This place used to be a favorite when I would visit Fallon but the last couple of times we ate here the food tasted off. The meat was grizzly and chewy, the sauce was bland, and the rice was undercooked. Family still swears by it but it will be awhile before I try it again. read more

Julio's is much better than La Fiesta. Definitely. Julio's menu is much more authentic and very close to the dinners I have eaten at my grandmothers growing up and also the Mexican Food Restaurants we dined at as a family. La Fiesta just doesn't seem to have that familiar taste. It could be the spices or lack of them, but it just seems bland to me. P.S. If you think Mexican Food is only Salsa and Chips, well you just shop for those items at some local retailer. LOL read more

My wife and I both ordered the super burrito without meat. Hers without rice, sour cream or cheese. Mine without sour cream or cheese because we are vegan. My wife was served a small burrito w/o rice. Very dissatisfied with the meal. Will not eat there ever again. read more

Ordered to go and found the food cold upon simply walking to my car. The combo plate taco was set in the sauce so when I picked it up all the ingredients fell through the shell leaving me with two halves of the shell in my hand. We were on our way to El Azteca (yum!), but decided to try something new and had seen Julio's a few times. Being a Mexican and Italian place, we expected it to smell like one or the other or both. It didn't smell like anything, which should have been clue number 1. We started off with chips and salsa, but the chips were hard and stale and the salsa seemed to come from a jar. Very mild, with little flavor. We ordered cheese enchiladas and flautas. The flautas were pretty decent (hard to screw up meat fried in a tortilla), but the enchiladas were terrible. They used cheese with an odd flavor, the enchilada sauce was like it was right out of a can (what little there was) and the beans were just a tasteless brown liquid soup. The rice was OK, had good flavor and was nice and fluffy, but that was the best thing to eat on the plate. We won't be back. I've had better microwaved dinners than what we ate there. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. Too bad the food was so awful. read more

First time here and I have to say my husband and I were very impressed. The food (Mexican stew & shredded beef plate) was delicious. We also tried their horchata and it is the best I've ever tasted. There's nothing bad about this restaurant. The family who owns this are very nice people who always greet us with love like we're part of the family. The food is amazing! I go for the Mexican good and the kids love the Italian food. It's a cute little restaurant and they offer pick up as well! Went to Julio's because we had a coupon from the Entertainment Book. We put the coupon on the table in plain sight before we even ordered. Server was not courteous, she did not smile once. Prices seemed a little high and menu descriptions were somewhat unclear. Food tasted decent but not outstanding. Upon paying, we were told they would not accept the coupon for their establishment which we received in our new Entertainment Book less than one month ago. The coupon was only worth $5. Well, I went to eat somewhere else but ended up here. Small, nice and the staff was courteous. I ordered the Super Carne Asada Burrito. It was filled with Carne Asada, Pico de Gayo, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Cheese, Beans and Rice served with Beans and Rice on the side. The beans were good although no melted cheese on top. The rice I actually liked. It was fluffy and tasty. The burrito, although good, was just that. This was not great, but all in all worth the $9 for that combo. With a drink I spent $11.03, left full and had half a burrito left. read more

The italian portion of the menu is half of one page. It's kind of weird because I don't think Mexican and Italian food should even be spoken of in the same sentence. I got a pork enchilada and chicken tamale. The waitress was kind of stand offish and couldn't tell me what was popular there. The sprite tasted weird too. The food was just meh. Initial impression was the 'Chips and Salsa'. The Chips were stale, so not a good start. I got the Chicken Enchiladas and my wife got the Taco Salad. Mine wasn't too bad, not the best, but not bad. My wife said the taco salad wasn't good. We'll go to La Fiesta next time. read more
