After the cleaning, we got a bill for over $100. What the heck! Our plan pays 100% for a cleaning and check-up. Come to find out, the insurance is out of network, but I wasn't told. I would have never made this appointment... Why would I go to a dentist who just covers a fraction of the cost, instead of one covering a 100%. I guess I'm stuck paying this $100. I sent an email to the office and was ignored. Just to compare to other dental offices, I called three other dental practices and was correctly told it was out of network. I wish Dr. Evers' office staff would have done the same. The dentist might be fine, but if the office is not properly run, I would stay away from the practice.

Then said she had to call in "The doctor" before she could proceed, implying I was at fault and 'a bad patient'. As a physician, I recognize (and abhor) that tactic. Was told I needed a deep cleaning and nothing else would be done that night. This was after I waited 45 min for my appointment and never had my teeth cleaned. I was going to have to make more appointments in the future. I said no thank you and left. Then charged $100 for the poking, the pain and the attempt at humiliation. Sorry, this is not the way to run a compassionate professional practice. Well, it used to be not the way. Now it's all about $$$ and making patients "the problem". I am so so sick of it.

Dr commented verbally that i must be someone who needs more Novocaine. I assumed they would have made a note of that in my chart. For the second filling I was already very nervous about the procedure and it was obvious enough since i was shaking in the chair enough they they offered me a blanket-thanks but being chilly was not my main concern. They again failed to give me enough Novocaine. By this point i was a wreak in the chair while they attempted to give me more Novocaine. How did they not make sure this didn't happen again?!!! I had tears streaming down my face, my whole body was shaking, hands had a death grip on the arm rest. How anyone could not tell i was in serious distress is beyond me. no suggestion of any other way to address my fear. No laughing gas, not even taking the time to stop what they were doing to see how i could be helped. I practically jumped out of the chair as soon as it was over with the silent vow to never ever return. I've been terrified to even get a cleaning since then. I say all this because the website indicates that they provide support and aid to those with dental fears. They don't. You get a musty blanket and headphones to listen to music. He was among the first dentist to master and use the wand to administer septocain to numb pain. If you have not experienced the wand, it is virtually painless because the needle is so small. Anyone with a fear of getting numbed up should visit Dr. Willderman. He and his wonderful staff are very calming and the dental work, including cosmetic dentistry is first rate. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE!! I went to them starting in 2024 for a cleaning and a tooth concern. I…read morehad told the Dr that there is a massive brown split in my molar. He then stated that that was just a "shadow" and that I have no cavities. Which was already hard to believe cause I was not taking good care of my teeth and was going there to begin my journey to restore my smile health. I did question this diagnosis of a "shadow" and he told me yes there is no cavity there even though, I could see it with my own eyes not even needing an x-ray. Flash forward to 2025 and I was having extreme pain in that tooth so we went back and he then said the tooth would need a root canal and crown. How could that be if there "was no cavity" in the first place so we began that process. the Dr said he could complete the procedure but when it was all said and done turns out he never even finished cleaning the root out!! AND sealed a massive infection in my tooth with a crown!!!! All because the root was curved and his tools couldn't handle cleaning it out properly without breaking my tooth root stating "that's as far as we can go" not "OK the tooth is all cleaned out". Instead of referring me out he went ahead and did the procedure and took our money happily since we were paying out of pocket. Then I was left with a horribly fitting crown destroying my bite and opposing teeth, and the crown was so cheap that when I had to go somewhere else to have the tooth actually cleaned and a proper root canal done the other dentist said that when he drilled through the tooth the crown was flaking away like a piece of plastic and, inside the tooth itself, they opened it and the first thing they said was "wow". I had 2 other fillings placed in this office on cavities they also "missed" during that cleaning as they couldn't have formed in a bit under 2 years by the son that was struggling so bad to reach the teeth that those two fillings had me there for about 3 hours and then ultimately a few days later turned into abscessed infections and needed root canals also. The office finance guy was not willing to refund us the money that we asked for because we didn't pay for the 2 fillings yet that ended up infected so he would give us what was left over after he took the money out for those and that they would replace the crown for free. Why would I want cheap crown in MY mouth. I WILL NEVER LET THESE PEOPLE COME NEAR MY MOUTH AGAIN. I would never send my friends, neighbors, or loved one to them. Do NOT go here as it seems they no longer have any idea what they are doing in there.

Everyone at Tyma Trachtenberg Dental is extremely professional, courteous, and they take a genuine interest in you as a person, and your dental health. They explain how every dental procedure works, even the simplest ones involving a routine cleaning. All of their equipment is state of the art and they do their best to make each individual comfortable. You do pay upfront for your services but the office staff takes care of submitting your claim to insurance and you get reimbursed depending on what your plan covers. I see Dr. Bullock for my exams and he is simply the best. If anyone hated going to the dentist before, they would have a complete change of heart after going here. Shannon the doctor's help was extremely kind and willing to take us in as a new patient and work around my schedule. I felt extremely comfortable with the Dr. Hyduk. Let's face it, going to the dentist sometimes can be stressful. I had to have a cavity filled and he did it with no novocaine, per my request and I did not feel any pain. Great dentist with great staff in a great location. My whole family will now be going there.
