Do not sleep on this place! We visited here when attending an event at WVU Creative Arts Center (4 min drive). This place gives dive vibes from the outside. But inside it's welcoming, quaint, and inviting. The decor is adorable and the music was relaxing. The service here was excellent. They were very busy when we visited at dinner time, and the wait staff was super busy, but hustled and were pleasant all night long. The food is delicious, particularly the curry! Almond chicken curry was perfect. The portions are huge - we definitely could have shared. My 16 year old said "that's the best meal I've had in a long time!" I hope we get to visits here again.

Ordered teriyaki with mixed veggies and this I what I got. Lots of sweet chicken and carrots. I paid 12.80 for this. Where is my mixed veggies? which looked awesome on display and this person just chose carrots for me. Blond guy and he added lots of huge chicken Food is very sweet. Rice was half cooked.

This place is a hidden gem in a college town. We were supposed to go visit a spa/hot spring but a plan to take a deviation to visit a temple in Pittsburgh and car trouble changed our plans. This restaurant doesn't have the modern ambience but it does make you feel like you would be in a local restaurant with some south east Asian vibe. Everything we tried on the menu was tasty, flavorful and presented well. The spices were just about right!! The portions are comparatively larger compared to other Thai restaurants so order accordingly. I would definitely recommend this place. If you can't handle spicy food, just make sure you want them to make it mild.

Jack and The Beanstalk - fried green beans Very good

Tried for Dine in several times now. Food is even better. Fried appetizers like the fried green beans are great. Soups also very good. I've been happy with pretty much everything I've had here. Prices very reasonable. There was only one waitress working but she somehow kept up with 10+ tables. You really can't go wrong with this restaurant for Thai food.

When I dropped in on a holiday eve, they seemed to be awkwardly undergoing a transition from being takeout-only to doing in-person dining. They had a lot of stuff stacked up in the back of the store and service was pretty slow as they were doing quite good takeout business. But I was happy I found them. With a vegetarian menu (not as easy to find with Thai food as one might hope given all the seafood ingredients it usually has), they offered plenty of variety for me, including some tempeh, which is a Indonesian fermented soy product that isn't that common. The garden rolls I added were as fresh-tasting as I could have hoped, with the mint leaves zinging and the peanut sauce (with what looked like fermented whole peanuts) offering contrast. My curry with tempeh had a nice variety of vegetables (though I could have done without the broccoli) and a warm flavor perfect for a cold night. The portion was large (though the noodle dishes other ordered looked really big). I found the freshness and flavor better than the other Thai restaurant I tried in this town, and maybe I'll find a way back.

Pad Thai with chicken - 2 out of 4 level spicy - Medium/hot! Yum!!

We pass through Morgantown a lot, and we were craving some Thai food. This place was very quiet and tucked away within WVU. The service staff was very kind and friendly. They have digital QR code menus to cut down on contact with others. The food was very fresh and had a lot of spice!!! I got the Pad Ka Prow and my fiancé got Pad Thai with chicken. The portions are very large and we had enough to take home for lunch tomorrow. Very good, we will be back!!

Is this place better than Chang Thai?

I believe this is the best Thai place in all of morgantown. the food is incredible and authentic, the staff is extraordinarily nice, and the restaurant inside not only smells of the food, but has interesting decorations

What about vegan options? I know the Thai restaurant downtown has fish sauce in some seemingly veg dishes. Thanks!

I believe they do have vegan options. We asked if there was oyster/fish sauce in the Pad Thai, and they stated there was neither in their dish. They could probably make something vegan if you asked (:

I spent a few hours working here and visiting daily for 5 days. After having their coffee, I threw out a latte from another local coffee shop. It just didn't come close. The sweets look great too but I can't indulge since I need to keep sugar intake low. If you're a coffee lover, you'll love it here.

I've said that in many reviews (get your pastries warmed up if it's an option, especially if they're bread-based), but it's especially true here. A warm honeycomb bread is essential. Durar is located in downtown Morgantown, and it's the only Yemeni coffee shop in the area. They offer a number of other desserts, including a variety of cheesecake in unusual flavors, like pistachio, kunafa and lotus. They also have croissants, bagels, milk cakes and danishes. Of course, Durar has coffee. They serve Yemeni coffee, which has spices like cardamom and clove in it. if you're dining in, you can get it presented to you nicely on a tray, with real cups and a carafe. They also have espressos, lattes, iced coffee and hot chocolate. It took quite a while to get my honeycomb bread, but they were super busy, which I liked to see, so it didn't bother me. The honeycomb bread was worth the wait, for sure.

I was super happy to see this coffee shop…read morewhile walking around downtown Morgantown, because I really needed a boost, and this place had what I was desperately in need of: caffeine! It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.
