Giant employs sone of the hardest working people. There's a bunch of smart courtesy desk workers at this WG location such as Willow, Cheyanne, Renata and others I can't name! Occasionally, there's a shelf with the wrong item/price compared to the register price but the front desk will gladly adjust the difference for you with a smile. Great selection! The store is always stocked well! From the meat department to the deli and produce, staff are on pointe with customer satisfaction. Shopping in these current times is both rewarding and complicated. Each store has their reward system and the staff who man the different departments to assist the consumer in finding their item. Some days are easy, some not so much. And because I'm on a budget and watch my dollars, it can turn into a scavenger hunt, especially when price cards don't match the product or items are out of stock. So, it's different for each person depending on your style of shopping or your budget. This WindGap Giant location is accessible for many residents, and quite honestly, the only supermarket in town. What that means is, since they draw a large amount of local business, much of it older residents, they should accommodate the people with caring staff, affordable prices, good sales and quality goods. I was in the area and needed to get some groceries so I Visited the local GIANT store where I was, that also had a Pharmacy located inside to fill prescriptions, get advice on medications, receive health screenings, and get immunizations. The area for questioning the pharmacist, they had a nice private area, so no one around could hear your conversation. Store was very clean. I brought a few fruits and vegetables, will be using them tomorrow to cook. I will say they are pricey compared to Shop-rite that I usually shop at. My cashier, was very polite, I had brought vanilla creamer for my coffee and she had a conversation about a few flavors she likes and asked if I ever tried, and let me know the ones her husband doesn't like. She made me feel very welcomed. read more

The deli is horrible! I don't know about you, but I like my cheese sliced THIN!! I go to the deli, order a half pound of cheese and ask for it THINLY SLICED. They slice one off, hold it up from 15 feet away and ask "How's that?" I reply "As long as it's THIN" I take it home only to find its thick enough to shingle my roof. I've been shopping this giant weekly for 20 years, but recently started driving further to go to another location. There's much nicer stores out there. The aisles seem more cramped here and the store just a little less clean and organized. The staff is mostly friendly, but I'm pretty sure the cashiers are told to destroy as many of your groceries as possible, as they two-handed rapid-fire, throw your groceries onto a big pile if you try to self bag with returnable bags. Then they announce what you owe with they're arms folded watching you frantically try to bag the mountain they piled up at the end of the line. We'll still run in for a quick item since they're close and convenient, but will never need to use a cart in this location again. There are choices! read more

This review mainly pertains to the alcohol purchasing area of the store. The girl at the counter was absolutely terrible with a bad attitude. I was attempting to make a purchase and needed assistance, I suffered a stroke and only have use of one hand so I asked the girl to help get my ID out of the window pocket of my wallet and she refused to help me. I've been in this situation many times in other stores and have NEVER had a representative refuse to help. In fact most times they ask if I need help before I even have to ask for it. This is not how you should treat customers. read more

Moved to the area this past year. While the store is smaller than most, it has a decent selection of items. If there is something I can't find I'll hop on over to Weis. Produce is nice and fresh; I don't buy the whole organic thing, but if you do, they have some items. Staff have always been very pleasant to me, and I have a service dog (meaning I usually get snide comments or rude looks from staff in any store). Rather drive out of my way to go to Giant in Nazareth or Bartonsville. I have been treated very rudely on multiple occasions here. They have no gas station, no children's carts to drive around in and distract kids from the shopping experience like they used to. The free day item is conveniently NEVER in stock. My last trip there was literally no milk smaller than a full gallon, and the gallons available were leaking and damaged. Before that the canned vegetables I wanted to buy were past expiration.... pretty gross considering how long canned veggies are good for! I only go here when I have to anymore, but it really stinks to have such a crappy store be the closest one to your home! Most of the staff are kind and its not their fault this store stinks, but I really don't see why anyone would shop here unless they are desperate. read more

I don't frequent Giant stores very often, but this one seems about on par with all other Giants. For some reason, the whole store seems dimly lit, like they're trying to set the mood to help you pick up some foxy grocery and take it home. The bakery was immense and it was hard not to stop and buy something with all the good smells pouring out of there in the early morning. read more

Service has always been hit or miss at this store. However, today was a real low. I spent 45 minutes shopping and then another 15 minutes in line to be checked out. The cashier was checking out a customer and then one in front of me was unloading her groceries. Out of the blue the cashier just looked my way and said she was closing after the customer in front of me. At the time there are only 2 lines open and both had multiple customers in line. I asked what I was supposed to do and she just shrugged her shoulders and went back to checking out the customer. I left my cart full of groceries and walked out of the store. Called the store and spoke to 'customer service' to complain about what had happened. No reaction other than to say she would make sure the manager knew about it. That was it. It's an ok Giant. Its organic section is pretty non exist.

It's your standard grocery store. Everyone on the staff is very pleasant and helpful. I use the bank there and they have convenient hours. I usually look for new or seasonal items but don't always find them. No yoplait pumpkin yogurt or pumkin cheesecake ice cream from Ben and Jerry's. Prices sre better than Weis. read more

Giant usually isn't bad, but recently, this past year, employees have been slacking a lot and not really seeming to care much about what others think of their place of employment. I'm not talking about cashiers, or people on front desk. I'm talking Deli, mainly. I went in to giant today at 5pm, I placed a deli order, only four things, all cheese, and I went on shopping for the rest of my groceries. I was done and ventured back to deli to wait for my cheese. I noticed there were two people in front of me when I put in my order, so waiting five minutes wasn't bothersome. So I waited another ten minutes and nobody was in front of me in line, there were three people working in deli and all started to chat with each other. Now, okay, talk with your coworkers all you want but don't ignore he customer. Another fifteen minutes go by and I'm STILL waiting for my order. Another customer comes up and places her order, they get hers done before my number is called, at this point I'm just aggravated. So I asked about my order and they said it'll be done shortly. Again, only four offers of different cheese. So I wait some more and I'm beyond annoyed, I look at my phone and it's 5:47. Finally, at 5:53, my number is called. Disappointing. It took almost an hour for my order to be finished? And ignoring customers is beyond just being rude. You are representing this company. Not very hygienic looking either. I didn't see one person wash their hands between any orders, or at all within that hour. Mind you, I only need five other things so I was done with my other shopping within 15 minutes max. read more

Weis stores may or may not be more expensive but it's worth the trip since they have a much better selection. I'm forced to go to Giant if I'm just shopping for a few things but if you have a long list....forget it. I've never gone to the store on Male Rd. and was able to find everything on my list. It's not the managements fault....the store is just too small. No pharmacy, no gas, not enough product....unfortunately they're the only game in town. read more
