I found "The Garden School" by chance via a recommendation in the Beverly Facebook group. There's a…read morefarm stand at the entrance selling apples, zucchini, and kale among other fruits and veggies. Further up the dirt path is a huge vegetable and flower garden. Visitors are encouraged to explore the garden using the clover paths. My first trip to the Garden School was during their Friday garden happy hour. On select Fridays, you can stop by with booze in hand as this event is BYOB and explore the gardens at your leisure. The school is managed by two brothers and much of the work here is undertaken by volunteers. Make sure to support your local farmers! Oh, and there's plenty of parking in the lot! The Garden School is designed for young adults and teenagers to come and learn farming in real time within their own community. The farm stand teaches youth about business, interaction with the public, selling produce and flowers and customer service. They can also learn how to run a small farm. Working just a few hours per week, one can gain valuable hands-on experience on a real community garden/farm working whatever aspect they choose or they could learn the entire operation. Jon and Ben who run the Garden School are fantastic and patient teachers who love working with our youth and love what they are doing providing a valuable service to this community. The Farm Stand is a great alternative to mass made/chemistry laden produce. This is a place to buy truly fresh picked (that morning or maybe right then as you are buying) produce and flowers grown the all natural way like you would do in your own backyard garden. You can See, Smell and Taste the difference and it cannot get any fresher! Check out my photos and you will see what I am talking about. This is my go to place to volunteer. It is outdoors in the fresh air and it is an absolutely wonderful group of people and an outstanding garden and food stand.

It is located on a cool road. Before you reach the farm, you come across historical landmarks. The farm is a good place for little ones. It has a petting and feeding area. A nice playground and a you pick area. It also had an area with flowers. Inside the store is found vegetables and fruits, both fresh and preserved. It had some other items like seasonings, candles, candy, and baked goods, I got something sweet called stop the .... I don't remember the third word, but it got my attention. It tasted like a well-made apple butter. I liked it. The cinnamon bread was a little on the dry side. I can see why it would be good for French Toast. I found the service nice. The young ladies working the counter were helpful. Cool farm to visit.

Storytimes, playground with views of the animals, a hayride, and more! I highly recommend the storytime. They read 2 stories, sang hello to every child, had songs/rhymes, played with a parachute, crafts, and even apples, donuts, and cider - all amazingly free!!! The playground was fun for my 2 year old son and 7 year old daughter, but best for the 1.5-6 age range. There are rest rooms beside the farm store, but they're medal toilets with no seats, so my daughter refused to use them. (I don't blame her.) That's the only thing that kept this from a 5 star experience. We'll be back soon. Worth the hour drive from where we live on the south shore.

The workers in the farm area weren't helpful and actually led us in the wrong direction for the tractor ride and we missed it and didn't get to ride it. The food was pretty expensive as well (have to order in the store). I'd try it again, but not in the off season as it's not worth the price.

When we went to the front desk, I showed them the $80 transaction proving I had just paid for four admissions. But here's the part that is genuinely unbelievable: the front desk employee said, verbatim, "Yes, I remember you got four tickets, and I watched you put it on him." So there was literally no dispute. Their own employee confirmed that I paid for my son's admission AND that she personally watched me put his wristband on him. A man was then called over and, despite hearing this, repeatedly told me that because my two-year-old no longer had his wristband, I hadn't purchased his admission. I kept explaining that I had. I showed him the payment. His own employee told him I had. He kicked my entire family out anyway. They told me they processed a full refund, which I will update this review to confirm once it appears on my card. I can understand having a wristband policy. I cannot understand accusing a customer of not paying when you have both proof of payment AND an employee standing there confirming she personally watched the wristband go onto the child's wrist. Absolutely appalling way to treat a family over a two-year-old losing a wristband. We will never return. This is the guy who clearly has an ax to grind with a two year old. I'd be careful with this place- clearly a scam.
