I live in Houston, TX. The order was "archived" so that I would not see it, but I received a shipping notification regarding the items. I called and spoke with Joe who denied illegally gaining access to my account and stealing from me, but it is a bit coincidental that 2 battery amp chargers were "accidentally" purchased to be delivered to an auto repair shop. Love these guys. You can go to other places maybe save a few bucks but long term these guys save you money because they just do it right. I have a 1988 Jeep Wagoneer and they just simply crushed it in terms of service and quality of work. I had some other problems creep out of nowhere and Joe's team were super awesome about being straight up and did the work that was necessary and not making stuff up like so many other mechanics do. They don't cut corners and are about doing what's best for the customer. They look out for you and your vehicle and do what is best and right. I get a lot of anxiety when dealing with car mechanics because there are so many hustlers but when you look at how he operates and look at his facilities and see how long he has been in business and the warranty on their work, trust builds quickly. Joe's Garage is by far the best in the Hamptons! I'm sitting in the waiting room now which is large with coffee, snacks and other beverages while they fix a leak in my brake fluid line. I can't say enough good things about Joe and his garage. I've brought my car in for different reasons over the past couple of years, and I always walk out with a smile on my face. I was visiting the Southampton area when a battery charging light went on in my Acura RDX. Because my wife was slated to go to JFK airport in the morning I drove to Joe's to have them analyze the problem. I found his shop after doing a quick check online. A courteous and friendly front desk woman arranged to have the car checked out in under 30 minutes despite having many cars to be worked on. I was offered coffee and water while I waited. The owner was also there and gave me the results assuring me that the battery and alternator were fine. What a relief! This was one of those situations where being in a strange town and not knowing the area led to some anxiety and uncertainty about potential expensive car repairs. I had an "emergency" on a 79 Corvette late on a Saturday. Joe's Garage was closed but Joe was working late and answered the phone. Over the phone he gave me sound advice and a few options for the repair. I opted to bring me car to Joe's on a Sunday afternoon expecting to drop it off. Joe was there working on another emergency repair. He took the time to look at my car we discussed what was likely needed; alternator belt, a/c belt, fan clutch and realignment of the pulleys. I was able to leave my car. Joe and his Team completed the repairs at a very reasonable price and made sure to use quality replacement parts. All old parts were returned. I am enjoying the rest of the summer with the top down with a classic car thanks to Joe's Garage for high quality repairs at a fair price. I highly recommend Joe's Garage. read more

I agree with the previous post about AC. They put the dye in the system, claimed to have checked it for leaks first, not. Ac worked for a total of 2 days, then NADA. Plus I had an apt. to leave the vehicle, was there first thing to check in and leave it, but they waited on other "walk-in" customers first? Not going back, needless to say. read more

This place is total amateur hour. In the space of 2 weeks I brought in an older european sports car to troubleshoot an issue and my US pick-up truck. They obviously had no clue what to do with the car but Joe was ready to order about $6K worth of unneeded parts from a local high-end dealership...if I wanted to get ripped off I would have GONE to a dealership. The truck was in for a simple charge and check the AC system. I was told "system checked out, no dye leaks showing and it's blowin' cold."- Yeah, for about an hour. Next place I took it to said he hooked the system up to the vacuum (like your supposed to) and found a gaping hole in about three minutes. I think the mechanics are in the back watching how-to videos on youtube and the Hamptonites who rave about this place must have no clue how much they are getting played. read more

I went in to have a check engine light looked at and, aside from what was the best customer service I've ever experienced, what stuck out most was that after fixing the problem they offered to let me drive the sixty miles necessary to turn my check engine light off so it could be inspected. Speaking from experience, some other places would have had one of their employees unnecessarily do this and then bill me for their time. I didn't need to ask to do this or anything they just let me know it needed to be done and it made no sense for anyone but me to do this. Simply put I find this place very easy to trust. read more
