Searching on Yelp while staying at Richmond area, I was excited to visit Richmond Public Market, a…read moreno-frills, old-school Asian market + food court, this public market does need some renovations, could tell that this is the original public market, the parking is available but keep in mind stalls are narrow. The washrooms are available ( thank goodness) but not in the greatest condition. There are 2 levels to Richmond's Public Market, The ground floor has the market of fresh produce, seafood, meats, herbs, gifts, electronics, flowers, set up like a Chinese outdoor market . Although I never get to check out the ground level during both visit since we were here early and not open yet. But my favorite is the 2nd level, this is where the foodies will reunite, the food court, So many Asian foodies selection, from Szechuan, Taiwanese, noodles, dumplings, boba tea, even Vietnamese too, there's too many to list. The reason I made a stop here twice was for Hei Hei rice rolls, which I am pretty sure If you know, you know. I grab from 2 other shops here. Tables were provided which I was able to enjoy our rice rolls and also got take out for later. * cash only, since credit cards are not accepted, we used the ATM to take out some cash/CAD but the fees were ridiculous, better to be prepared next time and exchange $$ upon arrival to Richmond, BC. Great nostalgic place (30+ years) to visit, don't judge by the looks of it. Now extended hours and open until 8:00 pm!

This is like another Granville Market but in North Vancouver. Honestly, we were really surprised at…read morethe lack of everything here. It seemed pretty dead and half the place was empty. Not that many food stalls and things to see. Though it's easy to come here then catch the seabus back to downtown Vancouver. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

They had so many cute stalls, it was a great place to do some Christmas shopping as well. They also had soooo many food options!! it was amazing. The entry was free which makes it even better. Also the location, it's right on the lonsdale station which is very transit friendly! We went on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't too crowded but I've heard some people say it gets pretty busy on weekends. I would definitely go again next year!

We really enjoyed the day at The Shipyards, meandering through all the cute cabin booths, listening to live music, watching the juggler and even standing in lines! Our group enjoyed lunch at Seafood Provisions patio, getting mulled wine, candied walnuts, and then we stood in line, with a mulled wine for warmth and to make the wait a bit better, for a world famous whole haxen to go to enjoy at home after a fun day of Christmas joy with some beer made from honey next door, though the half orders looked delicious too from @haxen_haus. If you would like an easy going, friend, family and/or dog friendly free entry event where you can also ice skate for free if you bring your own skates and get into the holiday spirit, I really cannot recommend this Christmas Market more. Only wish I had more time to try more yummy food like the raclette and bratwurst!
