I went to request them in person only to get an attitude from the front desk saying well they apparently were already sent over and they don't know what to tell me. I arrived early for appointment and was taken in a little early which was nice. Very hard to find a gyno that doesn't have a long wait. The nurse and Dr. Sheridan were very nice. She was very personable and asked for a detailed medical history and allowed me to share any concerns and questions I had. She even pointed out how my current medication could possibly me contributing to another medical issue I am experiencing, which my old doctor never made me aware of. All Northwell health cares about is money They threat Doctors as income producers You can no longer call the office. all calls to the office are answered by Northwell health. They make appoints for the DR -1 every half hour Most DRS take more than 30 minutes as they are trying to help the patients It results in longer wait times. I recently had an appointment with a new to me Northwell health DR My appointment was for 1pm At 2pm there was 1 other patient waiting we asked who he was waiting for. The same dr. His appointment was for 12:30. 1/2 hour before mine We saw the DR at 2;30 1 1/2 hour wait. The DRs are pressured by Northwell to keep making appointments with Patients. That is where the money is. DR Finks office called my wife answered and they told her DR fink wants me to come in .I said I am not going I do not need a DR and there is no reason to go. Without me knowing she made an appointment. This is how the office visit went I was recently in the hospital under the care of another DR DR fink got the report they fixed the problem and sent me home. Even over time they never got any better. It always felt like she never genuinely cared and just tried to see me as quickly as she possibly could. She would constantly talk to me in a very conceded, condescending manner, was very cold, and made me feel dumb for expressing my concerns or asking any questions. She would also roll her eyes whenever I experienced pain during my exams... I am now 21 years old and have finally gotten an answer for the issues I had been having (and expressed to her) ever since I was 15/16; I was recently diagnosed with stage 2/3 Endometriosis and had my laprasopic surgery about a month ago. My Endo symptoms severely started around 15 years old, and whenever I would express my concerns regarding them to Dr. Tuchman she would gaslight me, tell me "you're fine it's just your period", "everyone has bad period pain", "there's not much else I can do", "take tylonel", and just didn't seem to care about getting to the bottom of my serve pain at such a young age. I will NEVER forget this one particular appointment where she was judging me and even started to lecture me in front of a nurse in training for having marks on my chest, telling me that "whoever did this to you doesn't love you. this isn't love". Please keep in mind I was 17 years old. It makes me sad to think that I could have been saved of years of pain (and fearing the gynecologist) if a doctor believed me and took my symptoms with as much seriousness as I did. We also always used to have multiple issues with the insurance, waiting extremelyyy long to be seen, and the girls at the front desk were not the friendliest. She honestly just totally ruined going to the gyno for me at such a young age. I was already nervous enough with it being my first time. When I tried going to different doctors I was genuinely so scared- and quickly realized that it should be a comfortable and friendly experience, where no questions are dumb and I can speak up about pain. I have finally found and been with an amazing gynecologist who takes her time with me during my exams (40 mins minimum), makes me feel extremely comfortable, assures me that there's no such thing as "dumb questions", and takes the time to talk with me; she is so sweet and personable and genuinely caring! I wish I could go back in time to 16 year old me and never step foot inside this office and find a doctor who would have taken my pain seriously and just be nice.
