We first learned about Wise Choice through Yelp, and although we were initially nervous about choosing a contractor for such a large job (they gave us the best estimate, by far!) without a personal recommendation, we couldn't be happier with our decision. They were great to work with throughout the entire process, from architectural and engineering plans, permitting, and the actual construction. The project manager, Sergiy, and foreman, Bogdan, were very honest, helpful, and responsive every step of the way. The project was completed pretty much on budget (with only a couple of unforeseen issues outside of their control) and on time. His team were respectful and considerate of our needs: as we sometimes work from home, there was a time that we had to ask them to pause some construction while we were on work calls. Alex made some siding suggestions that we never thought about and are very happy with his ideas. He also suggested a change with our front porch lighting and soffit and WOW, we love it. Regarding cost, GAB Construction were very reasonable, and the little additions that they did were well worth it! Timeline: Alex said it would approximately take a week and a half to two weeks, weather permitting, and he was spot on. Highly recommend Alex and team (GAB Construction)! Pricing was very competitive. Alex and his crew did a fantastic job installing my deck stairs and porch, they are beautifully done and very sturdy. Far better than what we had before. They were there within 2 days of hire and completed the work within 2 days. We told them not to paint but Alex threw in paint for just the cost of materials, which was nice. Although, I wish I had some say on the color since they didn't ask beforehand and I would have loved a natural stain instead. The crew was very kind, they'd even bring my packages into the garage for me and make sure to close the garage door when they were done. The work is sturdy, done right, and I feel confident will last. My only point of advice is to just be more mindful of the garden. I had just purchased and planted 6 new plants and had a succulent ground cover I had been working to grow out for years. It was all so trampled I thought maybe they had dug it out at first. It would have been nice to get warning so I could dig it up myself (since it was fresh planted) or for them to step around it. Overall, I'd definitely hire GAB again (and likely will to finish our deck soon) and will reccomend them to friends and family. Then we found A.D. Master Construction. They quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it correctly. The owner, Dmytro, came out personally to provide the estimate, which we appreciated. On the first day of the project, I had a few concerns, and Dmytro came out right away to address them. He took the time to explain everything, and I immediately felt confident we were in good hands. Ruvim did an excellent job with the siding--it looks fantastic. Most importantly, after testing, the leak is finally gone! We're very happy with the quality of the work and the overall experience. Forty years of direct sun had taken its toll on our cedar siding. The back side of our house and garage is protected and the cedar is in great shape. That's the part we wanted to paint. James Hardie siding will last our lifetime and looks beautiful. Our lead, Joe Ray, was courteous, knowledgeable and quick to communicate.
