I was told my brakes and tires needed replacing, and as I commute long distances I wanted to make sure my vehicle was well equipped to handle winter conditions on the LIE. After my inspection was finished, I was quoted $1,079 for the brake replacement, new tires and the inspection, but when I went to pick up my car, I was charged in two installments (as the repairs took place on separate days) and the total was nearly $1,400--almost $320 more than what I was told the total would come out to be. To make matters worse, they removed my front license plate covers and replaced them with their own advertising covers without asking for my permission. Not only was I upset by the unauthorized advertising on my vehicle, but they also put my front license plate on upside down. (See attached photo for proof.) The final straw was hearing my brakes grinding after they had supposedly replaced them. This was incredibly disappointing and left me feeling taken advantage of. I had hoped to find a trustworthy auto shop for future service needs close to work, but instead, I feel like this place took advantage of my situation as a young woman needing an inspection. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend you get a second opinion before trusting this business with your vehicle.

Hate to say it but I have to remove a few stars for this place. While I don't think they were…read moremalicious and while I feel as though the work they did (replace control arms, ball joints and a tie rod) wasn't necessarily bad, when you go into a shop with a specific issue you want fixed - it was a random shudder in the steering and body - and they charge you almost $1,500 for work that didn't fix the original problem, that could be labeled as bunk. I had to go to another guy down the street to get the issue truly addressed and fixed: both front half-shafts had to be replaced, the joints were worn and loose. Anyway, I was lighter about $4,000 when all was said and done, it just sucks not knowing if I threw away the initial $1,500 on shoddy, unnecessary work.
