The one near Pegg Road in Lexington Park has 5 cents off on Thursday's, if you wing it to fill up and use your gas points on that day you can save a decent amount. The pharmacy people refuse to refill my prescription and don't go to them and I am willing to take legal action against them if they continue not to do anything about my prescription I am a type 2 diabetic and they said oh we can't don't anything to refill it. Aside from the really friendly guy who works in the produce department, I don't love this location. The produce is decent here and I'd say better than the Lusby location quality wise. They seem to take their time making sure the produce they put out is fresh. They do have pretty decent sales and the self checkout is easy to use. The aisles are laid out really bizarrely- the milk is stored in a random aisle and not on the outer edge of the stories like in most locations. I tried placing an online deli order through their app with a 30 pickup time window and waited, and waited, and waited for a text that my meat and cheese was ready until the end of the window. By this time I was completely done with my shopping and still nothing so I went to the deli counter to ask and they hadn't started preparing my order or even noticed that it had been placed. They tried to start on it then but then they realized they didn't even have two of the meats that I had ordered in stock, so they directed me to the already packaged meats in the deli. No thanks, if I wanted pre-packaged meat I wouldn't have tried to order fresh from them. This is the second Giant location where this has happened to me so I don't really see the point of 1) offering the service of ordering online to save time when in reality it takes longer than just waiting in line at the counter to order and 2) letting people places orders for things that aren't even in stock. read more

My wife and I waited at the bakery counter for 10 minutes yesterday, patiently waiting until the employee behind the counter finished his task. Once he completed, I tried catching his attention, but he walked by us twice carefully avoiding eye contact and completely ignoring us. He eventually went into the walk-in refrigerator where he could continue to give us the cold shoulder. Needless to say, we won't be back to Giant's bakery department--terrible customer service. read more

I used to go to Giant in California, MD mostly just for meat and seafood, but the past few times I've been there, I just couldn't get any service. There's either nobody working behind the counter, or if there are, they ignore you. Very poor customer service, and it reflects on management. read more

I enjoy shopping here albeit its very pricey. The payoff is there is practically no wait to checkout and the staff are very friendly and helpful. This place is very clean and well stocked. Perhaps my only peev is that the deli kiosk located at the front of the store is often no working properly and my order doesnt always register. =-( All-in-all this is a great place to shop--as long as your not trying to keep it cheap. Target and Wal-mart are WAY cheaper. read more

The cashiers are very nice. But, my husband was trying to find NY strip steaks. The selection was poor (Just like at the Giant Food in Lusby). I rang the bell for the meat department and when the lady came out, he told her he was looking for NY strip steaks. She pointed to the meat case and said "we have rib eye on sale. I just looked at her and walked away. Rib eye is not what he wanted. The Lusby store has very poor steak selections as well. We really miss Woodburn's. read more
