Consistently good selection, wide prepared food choices, nice bakery and produce sections. Compared to their old location, it's like The Linc vs. The Vet. They have sushi and lots of prepared foods as you go in. The bakery has whole wheat rolls and buns, which I don't see often at Acme. The deli has interesting dips and hummus flavors. My wife has gone there via the SEPTA 101 trolley and appreciates the access from the trolley stop for pedestrians. It's much easier and safer than the old location. Visually it's an engaging store. It's well lit and easy to navigate compared to the old store. Prices compare favorably to Giant and Acme. read more

I placed an order at 10:26 AM that was to be filled and delivered between 5 to 7 PM, however, it is now 9:00 PM and I have not received it. I have had to call the store twice since 6:30 PM and now at 9:00 pm I received a call back that it probably wouldn't be delivered until 10:30PM!!!!!! At 7:00 PM I was told that it would be here by 9:00 PM! The "Shop at Home" is the worst! No management over this area! I also was cheated out of my gift card on a prior order. They took the money off the card but didn't apply it to the online purchase, as well as, the order was placed a day in advance, and it still came later than the 2 hour window! read more

Could not do any food shopping because none of the electric wheelchair shopping carts were working. I tried about 6 of them & they were all charging. An associate informed me that they were all outside & just brought in to charge. This is not ok for disabled people. I am a Cherry Hill transplant to the immediate area there is no comparison to other grocers , I use there at home shopping service after a few glitches that were quickly resolved I can only rave over this store ! My family and me are regular customers of the store. Today I have the bad experience. If I could, I vote 0 star. When I drove my car to left, 4 staffs of the store ( cashier, customers service, security officers) run to my car. They told me I didn't pay for the stuffs I purchased. I felt so embarrassed. I showed them my receipt, they said it was not receipt, then I showed them my bank account that they charged show pending. I asked the lady why my bank show they charge me but they said I didn't pay. Then they change the way they told me, they said transaction not go through because cashier turn off computer or something. But how they still charged my bank and gave me receipt and treat me look like a thief. I return all stuffs and want the copy of receipt, the lady feel angry with me and just gave me haft of the receipt. When i ask the full coppy of receipt she left and rule, other lady come and gave me the full receipt when i ask second time. My bank account still show pending for that. That's time i thing i I should call police, I have the receipt, and my bank account showing that transaction. No sorry or anything they say nothing to me for what they did. read more

I have shopped the new and larger Shoprite since it opened in September 2023. Shoprite sells no sugar added and sugar free pastries including blueberry, apple pies, chocolate cookies, and blueberry muffins. I love the Chinese fried noodles and fried chicken from the self service food bar. There is a wide variety of fresh deli meats and cheeses to select from. Shoprite has a wide variety of breads including some of the best bagels I ever ate. read more

If I could rate them zero stars I would. I was there paying for my groceries in the self checkout lane. The man working the section was watching me like a hawk and then came and scanned my items for me because he thought I was stealing. Once I was done at the self check out security came out and checked my cart and my receipt to make sure I was not stealing. I will never go back there. read more

So I was throwing my best friend in Philly a baby shower and I decided to call up her local shop rite bakery to have them create a cake and cupcakes for the event. Not only was it conveniently located but it would save me the time, money and energy of having to design it myself. I called them up and discussed the simple design over the phone with someone specifically in the bakery department. He let me know that he would give my order to the main baker in the morning and have her give me a call the next day to ensure everything could be done. This upset me only because I wasn't asking for anything crazy and I feel like if you're going to be working in the bakery department you should know everything about what you can do but I chalked it up to him potentially being new. Days later after running around, shopping and going crazy I realized I never received a call from anyone about the cake or cupcakes and the shower was the next day. *insert panic attack here* As my sister and I were driving into PA I gave the bakery a call to inquire about my order. The same kid picked up with the response of "oh yeah, she said she tried to call you 3 times and you never answered. She can't make your cake in two layers so she didn't make it at all". *insert furious insane screams here* I tried my hardest not to curse but let the young boy know that by 8:30am the next morning I had better have a cake for this baby shower and even if it had to be in one layer, she had better make it happen. Now I'm not one to get hot headed but God knows I was walking into that shop the next morning with the biggest chip on my shoulder. All in all, the cake and cupcakes came out great and you could see the fear in the kids eyes as I told him my name. Lol. Smh. Either way it came out gorgeous and the party was a hit. Go figure. I order home delivery and picked a time from 5-7pm I called at 7:30 and ask if they were still delivery the order. They said yes sorry for the delay it is on it's way. I said no problem I was just checking It is now 10:06pm and still no delivery. I am furious with them. No phone call, email or text noting but they managed to charge my debit card for the order. Never again it is the way company's handle problems when they occur, this one in Drexel Hill shopping center is horrible. All they had to do is call me instead of me hanging around waiting for 5 hours. Now I have to waste more time tomorrow for them to give me credit for the food that never came. Never again I will go to a Giant before I go shopping there again. Update 5/8/2020 I did not receive any calls about my order that was never delivered last night. That's what I call Great Customer Service, not! I called them this morning at 10:am and explained the situation the girl that picked up the phone apologized and said my food was sitting in the fridge and she did not know why no one took it for delivery but she would get it out to be between 11-1pm. I said that was not going to work for me I get home at 5 can you deliver it at 5pm she said no problem I asked if she would just leave it on the side door at 5 and I will be home by 5:15pm. She said no problem and again I am really sorry. Well guess what it is 6:13pm and no food.again i have owned business and if I screwed something Up i would most defiantly make sure I got it right the second time. Like the saying goes once shame on you twice shame on me. They did offer me free deliver next time I ordered. But unfortunately there will be no next time. I would not put myself through this again. I went to get something quick to eat at the buffet. I've even here before and it was sub par but didn't feel like cooking. While looking over the food items I heard an employee say to another employee he would never eat at the food buffet. It made me think twice so I didn't get anything. As I'm perusing the aisles a very large MOUSE or RAT ran across the aisle under the next aisle. I was frightened and wanted to just get out of there. With my bag of Doritos in hand I told the lady at the checkout stand about the vermin and she said someone else just told her the same thing. Being new to the area, I'm a ShopRite fan. Don't get me wrong it's no Market Basket but they are much closer than driving back to Boston to food shop. This was my first time in this particular location. I was picking up my husbands favorite pie from them, the Dutch Apple. Something looked very odd about it, they all looked like they had peanut halves (I have an allergy) on the top. I asked at the bakery counter and was told it was Dutch Apple. My gosh, thank you, I can read and can gasp even bake. I nicely explained that there looks like there are peanuts in the crumbs, again I was told it was Dutch Apple. I asked him to take a look at it and he wouldn't. I did buy it out of curiosity, I wasn't going to eat it though. My husband said it was awful and as far as the peanut looking things whatever it was-was extremely over-cooked/burned. read more

FYI - I'm a loyal Shop Rite shopper as its my opinion that they give the best quality for the price. I typically shop at the store off Columbus Blvd but was staying in the Philly suburbs and so found this one. Fruit selection was good, store was clean with a good variety of other products. Can't really comment on their prices as I only bought hot dog rolls, which was on sale for $1 per pack of 8. What impressed me most was that they had beer for sale in the store!! Given that PA residents are forced to live under 18th century alcohol regulations, I was very surprised to see beer on sale there. Nice addition. read more

After living in the supermarket waste land that is Philadelphia, being able to go to a 24-hour grocery store that has great selection (unlike the supermarkets in Fishtown and NoLibs) and reasonably-priced beer* fills me with joy. *Reasonably-priced for PA... which means unreasonably priced for every other state in the union. read more

The phone was picked up on the first ring by an actual person and she literally jogged through the store to look for an item for me and get back to the phone to let me know as soon as possible. My husband and I come here to grocery shop 98% of the time. They have a decent variety, the store is organized and clean and the check out lines aren't as bad as wal-mart. A few months ago, I decided to make the decision to go vegan. The thought of buying food was taunting at first. However, Shop Rite surprisingly has a lot of stuff that vegans can eat! A good percentage of the products that I would want or am looking for, Shop Rite has. For this, I am grateful. It made my transition so much easier. Also, you can always find great deals. There is always a sale going on. For example, my vegan chips that I purchase, are usually 2 for $3.00 give or take. Plus, you can ask the cashier if you can use their store card and it will save you some money. The only reason why I didn't give Shop Rite a full 5 stars is because the parking lot is still such a pain in the ass. The parking lot is quite small and can get confusing with the signs. Customers constantly drive the opposite of where the signs tell you to go to get out of the parking lot. I am shocked that there has not been more accidents here. In all, my husband and I will be shopping here again. It's convenient to where we love and does its job. read more

This review is mostly about the Drexeline Catering section of the market. I was a frequent Drexeline shopper a few years ago when in grad school. I would try to go later in the evening when the food would be marked down. I don't know if they still do that now. The convenience hot food quality has declined since ShopRite took over. Before when it was Fresh Grocer it was 95% successful. Now I feel like it's any other supermarket convenience section. I first went there on a Monday morning and was reminded of the Drexeline I remembered; I got a large salmon platter with grilled vegetables (asparagus, squash, and zucchini). I paid around $18-20 and it was flawless. Very well-seasoned. Good portion, feed me and my husband for 2 meals. Of course I went back. Now I'm pregnant with a sinus infection for the past month. If anyone suggests that I cook, I sneeze on them. I looked to Drexeline ShopRite to save me. Well.. It was disappointing. I went there after work around 7 on Monday. Picked up the prepacked sesame chicken and baked and breaded chicken breast with mixed vegetables for lunch. Then I chose some salmon, breaded tilpia and yams/apples from the fresh and hot section for that night's dinner. I am now currently choking on a "fresh made" prepackaged sesame chicken. The chicken was definitely over cooked and has turned to rubber. The hot section food was bland and not seasoned at all. The salmon tasted like it just has paprika on it for color. The tilapia has turned to rubber not even seasoned. The same for the breaded chicken breast; bland. The only thing I would return for it the vegetables and yam and apples. The market itself is a step up from Fresh Grocer. ShopRite at least sweeps, mops and buffs the floors. The food looks like it's not cans that have been hanging around for a decade. You can see where you are going and it doesn't feel like a horror movie with the buzzing odd colored lights. I am disappointed that they kept the Fresh Grocer layout with the tight aisles and awkward design. The staff are very nice and an improvement from Fresh Grocer. In the hot food section one person actually offered to serve me soup. Staff in hot foods were constantly checking on the food, cleaning and turning the food. I should have just asked them for suggestions. My prayer is that the cook is on vacation this week. I honestly will return because I am chasing a dream and they now have a 50% success rate. Also I desperate and need a home cooked meal. Donations are appreciated. read more

Very small selection, poor lighting, and the worst part of all - the produce section always has a very strange smell. UGH. I can't buy food in a store that smells weird, sorry. The location is convenient so if we need just one or two things (like ice cream at midnight maybe....for a friend...) then we'll run in here, but there are far better grocery stores in the area for the regular weekly trips. So I've been going to this shoprite for years, and I do honestly appreciate the hard working people there. They are always very helpful and friendly. And I've kept going all these years because, despite a not very large range of options, the prices are good and the meat and produce have always been good quality. But lately I've noted a real downturn in quality. I know the pandemic affects supply chains obviously. But this is maybe the fourth time my produce has gone rotten in the span of 2 days. I've also purchased lunch meat and pork, several times, that went bad quickly. And this week I spent 9$ on ground meat that was literally gray after 3 days in a frig. Honestly I don't want to stand in the customer service line, during a pandemic, to get a refund. And maybe they would have refunded my money happily. But, after several chances, I think it's time to find somewhere else to grocery shop. read more

This Shoprite is okay. Just OK. I was only in there for a few minutes so I couldn't really get a good feel for it. It does seems a bit less modern, more old fashion that the rest of the Shoprite supermarkets I have shopped. The prices are higher for some items than my regular Shoprite, but the tax is also cheaper here. The employees were nice and it wasn't crowded but I did go late and it is open 24 hours, which is a plus. read more

The customer service told me there was no way I could speak to a manager because he was unloading a truck and wasn't coming up for this !!!The rotisserie chicken I've bought was undercooked on 3 occasions .The cashier watched me bag my own groceries while he stood there never even attempting to help .
