An example of one of the worst places to shop if you expect even the slightest semblance of customer service skillset.

Once again, Giant Eagle does not disappoint when it comes to the poorest of customer service ever. It is astounding that people are spending their hard-earned money at this location, yet the employees who are garnering a paycheck from Giant Eagle literally will not utter a word to you, and not even a "thank you." It's simply criminal to pay out the outrageous prices demanded here for such piss-poor service and employees who clearly don't care. They are literally doing the bare minimum--the bear nothing--and still collecting a paycheck every two weeks. Given this appalling experience, it is not a big surprise that their Net Promoter Score is likely sitting at a dreadful -5. Avoid this location if you value courtesy or basic service.

I'm not a huge fan of this Giant Eagle. It's not because of the selection they have, it's more because of the level of customer service you receive. If I were to evaluate this place based off of just the quality of the products held within, it would be a different story, but because a review covers more than just that, here we have it. The customer service here is some of the worst I have ever had. The employees look bothered to even have you ask them a question. And when you can ask a question they don't bother to acknowledge you. Some times they don't even care if you are standing there to ask them a question, instead they will have a whole conversation with their coworkers. The best part, or as close to best part about this location, is being able to leave. That is if you can maneuver the parking lot.

Over priced to take advantage of the lower income area that receives assistance! VERY sad parasitic situation. In a community where these people need to stretch their assistance they are getting nickled and dimed out of it instead :( it's no coincidence that it's by a bus stop and within walking distance of low income housing. There are police in the store and the parking lot is in disarray. Garbage bags and trash all over. With the highway robbery prices you'd think they would hire someone to clean up the outside. Highly picked over and disorganized shelves. Out of a lot of products on sale, probably because of the pricing.

This giant eagle is fine its just like any other maybe a bit smaller its a stand alone I go there all the time I can always find a parking spot I like the little wagons I buy less and they are easy to stroll down the aisles. the produce is great the prices are fine the same stuff is here that is at every other supermarket I have never not found what I came to buy the staff is always friendly what more can you ask for in a supermarket

They often fail to clean the store.

It wasn't as horrid as the reviews would lead you to think. Just don't expect a gleaming suburban-style mega-mart and you will be fine.

I also appreciate the fair return policy, if something is wrong they refund your money and also you can replace the item. They don't give you any grief if you need to return something like Giant Eagle. They have certainly expanded their selection and the quality has always been good. The only issue is that the items come and go just like Trader Joe's. I love the hummus chips that pop up every once in a while, but then they go away quickly. I have always loved the fact that they never use plastic bags, which is very sustainable. It is very good to have them in the neighborhood. Please note: if you park out in the front you will not be able to transport your groceries in a cart out to your car. The store is wired so that the cart gets locked up if you try to leave out of the front door. This can suck if the back parking lot is full.

The selection of products is smaller than what many other grocery stores offer, and the prices are low to moderate. My husband and I shopped at this ALDI in the South Side one time. We saw a decent variety of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, eggs, meats, seafoods, snacks, pantry items, beverages, and other products. My husband commented that the chicken cost less than the chicken at other grocery stores. We purchased several snack foods and beverages for a stay in a nearby hotel. The cashier performed their job well. We did not have to wait in line for long, and the transaction had no errors.

Felt like you walked back into fun simplier times; European huts, selling various themed items, live Christmas music, beverages and other delicious treats. A short walking distance, you will find the Highmark icerink, and in the center a sparking, festive 3D Christmas tree. Great event for locals, and if your in from out of town visiting.

It was recently renovated just in time for the NFL Draft to allow more accessibility and better space for events. In the public area, there are some tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the area. They also seem to plan to have a lot more semi-permenant attractions in the space. Currently their is a roller rink (which is surprisingly affordably priced) . It has historically been home to the Holiday Market (which was moved into the theater area this year because of the construction). I hope the market does move back because Market Square was definitely the better space for it. There is plenty of parking nearby in garages, surface lots and street parking. The one downside is that it is really tough to drive through, especially with the way the renovated it. Drivers seem to be stopping to take in the new look or don't understand directional signage so there is often traffic backups.
