Found this little gem on one of my store visits to Fallon, Nevada. I am in love with hot sandwiches...I always go for the grilled paninis or toasted sandwiches. I am glad I stopped by and ordered this sandwich. I ordered a medium hot pastrami sandwich with American cheese. I asked for extra toasted. Pastrami was warmed up to perfection. The smoked cheddar hit the spot. Completely melted and paired well with the other toppings. I dined in. Super quiet chill place. I will definitely come back. Great food! Definitely recommend going here, way better than subway! Freshly slice the meats of your choice right in front of you. I recommend getting your sub toasted and adding vinegar & oil/salt & pepper, it makes all the difference. This place does not disappoint. It's a small, chain like, sub style ordering. But when you return to your seat to eat, the mediocre chain style place leaves and a homemade sub sandwich with amazing flavors, bread, meat and veggies makes you want to order more! Best sub in fallon by far.. fresh sliced meats and cheeses, crisp veggies, and fresh baked bread you smell as soon as you walk in the doors. Store clerks are courteous and fast at taking your order and making your sandwich properly. This place was good, clean and provided fast service. I had two separate subs in a the same week and they were both great. I've been to a few sub shops that offer signatures/speciality subs that are hard to replicate at home. Getto isn't necessarily that type of sub shop , but it is still well worth a visit. read more

We were on our way back to Sparks from a business trip and we were looking for a hometown sandwich shop. We found Getto Subs in Fallon. The service was great. Our sandwiches were awesome. We stop over in Fallon as our half-way point driving from CA to Idaho, or from Idaho to CA. Ghetto Subs is by far the best place to grab a bite to eat, especially after a long drive and you just want to go rest back at the motel and chill- or maybe you just want to grab a bite and keep on driving. When I called Ghettos to alert them that my friend was literally bleeding from the pepperoncini stem, they said, " we can't control or be responsible for what is in our vegetables" I have recommended Ghettos to countless friends, but I no longer can be a patron or supportive of a business who straight out admitted that food quality and safety isn't a concern. I have a Rant and a Rave. I'll start with the Rave. Getto Subs creates a wonderful atmosphere for picking up a quick lunch. The 3 people I encountered were very pleasant and attentive. The food is fresh and abundant and the menu is easy to understand and features a lot of variety. Now the RANT.....their sandwiches are way too good! I bought a medium (it's humongous!) thinking I'd have enough for maybe 3 lunches. Well, they cut it in half and when I got home I divided one of those pieces in half again. It tasted so good that I ate both quarters without even thinking about it. Now my belly is stuffed to near uncomfortable and I'm almost feeling guilty about overeating. They're alright. When I'm in the mood for a sub it's here or Subway. My main gripe is that Getto skimps on the meat sometimes. It varies from each person. None of my subs have been bad. Just really heavy on the bread side sometimes. read more

I went in here with high expectations, since I was craving Port of Subs... and I came out very satisfied. I don't think they reinvented the sandwich, but the ingredients were all fresh, the service was quick and friendly and the sandwich tasted great. We stopped by Getto subs while we were driving through Fallon. I was hesitant to go because soooometimes sandwich shops can be sketch. BUT! We went in and were pleasantly surprised by how yummy these sandwiches were! The bread was the best part! It was light and fluffy, and the salami was really good as well! They even have the mayo/mustard mix that I love from port of subs! Customer service was great! The lady making the sandwiches was really nice. My dog even appreciated the ladies who were working, because they filled up my his water bowl! read more

Oh my goodness!! They took the basic idea of a sub place and elevated it to the next level. Bread made fresh everyday. (Pro tip: jalapeño cheese bread on Wednesday's!!) They redecorated with lovely pictures of local farm life. I absolutely adore the cow pictures. The subs are absolutely amazing and the customer service is great. Love this place! I had great sandwiches every time I went to Getto Subs, but the last time I went the staff was different. The two young men working there had great customer service, but their sandwich making skills were mediocre. The sandwiches we ordered were not as good as the last few times we visited the establishment. Good subs, but it depends on who is on staff that day. read more
