The staff within this gynecology office are very impatient and rude. I have been going here for several years now because of my insurance but they are rude every single time. I also asked for testing and I was told no several times because they felt it was unnecessary. They also mess up my prescriptions every single time as well. It's really so disrespectful how they treat patients. It is truly upsetting and disruptive to any patient's life especially when it is an extremely important form of health care. It is frustrating, exhausting, and upsetting. Even more so when there is an issue every single time. read more

I have been seeing Dr Halpert for many years. He is kind caring and an excellent Dr. I Highly recommend his practice !

I write this review in the hopes of saving other soon-to-be mothers from having the same, terrible experience I did. I had been going to Personal Woman's Care for 7 years for my annual check-ups. Never a complaint, and I adored Dr. Summers. The problems started when I got pregnant. A) At my initial ultrasound, he treated me like a number, not really "confirming" my pregnancy, just throwing out possible due dates. I had to ask "is that the heartbeat I'm seeing on the monitor?" I should have known then. B) I made my appointment for the gender reveal sonogram weeks prior to the call I received, the night before, telling me that the technician was on vacation, and I'd have to wait another two weeks. C) When I did the glucose test, I was first told it was "a little high" and that I'd need to do it again. I go to the office for the second test, drink the stuff, then Dr. Summers freaks out at his staff because they made me drink it before getting a baseline blood test. So, I drank it for nothing. He even threw his clipboard! Now, I had to subject my baby - and myself - to drinking that godawful crap for the third time. D) For some reason, when I was 36 weeks pregnant, Dr. Halpert came in to see me. I had never seen him before - Dr. Summers was always my doctor. Everyone in my family who had been to that practice raved about Dr. Halpert, so I figured, okay, no big deal I guess. Dr. Halpert puts his hand inside, bumps it up against my cervix and tells me, "you feel that? You have a platyploid pelvis. You could go into labor and push for 18 hours, and the baby will never come out. You can try, or schedule a C. It's up to you." What would anyone else be expected to do in that situation? And why was I told this a) when I was 36 weeks pregnant and could have gone into labor already, and b) not even once in the 7 years of seeing Dr. Summers? Dr. Halpert told me if I wanted to schedule a C, we could make it for 12/29 (I was due 1/1). I thought this was perfect, since it gave both the baby and the family a large enough break after Christmas before his birthday. E) I call to schedule the C for 12/29 and make the appointment. I then receive a phone call a short while later, telling me "Dr. Summers wants to bring you in on 12/26." I was like, no way! I'm not going in the day after Christmas. I then proceed to fight with the staff for three separate phone calls, with them telling me that 12/29 is "impossible" and "I don't know why Dr. Halpert gave you that date, we're completely booked." I keep hearing about how Dr. Summers wants to do it on that date, and "you'll feel differently when you have that baby in your arms." Yeah, well, it's not your birthday, lady! We finally compromise on 12/27. At least that gives the baby two days instead of one. F) The day of the delivery, you'd think Dr. Summers was late for a marathon the way he rushed in and rushed out of there. (I had my baby at St. Catherine of Siena because it's Dr. Summers's hospital.) I never saw him again after that. Only Dr. Halpert - the doctor I had only ever seen once before - came to check on me. I only saw Dr. Summers for my follow-up visits, which I swore I would leave the practice once the staples were out - and I did. G) I did not meet my son or even see his face until three hours after he was born because they had to warm him up in the NICU. Then he had jaundice, which they never told us about, never even put him under the lamp, and we suffered with a year's worth of specialist visits because of his liver levels. So the hospital was just as bad as the doctor's office - maybe even worse. All in, my pregnancy and birth were traumatic experiences that will stay with me for the rest of my life, and I hope I can save others from experiencing same with this review. read more

I read some of the negative reviews on here. I am so confused!!! My sister, my best friend and myself are all patients of Dr. Halpert. I've been going to him for over 25 years!!! He's delivered my children, helped treat me with infertility, performed surgery for cysts and endometriosis, and helped get me through menopause! Best Dr I have ever met!!! I would give no stars if possible. The treatment is borderline abuse from this practice. I went there for two years before being told that I was "overreacting" to pain and needed to "relax" to "try some wine". I was also informed they discharged a pregnant patient because they messed up. They did not even remember patient was pregnant on previous visit. Doctors take no time to read the chart. They are rude and refuse to work with you. The doctors cannot even remember your name. They are not professional. Nurses and secretaries laugh at you and make you feel stupid. A terrible environment. Have already contacted for HIPPA issues as well. They do not even know their own office policies. Disgusting. read more

I've been a patient here for a few years and I've had reoccurring UTIs since I was very young. I've explained that there must be something wrong for me to get UTIs every time I get my period and then when I get treated for the UTI I develop a yeast infection from the medicine. I've expressed my frustration with this frequency and I'm always told to just keep drinking cranberry juice when I have done that as well as taking cranberry pills. I feel as if I am not listened to when I visit and express the level of pain I experience. I find the secretary to be very rude and the last time I needed an emergency appointment when I live an hour away she told me to not even bother. There will be nobody in the waiting room and you will still wait an hour minimum. read more

Very nice office. The receptionists are always nice. The doctors are excellent! I come here with my wife. We had our baby delivered with the doctors and had a flawless experience. We get to do it again with a new little one :) Great place! Highly recommended! read more

The entire staff are friendly and accommodating! Dr Halpert is the best. He always puts you at ease the second you see him. He's always smiling, and even though he is very busy you never feel rushed by him. Dr. Summer's is also very nice and professional! Debra who is the nurse practitioner is also amazing. I am actually sad that I have to write this review. But I'm going on the three strikes you're out method. So this review is for the entire medical team at Personal Woman's Care. I have been a patient of personal women's care for the past 18 years Dr. Halpert delivered my last daughter. So will start with Debbie PA about two years ago I developed a very painful Bartholin's cyst. Made the appointment to see Debbie whom I have been a patient of since she started working at personal woman's care. I explained what was going on. As she was reviewing my chart she noticed that I had not had a Pap smear in more than two years rather than addressing the issue that brought me there Even after I told her I did not want to Pap smear done that day because of the pain that I was in she proceeded to try to perform a Pap smear anyway. Needless to say it was excruciating. When I voiced that it was very painful she look to get annoyed and told me there is nothing that she could do for me. I asked for antibiotics because I am a diabetic and I don't want an infection in my system she said that will not help. I was very disappointed and moving forward would never use her again. Two days later still in excruciating pain I made an appointment with Dr. Sommers. I explain to him everything that was going on and asked him if he could Lance it for me. He said he saw swelling but there was nothing that he could Lance I asked him for antibiotics which he gave me. Sat in a sitz bath for several hours that evening and thank God it opened from the warm soaks Which just goes to show he could've lanced it and ended my pain a lot earlier. Fast forward To present. I thought I had a yeast infection a few days ago went to STAT health got my usual Diflucan and took it for several days nothing happened after the two bad experiences with Debbie and Dr. Summers I was going to Find a different gyro but as we all know life gets in the way and you forget to do things like that unless you need them at the moment. So out of desperation I made an appointment to go see Dr. Halpert I explained to him what was going on also expressed that I did not want a Pap at the time because of the discomfort I was in. So he proceeded with his examination he performed a Pap anyway and said that he thought I had a yeast infection gave me a different medication but sent a culture out to the lab to be sure. I started the medication he prescribed which was not covered by my insurance. I called his office because I needed a preapproval in doing so I accidentally found out that my test results came back and my yeast infection test was negative. So the girl at the desk wanted to know if she should call and get the preapproval for my medication that was already prescribed for me. I said if my test came back negative why would I take medication if I don't have that particular bacteria. She seemed a bit confused and said she would get in touch with the Doctor Who was not due back until next Tuesday. later that afternoon received a phone call from Dr. Halpert which I could hardly understand because he was in a cell phone that was all hello Ken up , stating that everything came back negative so don't finish the medication he prescribed just take probiotics and cranberry juice and call him in a week. He never offered to give me anything to relieve my discomfort and never offered a reason as to what was really going on. How can a doctor tell you to stay uncomfortable for a week without trying to give you something to ease your discomfort. Very disappointed. The following day made an appointment with a gynecologist at Northwell health went in he prescribed me a hydra Cortizone cream for the itching and burning and explain to me exactly what was going on I feel better already within a few hours. Perhaps it's time for personal women's care to consider retirement read more
