Snake oil. The flooring that's "so tough they drive their forklifts on it on the showroom floor" cracked when we had to move our fridge, less than 4 years new. No warranty by them, their installers, or their product. Very poor quality, especially for the cost. read more

I bought a brand new home with Nilson homes in October 2023. We had some problems and had to have the entire upper floor redone. The crew that came out to relay new laminate made a HUGE mess in my brand new house that I have 3 small children living in and they didn't even seem to care. I mean like an inch thick of dust everywhere because they didn't take care to cover my furniture or make sure things were protected. The laminate was also cut too short in spots and floats away from my carpet and I have huge gaps up to an inch wide exposing subfloor. The carpet that was lifted up and then laid back down has gaps everywhere from the carpet to the baseboards a quarter inch in some spots. The new carpet that was laid in my living room looks like total garbage. The Zbar transition edge is wavy bumpy and horrible. The carpet seam is visible in a spot of it and it all around just looks terrible. Not to mention the horrendous customer service. When I called the gal with GCO I'm supposed to talk with for my warranty through Nilson homes and I expressed my frustrations to she hung up on me!! I wasn't even mean to her nor did I use any bad language. When I tried to call back thinking maybe we got disconnected she didn't answer and I knew it wasn't a mistake. About an hour later I got a call from her boss asking how I was and I told him well I was fine until "she" hung up on me and he had the audacity to say "well I guess that makes two of you". Excuse me sir but I had her on speaker phone with my husband present the whole time and I would never be mean to them. I should be able to let them know my frustration so they understand what's going on without being treated that way and hung up on. Horrible horrible place and I would highly suggest doing business literally anywhere else! read more

We went into the store to purchase laminate hardwood flooring and carpet for a newly purchased home and was given a very high initial bid (3 times what others bid) and the sales man didn't even have to look up any of the flooring to calculate costs. We were then told they could come out the next day to measure the rooms for an exact cost and took our information and scheduled an appt with a 2 hour window the very next day. The next day we sat there waiting and they did not show up or call. If your wanting to get something done in a timely manner with a customer service that communicates with you look elsewhere. read more

Would not recommend. They order too much that you pay for and won't let you return. Go to Floor and Decor. They will take your extra tile back and return your money. I had entire downstairs laid with carpeting....they put in wrong carpet. It still looks ok, so didn't raise a stink. read more

Be darn careful before you sign anything. Trying to work with them as a Landlord, they're sticking my tenants with carpet they were getting approved. Carpet One told them not to worry, that they were a month out, but when my tenants started to back out because the carpet wasn't approved. Carpet One changed their stance, "We already cut the carpet, you will have to pay a restocking fee, but all is forgiven if you upgrade to a better carpet with us." Does this seem like a fair tactic? Don't be one of their victims. Pick another warehouse. read more

We ripped up our own old flooring to save money. We were unsure wether or not we would have to remove the baseboards. They couldn't give us a straight answer... so we left them. I wish we had removed them ourselves because we wouldn't have completely destroyed them like the so-called "professionals" did. The job was taking longer than they planned, so rather than coming back another day, they made me and my kids sit in our basement for 3 more hours while they did a HORRIBLE hurried job of throwing our baseboards back on- after ruining most of them. Finally, they left around 8 pm. Finally, I could have my house back and feed my kids dinner. Now it's been almost 3 months since we were told someone would be back to fix what was ruined and we haven't heard from anyone, even after calling them. Granted- this was all on an insurance claim- but should that make a difference? When we can finally get around to switching out our bathroom flooring, we know which company to definitely avoid. PLUS- they cut a chunk out of the corner of our kitchen island during install. They glued it back on, but you can still see where it happened. Was really hoping to have the flooring issues behind us before our newborn arrived. I now have a six week old! NOT HAPPY. UPDATE******** It has been over six months and they STILL have not fixed the issues. My husband just went in there today and they basically told him we signed a paper- which we have no copy of- and that they now aren't going to do anything about it!!! On top of that, they insulted my husband saying his "brain is warped," because they have a paper with his signature on it. Um... my husband wasn't even home when the work was done. Why would they tell us they would fix it and now all this time later basically call my husband stupid and tell him they're not doing anything about it? Completely unprofessional. Now having to deal with the insurance again to see if we can get this resolved. Also we heard from acquaintances recently about a flooring company damaging things and screwing them over. She got me great photos of the samples, kept my budget in mind, and had a great, "can-do" attitude with the short timeline. We purchased a new house and went here at the recommendation of our realtor. The pricing seemed reasonable so we went with them. When closing came I had to call, text and stop in to get them to commit to installing. Then, because we had wood and carpet they had to plan for two different days. It was extremely difficult - they refused to pick up the phone and call their supplier for an estimated delivery. Thanks to my realtor pushing - someone came out Saturday (4 hours late) to rip out the old so that the new could get in before move in date. The carpet was to go just past the steps with the carpet going down the steps. Instead they took it TO the steps with the carpet then going down the steps. When the wood was installed, he didn't have the bull-nose for the top step. This was 4 weeks ago and we STILL do not have the installation done. Although they were paid in full 4 weeks ago. My advise - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. SAE YOURSELF A LOT OF STRESS! read more

I felt our experience with them was very unprofessional. They told us we could pay $450 to tear up our old carpet and pad. Yea... We did it ourselves. It was already around $400 to install the new carpet itself. Plus the cost of the carpet. We paid for all our carpeting and fees up front, but had one room we did not have carpeted with the rest because we weren't finished remodeling. They told us we could do it any time we needed since it was paid for. By the time we were ready to install, they'd lost our paperwork, receipts and any other information. It took several weeks to clear everything up. The installer no longer worked for them so they sent whoever was available. That person did a horrible job and so they sent someone's son out to fix it. He showed up several hours later than what he'd told us. Beginning of this year, 3 years after the original installation, we had an area of carpet that was falling apart. We called them again to fix it, the son came out again. Our house reeked of cigarette smoke for a week. It was disgusting. His appearance was filthy. Carpeting may not be the cleanest job in the world, but I doubt it requires looking and smelling like you rolled in an ashtray either. We'll pay a little extra next time for a more quality experience. Disorganized, don't stand behind their products like they promise to when you first purchase and the customer service is non-existent. read more
