negative reviews and they are unnecessarily caustic. This is a convenience, folks. Make an app't with your own physician and wait- or value the fact that we have this service in Oak Park, where it is indeed needed. read more

I went here on Saturday for Covid-19 testing, based on a government site that said this site has free testing. #1 they do NOT have free testing. Maybe if you pay through insurance, but if you don't it's $75 for the PCR test and I think $125 for the rapid. When I got there people were milling about outside a back door, and lots of people were in their cars. The deal is if you want to pay through insurance, you need to go into the urgent care (inside the building, into a waiting room with other people, even if you have symptoms), fill out a form, then wait in your car, and I think they said you have to see a doctor. Last time I saw a doctor at urgent care it was $250 and I did not want to be inside that crowded room. So I went around the back to pay cash. I *thought* they had one person at a time inside, but no. The tiny room has a couple of stations cordoned off with hospital curtains. I sat down, they told me the deal, then right after that 2 people came in together, then 3 more, and they put them in other sections of the curtain, WELL within 6 feet (and closer than I've been to strangers in months since I have quite a few risk factors. The tester then handed me a pen and clipboard I really don't think was sanitized, (nor I doubt, was the desk I was told to sit at where someone had been moments before). Took everyone's cards and cash all in one big stack. People were coughing around me. I was really starting to wonder if I should walk. She did not wash her hands at all or sanitize during this but did put gloves on before testing me (and then touched too many things). She was pleasant enough, and the test itself was okay though made me want to sneeze. Seriously the protocol here was bad. For a place where people that HAVE COVID ARE GOING TO BE TESTED, they aren't even trying to sanitize..at least that I saw. I felt bad for the one women that seemed to be working there, and wonder how in the world she doesn't get sick herself. I hope I did not get covid from the covid test facility. I only knew they emailed results because someone behind me asked, and I asked her about it as there was NOT SPOT FOR EMAIL on that form. So she had me add it. Well they said 24 to 48 hours, it's been past 48, I have heard nothing. I was supposed to get an auto email from the portal, nothing. I call this place, no answer. I call the lab, it's always busy. I'm kind of thinking they've run off with my money and have no idea what to do or how to get it back. I've got a number of things contingent on this test as do so many. So frustrating. read more

This place is a scam! They are making $$ & taking advantage of people. Donna, should be fired & definitely go through some sort of customer service training. She does not know how to speak to people & is clearly still employed because of desperation for workers. Do not go here for Covid testing. They scam people, take $125 & then also bill insurance claiming people "didn't want to wait" and "waived insurance" . My kids were not given an option to see doctor. UNPROFESSIONAL, NO SOCIAL DISTANCING, CROWDS IN PARKING LOT FOR COVID TESTING. I went there for a rapid COVID 19 test and was very shocked at the lack of structure and organization and complete disregard for COVID safety guidelines. FIrst of all there was no social distancing at all and no limit to the amount of people in certain areas. People waiting in crowds to get test results and not wearing masks. If I didn't have COVID before I went there, I could have COVID now. Staff not telling people to socially distance or enforcing mask rules, not cleaning patient seats in between testing. BUT very organized in taking your credit card information and payments. My friend got test done same day and has been over 2 weeks and still NO RESULTS but charged him $75 with his insurance. I always come to this Urgent Care in particular. I have been coming here for years. Dr. Hamie is the greatest. I love her caring spirit. She always gets me straight; she is prompt and makes sure that the staff is as well. Everyone is super friendly and you can tell that they all love their job and know what wellness and palliative care is. They definitely follow the scale of prioritizing treatment. If i could give this place a negative five star i would Not only were they disrespectful and unprofessional but i went in with an infection and they ended up misdiagnosing me telling me i ddint have one when sooner than later i found out i did So I went in there on the December 22 2017 It was night, probably around seven- six oclock pm As soon as I went in, I did not get that welcome I got the "ugghhh what is she doin here" The desk directly in front held a young black girl who did not say nothing to me. She just stared at me like "what's up why u here"... I had to ask "umm hi... is this where I check in...." She Just pointed to the next desk.... The lady in the next desk undeniably heaved a HUGE sigh... and said "have u been here before" "sign in" Did not ask why I was here or anything and I've been here twice before and got wonderful service so all this this one night was new to me. I went back got my vitals taken unproffessionally and was told to go to my room. The girl almost forgot to tell me to leave a urine sample The doctor came and and he honestly had a nice attitude but it was obvious that he thought I was in there for some b.s. Do not go here at all! They are scamming people out of their money with COVID testing. I work for a hospital system and manage testing out of state and I have never seen a testing site so dysfunctional. The staff members are not wearing any proper PPE, the testing samples are not properly separated, the staff are unprofessional and there is a scam with the pharmacy next door to take your money. They are not properly running insurance cards, there are numerous HIPAA violations and this place needs to be shut down. There needs to be an inspection from the health department and I will continue filling claims with the appropriate authorities until this business is evaluated and closed down. Please Do not go here, they will trick you out of your money, lie to your insurance company, improperly code so that they receive higher reimbursement. Negative Stars. I went to them with a serious patient concern that I needed an urgent referral for because my primary care physician could not get me scheduled for over a month. The front desk personnel told me a referral could be given if found necessary by the physician. When I arrived, Tara at the front desk did not ask why I had come in and took over an hour to bring me to the initial room. Immediately upon entering the room, I told the tech I needed a referral for an urgent service and she said we cannot provide referrals for that particular service. I told her immediately that I was given incorrect info over the phone then, and politely said that I would like a refund. She told me she wanted to take my blood pressure. I refused the blood pressure check and any services, saying that I didn't want any service to be administered until she checked if a referral was possible because otherwise I would want a refund. She told me that a refund would be given if the doctor couldn't provide the service I asked for. She moved me to a different room and asked me to put on a gown and started to leave, but I again told her that I did not want to put on the gown or receive any service until she had confirmed with the physician whether or not I could receive a referral and reiterated that it was the only reason I came into the clinic. She left and the nurse practitioner, Joyce Simmons came in about 10-15min later. I immediately asked if she could provide a referral for the intended service because if not, there was no point in me being seen at the clinic and I wanted a refund. She explained that they could not provide a referral for this service. I thanked her for letting me know and asked that they process a refund since no services could be administered. She told me she would check on office policy and I asked why she had to check since no services had been administered. She left the room and spoke with the techs and they supposedly spoke to the office manager on the phone before relaying to me that they would not provide a refund. I discussed the issue with them at length and they refused to let me speak to the office manager or to tell me why I could not speak with her. They were very disrespectful and Tara threatened me when I stated that they were not telling the office manager the truth, telling me to "Watch it." They proceeded to call the police department and report further lies about the situation, insinuating that I was agitated and threatening, which was never the case. I simply asked for a refund since no service was provided. After the police created a report on the matter, I left the premise. Needless to say, an urgent medical condition with no where else to turn for a referral is already scary and stressful enough. I have lived in many different states and cities, and this was the WORST service I have ever received from any Urgent Care or patient clinic. These people are incredibly heartless and try to trick you into paying the fee when they are completely aware that they cannot offer certain services. They knew that I did not receive any services and continued to lie to their office manager so that she could not process a refund. They were disrespectful and careless even prior to the disagreement, and I would never trust their clinic to provide any care to any of my family or friends. I rarely ever leave reviews, but it is my hope that this honest review will help other patients not to be conned into paying for services that were never provided and not to get stuck dealing with ruthless people who have no care for their patients' well-being. Aside from my personal situation, it should be noted that the clinic took an inordinate amount of time to see patients (even when I was the only person there for the first hour), the staff was very cold and careless (even talking on a personal call while I was at the front desk checking in), and the nurse practitioner did not seem very knowledgeable about policy or other health-related concerns. read more
