First big shout out to our guide and raft guide J MONEY (and Tim)! We had a 10/10 experience. Definitely, one of our family's favorite experiences!! We got the wet suits and booties which was only like $7/person total. I'd highly recommend getting it. Kept us warm. We did that Level 3-4. My kids are 16 and 19 and loved every bit and want to do it again. I felt like the level 3-4 was doable though we had some close calls. Out of the 6 raft's no one went over. Theses guides are skilled. The time is exhilarating and serene at the same time. You get to to tip your guide after. We also choose to get a digital photo which the photographer does an incredible job capturing our moments. After you get to enjoy some of the best hot chocolates in town or coffee. This establishment is legit. It's a bit pricey after everything is done but so worth the experience with the family! read more

Absolutely amazing and an absolute must! I had the best time. It was the first time I've ever been white water rafting. It's a rush and the scenery is beautiful, but what truly makes this trip seamless is the team. The staff booking everything does an amazing job. My wife and our 12 year old son loved this excursion. It was about 10 miles, lasted over an hour, and a big shout out to Isaac who was our guide. First time for our 15- and 18-year old boys - booked "Lower Whitewater Trip" Class III/IV - this was a great 1st time experience. Our guide said the rapids were more like Class III - I think this is typical later summer? But our boys are enthusiasts and want to go again (but more of Class IV) - it was pretty mild, but like I said, great 1st experience. Quick drive from Town Center in Big Sky - like 10 minutes. Do your waiver and payment on-line for seamless check-in. It was a nice day with obviously cold water - we didn't rent any special gear, and were totally fine. Water starts to feel good (at least if you have a nice day like we did). Wear your Teva's or water shoes! About a 20 minute drive to where you take off. Hope for a great guide - we had Kyle and he made our trip exceptional. We were going through dips and "whitewater" that other rafts were passing by. He was very experienced, had a great personality and had a lot of knowledge about the surroundings. Thanks Kyle!! Return is roughly 35 minutes back, where you can view your photos. The photographers are phenomenal, but pricey - $125 for all the digitals. There is an option to choose 1 or 3 photos, but there are so many great pic's, you'll want them all! Don't forget to bring cash to tip your guide - if you forget (like we did), you can Venmo. Great times. read more

What a fun morning on the river, whitewater rafting! There was two in our party and by luck we got our own boat and guide. I booked it about a week in advance and easy to fill out all the papers online, and just show up. Matt Kraska was our guide and was super knowledgeable about rafting and the area. Super safe and a very fun trip and rapids. It was August so the water was really low. The rapids were not challenging, but the raft in front of us did lose three people out, (and safely back in) so FYI that anything can happen. It was my friends first rafting trip and my 3rd, so it was perfect experience. The views and area is amazing. Loved the pics at the end of the trip. We bought them all. I've been a guide for many years and would never go rafting with any of your let alone drink a beer with them after a trip. They can't hit lines, they have no personality, and your operation is a damn joke. Your set up for tourist and that's it. Second time rafting with this crew and we had a good time despite the weather. We made our reservations a few months ahead of time. Arrived in the area for our vacation and encountered rain, snow and 36 degrees outside in early June on the day of our rafting trip. I know mountain weather can be unpredictable so I had some thermal underwear for my kids just in case. So glad we brought them as they definitely came in handy this day. What really impressed me with Geyser White Water was how all the staff took extra measures making sure my kids had additional layers to stay as warm as possible. They even lent my husband and I fleece jackets. I also really appreciate our guide on the river, Archer. He brought some extra gloves and let our kids use those. He also kept the raft on the right path and made sure we all stayed in. Given the cold nobody was interested in falling out. I definitely recommend rafting with this group and FYI they raft in all weather so come prepared. read more

I highly recommend booking a trip on the class III and IV rapids. This was the first whitewater trip for my 14 year old son and 11 year old daughter and they wanted to do it again. Can't believe how much fun we had - went to the wrong place first and felt like idiots, everyone at Geyser was so nice and accommodating, and our guides Corinne and Ryan were both especially awesome. I have put off rafting for years because I was worried about safety but between the full gear provided and the clear directions on what to do in any scenario, I felt confident, looked out for, and capable. Definitely volunteer to be in the front of the boat! The scenery was gorgeous and we all had so much fun!! They brought cookies and water for the end of the ride, and had tons of funny stories and local recommendations to share along the way. Also, their photographer (who follows you along the banks of the river) is excellent - he got great shots of our group that I loved sharing with my family. This was a highlight of my trip to Big Sky. I recently rented a boat for 1 hour at Big Sky Resort and was appalled with the treatment I received by the person running the check in. To be clear there were 2 people working, one person was in training and the other person was a seasoned employee. I know this to be true as they stated they had worked there for several seasons. Extremely rude and very curt with responses to my questions. Addituonally after 20 minutes of paddle boarding I had asked if I could trade in the SUP for a kayak and was told "absolutely not". No reason given and didn't understand why I couldn't as there was an available kayak sitting on the shore. No additional effort was needing from the staff. The person in training did apologize to me on 2 different times as they recognized that the person in charge was rude read more

Fantastic. The service was friendly and entertaining. The equipment was solid--and wet suits were given to us for free due to the water temperature. Our guide, Travis, was completely new (we were his first clients), but he was competent and very cordial, putting up with some numbskull comments on our part. The directions are very clear, and they make sure you feel safe--but not too nervous--by the time you get in the raft. I don't think the rapids we went down, which they said hit Class 4 were really anything above Class 3, but it was enough for myself and my wife, both beginners, to get excited and have fun. We wish there had been more rapids sooner--there's a decent bit of down-time while on the river--but it ended adventurously. Definitely don't do the Class 2/3 route unless you have kids; my guess is you'd be disappointed. The Class 3/4 route is the way to go. If you're an expert rafter, you'll probably want to go elsewhere. As to cost...I think we paid $135 for the two of us. A man takes photos of each raft at numerous points along the river.
