Giant is the worst. On top of being overpriced, the food quality here is literally horrible. I've gotten fruit here multiple times only to have it turn moldy in a day or two. On my most recent trip last week, I came home and found mold all over the corn tortillas that are supposed to be good for another 6 weeks. Disgusting. This is not the closest Giant to me but if I have the time, I go out of my way to shop here. The store is larger and has a bit more variety than other giants near by. I use their pharmacy and their deli is fairly well stocked. They run specials with their smoothie bar and also have some deals on hot food as well but I haven't had any of theirs before. They have Philly soft pretzels in a little cart by the pasta section but sadly they don't have any mustards out... I think they owe me like 5% of the future pretzel sales when they put out mustard. Parking lot here is a little hectic but it does the job. read more

Very big grocery store, wide aisles and huge spacing. Theres a cute robot cleaning the aisles, too, I almost bumped into it when it moved (thought it was just a sign or marker in the middle of the walkway). Lots of SKUs on the shelves. The pick up service is the worst in the history of food. I can't believe we continue to put up with it; it's like Charlie Brown and the football. Our stuff was to be ready at 2 pm. They called just as we got there to tell us not to come for 2, but to come between 3 and 3:30. Went home and went back later, arriving at 3:25. No food. They are completely confused. Finally, at a little after 4 we got our order, minus the usual bunch of things they suddenly don't have. Went home and waited an hour for the receipt to come. Had to call them to get the promised $20 refund. So for the umpteenth time, I say never again! read more

Fantastic new Giant market built next to Blue Route entrance off of West Chester Pike. The store is in back of the new Royal Farms gas station which is still under construction. No signs for store which is not visible from the road. Be careful not to take the entrance to the Blue Route which is next to the entrance to the store parking lot. There is an LA Fitness next to the Giant and they just put up a sign for them. This store appears to be larger than other Giants in the area. It has several departments that I have not seen in other Giants, an aged meat locker in a very nice butcher shop section. The seafood section has beautifully presented fish and shellfish. The store also has a juice bar, an on site bakery and a nice prepared food department. The mozzarella bar had some delicious items that were available for sampling. The staff were friendly and helpful locating items. read more

THis store showed great promise when it opened but it has gone steadily downhill since then. Grocery Getters will run you over in the aisles or block them so you can not get thru. The bearded guy in the dairy room acts as if you are invisible if you try and get his attention----consistently out of skim milk and always low on 1 percent. Unless you are there on day one of a sale be prepared to get a rain check and wait a few weeks till they restock. whatever inventory management software they are using is terrible----there are many such products which are on the market and far superior. Label printers in produce, deli and baked goods consistently fail to properly print the upc label. Management seems to take their time in repairing these. Deli workers appear to be concentrating on party orders and trays----ignoring the queue of people with their number tix in hand. Place needs to revamp except for Sharon the cashier and the customer service staff. read more

I like this one better than the newer one in Springfield because it is usually less crowded. It is clean and friendly and right next to a gym so convienent for many people. I'd give it another star if only they had enough checkout lines opened. I go anytime within a 24/7 period and never enough lines open. I LOVE this store, and they ROCK above all other Giant locations in the greater Philly area when it comes to organics, variety, the whole nine.... Have just recently had issues (multiple times) with one self-checkout attendant who won't get off her phone and do her job to assist with coupons or things not scanning. I was surprised Giant would hire someone like this because this store normally hires good kids who work at their job. I spoke to management who was very receptive to feedback, and we have not had this problem since. Awesome store. read more

I absolutely hate this store. Ever since it left it's prior location on Springfield and Rt3, we tried the new location several time and it's been nothing but a disappointment. Where are you Pathmark? I stood at the Deli for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me with 6 people behind the counter looking busy. And then the lunch meat was not cut to order. The minute I walked to the front door, I thought the cart guy was going to run into me. There is no one in the store that you can go to for help, everyone looks away when you walk by them. Maybe it's the help today but maybe it's the poor management. read more

The store is nice and clean and they have a good selection. The parking lot is really big so that's a plus. The problem with this store is the checkout lanes. They don't want to pay employees to do checkout on each out their 16 (something) lanes. So they normally have maybe 4 lanes open at most with human cashiers standing there. When you do have them check you out, they are pleasant enough. The employees are fine. It's just how they have the lanes laid out which is terrible. I will explain further.. So let's say they have about 16 isles. (i dont know the exact number but its a lot) At most, unless its a holiday you will find that a good 8-10 checkout lanes are not being used at all. This is a GIGANTIC WASTE OF SPACE. So they expect people to use their self checkout. That would be fine except if you go at any type of peak hour like 4-6pm those isles are totally crammed full and there is not enough room to put down your food. What they need to do is REMOVE say 7 of the normal check out lanes to add more space for the self checkout. Expand the self checkout area with more self check machines. And also put in additional table space to put your groceries down. Because if you have a big cart of food, there is not nearly enough table space for each machine. This could be a fantastic store if check out wasn't so irritating. And it's fixable. So they should fix it. read more

Good afternoon to my Yelp Family!!! I visited this Giant for the first time today. I knew about it, but I had forgotten to check it out. I went to the car wash in Broomall and then I went to the Giant. When I arrived at the shopping center, there were hardly no cars in the lot and the Giant sign was gone. Then I remembered, lo and behold, Giant -Broomall had moved. So then I goggled the address and Goggle Maps directed me to 2180 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008. I rode past the Starbucks and the Dunkin Donuts and then I was prompted to make a right turn, where Royal Farms is. I was saying to myself, where is Giant? But I kept riding and there was Giant at the bottom of the hill. You have to go down an incline to see the Giant. The parking lot is huge and there was a LA Fitness right next to Giant. There are quite a few handicapped spaces. I parked and then I hi-tailed it to the store. This store is huge- goodness! You can get lost in there!! Restrooms are down the aisle 14 and they are clean!!!!! Hallelujah!!!!! Then I retrieved my checkout-scanner from the front of the store and then it was on!!!! I found just about everything on the list and the few things I did not find, I asked a manager. Everyone was super nice!!! They have about 10 self-serve checkout counters, it could be more than that!! The way you scan your scanner to check out your items is different than all of the other Giants. The young lady at self-check-out had to be called many times, since she was obviously into her phone and nothing and no one else. Another reviewer of this Giant spoke about this in her review. That was the only negative thing about this Giant. I would have given Giant 5 stars, but because of this inattentive Giant self-checkout clerk, I am only giving 4 stars. Also when I was departing from Giant, I purchased a scratch-off for Mom. Giant has new machines for scratch-offs, lottery numbers, etc. Its user friendly and efficient. An employee had to stand next to me so he could scan his ID to get the machine to stop telling me I had to take an item out of my bag. I asked him if management knew about this problem. He said they did and had called the company responsible for the machines, but no one had come to fix them. Get on the ball. Giant! Call them again!!!!! read more

This is the worst grocery store I have ever visited. I keep trying to go back to see if it improves. The problem is with the self checkout. If you like wasting your precious time, then go here. Every item scanned it called for assistance. Also, as I have read in the past, items have not scanned properly. Luckily I was alerted to this as an item with a coupon did not come off. Location is great and you can tell it's new! They did a great job with COVID safety measures. I normally would rate this five stars but the employees aren't always the friendliest. It's nice they offer the self checkout and scanning option so I do that more frequently especially considering the current situation. It's also nice this one has a beer/wine section! read more

The service at the Meat Department is awful! A few weeks ago I walked up to the counter at 6:55 hoping to order a couple of dry aged steaks. I was told by the kid behind the counter that the were closed. (Closing time is 7:00) That meant no steaks for me! Tonight I go back at 6:30 and the same guy is there. This time he is hosing his area and so I assume no dry aged steaks for me again. However, I notice a few minutes later a couple waiting so I go to the counter and ask if they are open, kid says yes but they are first. He continues with the hose for a while and then eventually helps the people. I did get helped and this time took the effort to see the guy's name is Nick. Apparently Nick is more worried about leaving early than selling the dry aged steaks! read more

I stopped in at this new Giant yesterday for the first time. The store was large (maybe too large) and well-stocked. However few, if any, of the staff and shoppers that I encountered were practicing appropriate social distancing. While at Whole Foods you see lots of staff sanitizing everything during the day, I didn't see any of that or any social distancing signage at this Giant during my visit. Gross and stupid. Came in here to grab some quick items since it was on the way home from my location. I did like the amount of organic items, and their selection of nuts and healthy snack, as it kind of reminded me of Whole Foods, and not all Giants have the wide selection of healthy food items that they did. I would rate the experience higher if it wasn't for the cashier. She was very rude, didn't say hello, and was talking to the bag boy about how much she hates another coworker. Just left the Giant on Rt. 3 , It went down hill fast. Entered at 5.30 The Hot bar was not fully stocked, went to try the salad bar the 3 trays for lettuce were empty and 4 condiment trays. It looked like they were shooting for a whole foods look when they first opened, Once the corporate overseers left it turned into just another Giant. This review is directed toward the deli and bakery departments. (The rest of the store is fine. Better than most chain grocery stores. Very good, pleasant customer service.) I ordered 2 large mini-sandwich trays, a large veggie tray, 2 condiment trays and a half sheet birthday cake. The sandwiches, veggies and condiments were all very fresh and well presented. The cake was tasty and well done as usual. I would absolutely recommend Giant-Broomall for any self-catering needs. They do a great job and the prices are very reasonable. read more

why why why why did the genuardi's near me have to close?! i hate this place more and more every time i visit! i came to pick up some small things. it was a fri afternoon right before labor day weekend and the lines are sooooooooooo loooooooong! come on, it's long weekend....bump up the number of working staff. poor management and no efficiency! the cashier trainer however was really good and patient with customers. i felt bad for her as she was the only one running around doing 50 things at the same time! poor girl read more

I ended up at this Giant supermarket because I needed to go to the pet store next-door. I like this chain of supermarkets because I can take good advantage of the gas discount. However the store starting to show its age a bit. The one in Springfield is much brighter and user-friendly. I didn't see an Olive bar or other amenities that I have seen and other grocery stores. They help here however is very polite and it appeared much less crowded than the other store does on a Sunday morning around 10 o'clock. read more

i had the worst experience i have ever had in a retail store on 2/23/2020. i have had major back problems and have been in bed for 6 weeks. i wanted to venture out and took uber to giant. i shopped and then realized that my cell phone battery had died. i had no way of calling a return uber. i went to customer service and asked if they had a charger or if they could call me a taxi. two associates(incluing an assistant mgr) told me that they had no way of doing this. i had no way of getting home and when i asked what i should do they said they didn't know. i walked round the store for over an hour when a young man nick zeoli who worked in the liquor dept offered to help. that lack on intelligence and compassion from customer service is beyond comprehension. i had no way of getting home. all of my contacts were in my cell phone. shame shame shame on you giant. i live 5 minutes from the store and returned home 3 1/2 hours later. read more

Best Supermarket in the area. One of the best Giants in DelCo.

This Giant in Broomall is the best Giant. Their bakery is better than even standalone bakeries. A wide selection of everything from fresh danish pastries, croissants, bagels, cookies, cakes and breads. I also like their meats/butcher section, deli and produce. This store also has an organic section where I find some of things I need, when I don't have the time to stop at Whole Foods. The store is always clean and the staff is helpful. Way better than other Giants in the area, as well as better than any Acme or Shoprite. I also like that this Giant is open from 6am to 11pm, so you can go at odd hours and avoid crowds. read more

Store has definitely gone downhill. I think they are resting on their laurels, They sell whole bean coffee, but took away the bean grinder. I asked the angry woman at the service desk, and her lame excuse was it kept breaking, and they could not get it repaired. I am sorry, I didn't mean for you guys to spend money on something. What was I thinking! Check their coupon deductions, because I had 2 bucks off 1 item, and it only scanned 1 dollar. Everybody's got a hustle, don't they. I think they take for granted that they are one of the biggest chains in the area. This store is rumored to be moving down by the blue route, but they have not broken ground yet.
