But today I asked to pull ahead some of the items and as the handler shows it to the auctioneer he told him to put it back on the table because there is a guy coming in later who wants to bid on it. For me this is called favoritism. May be this is not illegal but for sure not ethical in a no reserve auction

The total for the sale is $328.00 He still takes his 75.00 moving costs and a 20% commission off the top. Additionally he removed furniture from the house that he then declared 'too dirty' to sell, but would not put it back in the house. He did put it down at the curb, where I had to pay my garbage carrier to remove it. After the sale he became sullen and rude, actually emailing me that he would be glad to never see me again. Online bidders were led to believe that the online auction was ending 8/20 at 9:30 AM when the truth is that the live on-site auction started at 10AM. Although I "won" the online auction I was later informed that the bidding was just a "Pre-Bid" activity. When I pointed out that their website clearly listed me as the winner, the auction management company refused to honor their commitment. Later I discovered that this company must be no stranger to litigation as they list that all legal claims must be sent to South Carolina.

The auction needed to happen quickly, and they really jumped to make that happen. They came out and organized the items into lots, photographed them, and cataloged them very efficiently and effectively. They also took care of a post auction problem from one of the bidders, by buying two items themselves. All in all, this was a great and hassle free experience.

Having purchased a couple items in the past I thought their service had improved. This time I…read moreparticipated in an option and it wasn't made clear at any point that the auction item was to be picked up at a location other than the usual. The owner of state it was placed on the website Thursday morning of the day the auction closed. However I didn't visit the main page of the auction site just my bid pages, therefore I didn't know. When I called to find out if they were available for me to pick my item up I was informed the address would be on my final invoice. According to the owner even though my initial invoice sent and was received as normal the other one kept bouncing back. Therefore they charged me a fee for transportation of my item. Despite my attempts to explain that not picking up the item at the address of the auction was not my fault, and I had in fact communicated with them and tried to obtain the address; they didn't care. Therefore I will no longer do business with them because something's always a pain in the ass with these guys.
