From the beginning, he treated my case with the urgency it deserved. There was no delay, no complacency--within two weeks of my diagnosis, he had me in surgery. Shortly after, he ensured my chemo port was placed so treatment could begin without interruption. What stood out just as much as his decisiveness was his empathy. He didn't approach me like just another case--he understood the gravity of what I was facing and made sure I felt it through his actions, not just his words. Its absolutely mind blowing how this practice is still in business with his office manager Christy or however her name is spelled. Christy is disgraceful, incompetent, and 100% not professional. She needs to find a new line of work if she doesn't know how to read what tests were ordered. Absolutely PATHETIC to be the office manager and not know what was or was not ordered. If you value your time and/or your sanity AVOID this practice at all cost! Christy lied to me multiple times (and I fully believe she intended to do so maliciously - which is really where the problem lies) and here is the FULL STORY. Enjoy! I needed bloodwork and went to get it done. While at Quest I was informed there was no TB test ordered by my Dr. Office (Dr. Lipman). So I called Dr. Lipman's office and spoke to Christy. She stated that she had electronically submitted the TB test and I informed her that I was in the phlebotomists office, looking at what was actually ordered, and there was NO TB TEST. She doubled down, and rudely stated the date and time that it was submitted. She was wrong, so I asked her to send over proof of the TB test being ordered. We waited and waited. 30 minutes later the phlebotomist shows us the faxed "proof". Guess what!!! IT DID NOT SHOW ANY TB TEST. So I called Dr. Lipman's office back and asked her why the order doesn't show TB test. Of course she didn't have any answer for me, I explained to her that she wasted my time by giving me incorrect information making me think that I needed a TB test when in fact it was not needed. She clearly didn't like that because she then became even more unprofessional and rude. Clearly not making any progress with her over the phone, I decided to go into Dr. Lipman's office to have the conversation in person and find out why she wants to lie and be rude, and unprofessional - ALL WHILE BE WRONG!!! I ended up speaking with Dr. Lipman himself. He was not much better. He wouldn't let me speak. He interrupted me multiple times when I was literally just trying to explain to him the issue at hand, for him to decide how to mediate the situation. He kept repeating himself, asking me what I would like done, and while answering that question he would continue to interrupt me. This guy clearly does not value his customers, so its obvious where Christy gets her attitude from. Every single business owner should understand that things will happen and that customers will bring things to their attention and its in the business owners best interest to take a few short moments to listen to both sides of the story and then go from there. Dr. Lipman had no desire to do that. Dr. Lipman had no desire to let me tell him how rude, and how wrong, and how much of a waste of time his employee caused me. PATHETIC! You need to do better!

I decided to try this doctor being a DO after he saw my mom in the hospital and did an amazing job…read morein my opinion. I needed a new doctor since my Asthma/Allergy doctor left his practice. However, since seeing him in his office and the last two visits with PA Steiner, my opinion has completely changed on these guys. First off I'll say, I will never go back here and I don't recommend them. As pulmonary doctors, having asthma, a PFT test should be done, but that's not the biggest issue. I have a history of pneumonia in my right lung along with other issues. The last time I saw PA Steiner, I was extremely sick with pneumonia and other issues. He did absolutely nothing for me. Didn't offer any medications, no advice, nothing. I fortunately decided to go to pulmonary at the VA. She immediately ran a boat load of blood tests, ordered a CT Scan and a PFT initially which after that one a more advanced one. So this is why I'm not recommending these guys.... The blood work came back showing issues, the CT of my lungs came back showing issues, I'm waiting for the second PFT. These guys are Intensive and Pulmonary and did absolutely nothing for me or made any attempt to diagnose me. Beware if you have serious pulmonary issues. I should not have to request or demand for them to do their job. I'll stick with the VA as these guys did not want to do anything to help me or earn my business or recommendation.

In the several…read moreyears I was a patient, she burned through many office employees and assistants which made consistent care difficult. She let my medically necessary asthma medication expire and her receptionist told me she was not refilling -any- prescriptions or following up on any patient needs via telephone, email, or fax. My pharmacy called her twice to simply have her authorize refills and she refused to answer. Her incompetence can compromise your health. Avoid this doctor.

The actual medical treatment was fine. The facility is clean. The licensed staff were…read moreprofessional. But overall, dealing with these folks was a complete nightmare. Everything was a fight, and the office staff treated me like garbage. To start off with, my insurance company was difficult, to the point that I had to hire an attorney to get treatment in the first place. I knew how to deal with the insurance, but Dr. Debenham told me in no uncertain terms to butt out. Not a problem for me. Well, the office staff completely fouled up, then refused to file an appeal after the last two weeks were denied due to being outside the initial pre-approval dates. I brought them the correct appeal form after the denial, and they still refused to have the physician sign it and send it in. I even offered to have my attorney intervene. The contract with the insurance company disallowed billing the patient for unauthorized care, but I'm still getting bills almost three years later. What irritates me is that I brought them the appeal form that would have corrected it! Then there was the FMLA issue. I had three months of vacation on the books that I couldn't use consecutively without FMLA. That was my condition before agreeing to treatment with them, and the physician agreed to it. When it came time, one of the office staff decided I was malingering and refused to deal with it. She went as far as telling that to the company handling FMLA approvals for my employer. I know because their agent repeated it to me and hassled me about it until I said, "Well, I guess I need to cancel my cancer treatment to keep from losing my job." The pucker factor on the other end of the line would have been funny if it hadn't been so serious... Now, I COULD have worked an office job during treatment. As a nurse doing 12-hour shifts in a busy ER, there was no way I could work my shifts on treatment days. It finally came down to me telling them, "Fine. I'll be here for treatment Mondays through Thursdays, and I'll be working at the ER Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays." One of the techs asked me why I couldn't call off once a week. Because I'd have been fired after about four absences! Treatment was five days a week, so they ended up filling out the FMLA paperwork. Look, you can charge for filling out FMLA paperwork. That would have been fine. Sending me off to my primary physician to get it filled out would have been fine. Telling me it wasn't a problem then making it into a major issue is not okay. But wait. There's more! The same office staff member who tried to derail me on FMLA, successfully blocked me from getting the PET scan that had been ordered by Dr. Debenham at my request. I'd had a nuclear bone scan that showed a possible malignancy. I needed his signature on the insurance referral form, and she flat out said, "I'm not filling that out!" I don't know what caused that person to be as she was, but she should not have been working in health care. In the end, I had to have my primary re-order the PET scan. The nuclear med scan turned out to be a false positive, as expected, but an incidental finding of the PET scan was thyroid cancer that was already in the lymph nodes. I mean, what do you say after that? It's Dr. Debenham's show, and he can run it however he wants. I'm just happy to never see him or that office again.

CANCER. It doesn't matter what kind. The first time you hear that word referring to a diagnosis…read morethat involves YOU, your whole world changes. The sense of your mortality washes over you, like a huge bucket of ice water dumped over your head, with no warning whatsoever. Fortunately, treatments for it have advanced by leaps and bounds, and depending on what stage they catch it at,it's not the absolute death sentence it once was. Mine was diagnosed at Stage 2, following a biopsy of my prostate. Being brand new at this, I had absolutely no idea what to expect. AT ALL. All I knew was that I was directed to go to the Center to begin a routine of 45 radiation treatments, consulting with the oncologist, Dr. Douglas Debenham, whom I would be meeting with once every week during the 9-week period. Looking back now, coming up on two months since the final day of treatments, I can consider myself a very lucky man. Not just for the fact that the treatments worked, but because of the efficiency, warmth, humor and compassion of Doc Debenham and the entire staff I encountered, displayed through my entire treatment cycle. Between them and my wonderful husband, I couldn't have wanted for a better team who had my back every step of the way. There aren't nearly enough words or gestures I can use to express my gratitude. If you're a man who's reading this, I urge you to make sure and ask your primary doctor about getting your PSA numbers checked out, when you have to do routine blood work during check-ups. DEMAND it if you have to. When I was diagnosed, it was just a lucky break that I was seeing my urologist about a completely different issue, and he was intuitive enough to have the test done for me. Otherwise, I had no symptoms at all, and probably wouldn't have known I had prostate cancer, until it was far too late to do anything about it. And if you're thinking "I'm not old enough to worry about this," cancel that ish RIGHT NOW. The trend for prostate cancer is skewing more and more to men over 40 now, so if you just turned that corner age-wise, don't wait. And if you find yourself staring down the barrel of that diagnosis, and your insurance allows it, ask your doctor about choosing Las Vegas Prostate Cancer Center. You couldn't ask for better, and could certainly do a lot worse.
