Because of Dr. Muñoz my son was evaluated immediately into the NICU where he spent 4 days into proper care and healing. In addition, I have 2 toddlers now who are non-verbal on the spectrum, which can be very difficult to understand when they might be bothered by any sickness as they cannot communicate. However, Dr. Muñoz has always been able to identify and clearly name any sickness they have gone through and has always been on point. With her judgement, they've always received speedy recovery and care. Ever since her discernment with my newborn son 2 years ago, she has completely gained my trust! Not to mention how incredibly kind and compassionate she was towards me as a mama in post-partum, always asking with genuine care how I was doing. I love this office and their friendly staff so much! I wish we had been given better guidance on the piercing procedure. Since babies cannot have their ears numbed like adults, I would have appreciated being advised beforehand about the different piercing methods and which option may be more comfortable for a baby. From what I later learned, instrument piercing can be a less painful option, and I wish someone had explained this to us before the procedure so we could make a more informed decision for our baby. 2. The person performing the procedure seemed a little impatient with my fussy baby. I completely understand that babies cry and can be difficult to keep still, but I expected a little more patience and reassurance, especially for a service specifically offered for babies and toddlers. I was also asked if my baby had a pacifier, and when I explained that she doesn't like them, I felt a little judged. Nothing inappropriate was said, but as a parent, you sometimes just get that feeling. 3. The pricing and website description were confusing. The website originally stated that the $119 service included the flat-back earrings, which led me to believe the complete earrings were included. When we arrived, we were told the jewelry was separate. After I showed the nurse the wording on the website, I was told that the $119 only included the titanium flat-back post and that the front piece was an additional $70. Since we had already paid the deposit and were there for the appointment, we decided to pay the additional amount. I completely understand that jewelry can have an additional cost, but I believe the pricing should have been clearly explained from the beginning. I also noticed that the website description was later edited/changed after I brought up the issue, which was disappointing. 4. I also requested a receipt and was told it would be emailed to me, but I still have not received it. Overall, the office is clean and the staff was okay, but considering the price we paid, I expected a higher level of care, communication, and attention to the baby's comfort. I'm sharing this respectfully because I think the experience could be improved. Clear pricing, better guidance for parents, and a little more patience with fussy babies would make a big difference.

My son''s blood test results yielded a borderline result and rather than accept those results and put us through the rigorous treatment, this doctor requested a reetake of the test which resulted in a clearer outcome. We appreciated the extra thought and time that he spent with us. Not rushed, completely in the moment and focused on my son. Many doctors will try to push you out the door as quickly as they can, not this one.

I have been happy with everyone but Dr Miyamoto and his two assistants are extra special. Often the 3 work together to keep everyone calm, happy, and moving along efficiently. Fabiola always offers my 2 year old coloring pages to keep him busy. She is always happy to see us and makes the visit fun for everyone. She does injections very quickly and always gives tips on how to help my babies feel better like massaging injection sites or throwing out sick toothbrushes. They remember all our names, treat us with respect, explain procedures and illnesses. Dr Miyamoto is always calm and gentle. His bedside manner with children is incredible. He also gives tips on every day care like discipline and potty training. We receive a children's book at each well baby check up. My son has always hated being touched by doctors (even when we were in the hospital right after birth) it has taken nearly 3 years but we finally had a cry free visit which included a strep test! Only a month ago he had a strep test by a different nurse and she called in reinforcements to hold him down :( Fabiola on the other hand explain to him and me exactly what she was going to do and what each of us needed to do. He proceeded to lay down calmly and open his mouth nice and wide. I almost cried tears of joy at the difference. This staff continues to treat him calmly and as he has gotten to know them, he has warmed up. I really cannot say enough good things! Also at this office you can check in at home on your computer or your phone which eliminates most paperwork and extra time at the office. Side note: when my son was first born they told me Dr. Miyamoto wasn't accepting any new patients so I got in with a different doctor. But then, I simply asked if his next appointment could be with Dr. M and they said yes, we've seen him ever since! :)

Eventually, we transitioned to Dr. Pardo (due to scheduling purposes) and he has been the absolute best. He is punctual and takes his time to listen to us during our visits. He has helped care for and advocate (to our insurance company) for both of my children's medical needs. He is an active listener and helps answer any questions or concerns we may have. The office personal is top tier! Patty, Sandra and Vanessa always greet us with a smile and are always ready to help us. Whether it's making appointments, helping get paperwork processed or just a genuine check-in if we haven't seen them in a while I can always count on their positive attitudes.
