He could have easily charged me for an hour. He only charged me for 30 minutes. Great guy. I am looking for other items that I can hire him for around the house and yard.

We had used them the year before to blow out our sprinklers and thought we would give them a try for the other "offered services" they have listed on their card. I was unable to meet with them but my wife had some time since she was home with a newborn. Joseph and another man came out and looked and gave my wife an Idea of what it would cost ($900-$1100). After I had talked with my wife I wanted to lessen the amount of grass and in turn lessen how many sprinklers and line needed to be placed. I wanted to add a box to the back yard and put a hose connect off of that line to use irrigation water instead of house water. I then called and talked with Ginger with Joseph talking in the background. I asked about the weeds that I had and they said they would re-grade and remove all of them. I emphasized what I wanted and they said it would be $1300. I said that would be fine but I would like a proposal. Ginger asked me to text that to her. I then sent her my email. After a couple of days, I never saw a proposal. So I texted again and she said she thought her husband sent that off and that she would get one out to us. After a few more days of not seeing anything I called again and they ignored the proposal that I requested and then said that they moved up my date for the work requested. I said I was fine with that and that I would get them there deposit but I need a proposal. Ginger said she would bring one when she picked up the deposit from my wife. Ginger showed up and got the deposit but no proposal which means I can't track what they are guaranteeing to do for the price discussed. So the day of work to be completed, at first only Joseph showed up and as I walked with him through the back yard he said there is a lot of weeds. I told him I had tried to take them down but since he said he could do it and that he was re-grading the yard I stopped. He then says I will call in some help. I then go over and re-emphasize what I wanted with the sprinklers, and he says "oh, I have a lot more stuff then what I need." I then say well the will help me out on my price right? His response was we will see. He then proceeds to tell me that he can't figure out how to get a valve box in the back yard. In all honesty, these people are lazy and don't do good or honest work. If you put the valve on that line and then ran the valve electric back to where you "T'd" off the main next to the other valve box where you spliced it in currently it would have been done right. Then when he buried the trench he dug instead of putting the top layer of sod back he just buried it in the trench with dirt on top. It looks like garbage. I then asked for an invoice of what he actually did, and it only shows totals for that day. Doesn't show anything for the collected deposit. The real sad part is that I saw this coming. If you decide to deal with these jokers make sure you don't do anything until you have a written proposal and a guarantee that they understand what you want to be done. Things I asked for: 1- weeds removed. 2- area re-graded. 3- area by a fence built up 3"-4". 4- valve box in back with hose line on it. What I got but didn't ask for: 1-all weeds were not removed. 2-area was not re-graded. 3-area by a fence built up only 2" 4- vale box in front yard not in the back. 5- splotchy grass

His crew left concrete splatter all over our fence and house. Asked him to get it off but never did. He charged $950.00 to roll out sod in our very small backyard. He was asked to transplant a boxwood but never did. During the job we did not hear from him for days then suddenly would show up with empty promises. My neighbor asked him to replace the rock he moved to do the cement work and he refused. She nicely stated that he had removed it and it was HIS job to replace it. He called her a "bitch"! He then said he was sick of my husband and me because we texted him when he did not show up and just wanted to know his schedule. VERY POOR COMMUNICATION. Then when my husband was not home he showed up and said that I was very beautiful and he'd like to see pictures of me 20 years ago. VERY INAPPROPRIATE. He claimed to me that he is the Governor's landscaper and had at one time be in charge of all the the High Tower community, DO NOT HIRE HIM.

I hired the Lawn Barber back at the beginning of July to maintain & clean up my daughters lawn and…read moreyard . Our daughter is pregnant and I didn't want her over worked with lawn care . We were going to hold a baby shower in September and figured the lawn service should be able to get the yard in shape before then. My main concern were weeds in flower beds and garden plus my daughter wanted mulch in side beds with weed screen . Terry also suggested a plastic border that they would install . All this was discussed with Terry and was quoted a weekly fee that seemed HIGH but, I figured it was because they needed to do so much . A couple of weeks prior to baby shower our daughter and son in law were mulching the beds themselves because it was never done! Finally, I called Terry and reminded him that he was hired to get the yard looking good prior to Baby shower and it was fast approaching. They did clean up side yard but , the front &back yard bedding areas were never addressed still had weeds and he never completed what he said he would do . Today I recieved a huge bill for services rendered and I feel like I was riped off ! Do not hire this man or his crew !

I hired him to do work on several of my projects and assisted him in designing several projects of his own. I liked his attitude so much I was very hopefull and wanted to help him get up and running here in Idaho. I even loaned him money when he needed a new family vehicle. Come to find out that all of the photos he showed me were built by other pool contractors that he simply worked for. I learned a valuable lesson as everything he touched was done wrong. Horribly wrong. I have since spoken with other people that hired Jake to work on their pools and it was one horror story after another. I cannot speak to his skills pouring flatwork or kitchen tile but Jake has no business building swimming pools and the last thing we need here in Idaho is another underqualified swimming pool contractor.

I shopped around and found some quotes but his by far was the best. Even after requesting some add ons he was happy to do them for me. His concrete work looks really good. Everyone is complementing my back yard. The stamped concrete looks amazing and not to mention all the additional drains he installed to make sure we have a great flow and no flooding. If you are looking for concrete work, tile, turf, you name it. Custom home improvements is the way to go. I have had 0 complaints so far and they exceded my expectations . Thanks Jake!!!!
