A nice GetGo location in Murrysville along the main drag through town. I stopped in for gas...and thanks to our current administration the price was pretty crazy high. $4.39 for the MyPerks price, otherwise it would have been $4.69. That's just crazy, but to Get Go's credit cheaper than other local stations, so thank you for that! But...the store itself is fine. Clean inside and out, and staffed with nice folks. read more

Get Go is a gas-station and convenience-store chain that is owned by Giant Eagle grocery store. GetGo has hundreds of locations across several states. This particular location is in Murrysville, and it is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. My husband and I shopped in the convenience store to purchase foods and beverages for a picnic. We chose a fruit salad, potato chips, and two beverages from the store, and we ordered two submarine sandwiches from the made-to-order counter. The cashier immediately rang up our purchase, and she told us to have a good day. Several minutes later, an employee correctly made our foods, and he sincerely thanked us. My husband and I did not use the gas pumps or the restrooms, so I cannot comment on them. I do know that if you are a member of Giant Eagle's rewards program, then you can use your rewards to receive discounts on gas here. Typical gas/food stop. Newly opened so everything is fresh and new looking. Great selection of beverages, made-to-order food. I nominate their fish sandwich to be better than most others. Check-out area is cramped, and awkward, since foot traffic in-and- out of the store creates a bottleneck effect. Watch for various food and drink promotions. read more

I had seen their sandwiches on billboards and wanted to try them. I admit I was skeptical. The photos always look better than the real thing. A coworker said he enjoyed a meal there. I selected the Bluegrass Bourbon BBQ sandwich, waffle fries, and frozen strawberry lemonade. I was honestly dissatisfied with the wait time, as there was only one employee in the kitchen. However, the sandwich was delicious! Good presentation, onion rings on top & brioche bun looked great. This was way above normal convenience store & even some fast food restaurant fare. The waffle fries and frozen strawberry lemonade were also good. I liked that there were seats & tables to dine in. I made some purchases in the store. I am partially disabled, and two employees offered to help me, even offering to carry my basket as I made selections. I would have preferred plastic bags to paper(easier to manage), but give the store high marks. read more

Basically your newest of new Getgo out there. I drive this route to work every single day and saw this thing being built from the ground up. I mean the spot that this now sits on kind of was nothing more than weeds for the longest time. With the addition of this GetGo I suppose you could call this a fuel corridor now. There are plenty of gas stations along the route and this just adds another variant. GetGo was a bit obvious with placement too. Behind it is the Giant Eagle store, and then not even a half block away is a Sheetz, which I consider to be their main competition in the Pennsylvania region. With that being said, it is easiest entering this location if you are travelling west since this sits on a divided road. The pumps are located on the eastern portion of this station and there are plenty of pumps to serve your purpose. The lot is one of the better lots to access for a gas station with multiple access point along 22, Old William Penn, and the auto parts store right next door. Time it just right and you can get out on 22 with no problem. Inside it is of the glitzy variety. Since I was on my way to work that day I decided to get food to take with me. I went to their made to order area and tapped away on the screen. I opted for a few things that I thought would travel well and hold up until lunch time hit. I'll talk about the food later on in this review. As far as the rest of the store layout, it is pretty great and flows really well. It feels open and allows for you to find the item you might need and make your way to the front to pay. With all the GetGo spots out there, a majority of them now have the capability to sell alcohol and to say that they have variety in that area is a bit of an understatement. They have just about every variety you can think of. After paying, I had to wait for my food to finish. The one thing I am not happy about GetGo with is that they always lag in the food prep area. Like a lot. Instead of having enough people work in that area, they only ever seem to have two, maybe three people at most working this area. Even with ordering, browsing and waiting to pay, you still have about a five to ten minute wait for what is nothing short of fast food. I had ordered one of their tater tot bowls that I had seen advertised, an order of mac n cheese, and some appetizer I could eat on my way into work. The appetizer was what I expected, I believe what I had was the breaded pizza raviolis, basically Tostinos on steroids. They weren't bad in the least, but I wasn't really impressed. The mac n cheese was basically your run of the mill, thrown in the microwave to heat up, and placed in a too shallow bowl variety mac n cheese. I decided to add extra shredded cheese on top, but it really didn't help. Now for the tater tot bowl, man was that ever a let down. They advertise them as GoBowls, they also advertise them a little too deceptive. In the advertisements you are made to think that these are bowls that are made to fill you up. They appear deep and contain loads of food. Maybe if you are a child that might be true, but it's literally a saucer sized dish that might be just a little bit dipper than a ramekin. They describe this as tater tots loaded with diced hamburger, cheese sauce and lettuce. What you get is smashed food and lies. You don't even get a handful of tater tots, the hamburger is not diced instead it is stripped and takes up a good portion of the bowl. Could have done with more cheese sauce and could have done without the lettuce. The separation of items made for eating this a litter harder than it should of been. Instead of being mixed to portray a even distributed meal I had to very carefully mix this thing without losing any of the items in the bowl. Then they added the pickles to the dish, that for me made this a salt bomb. I know what they were going for in creating this dish, but they sorely missed the mark. And let's not talk about the prices of these deceptively advertised items. Save a few and go to their Pennsylvania rival and get your money's worth. read more
