Time Out Market is a great option if you're visiting Vancouver with a group or just can't decide what you're craving. We decided on Heritage and DownLow Chicken, two well-known local restaurants that now have locations inside the market. Heritage is known for its modern Chinese comfort food and barbecue, while DownLow Chicken has built a reputation in Vancouver for its Nashville hot chicken. It was nice being able to try both without traveling across the city. Both were solid choices. The biggest advantage of Time Out Market is the variety. Everyone in your group can order from a different restaurant and still eat together, which isn't always easy to find. The tradeoff is that you'll probably spend some time waiting if you're ordering from the busiest kitchens. If you're planning to visit, I'd recommend going a little earlier than the main dinner rush to avoid the longest lines and make it easier to find a table. We went on a Friday afternoon around 2pm and still had trouble finding a table to sit. It's a fun spot whether you're a local introducing friends to Vancouver favorites or a visitor wanting to sample several restaurants in one stop.

Attended on opening day as Number One customer. Dedicated eh?! . What a wonderful experience at Time Out Market Vancouver, truly! We were lucky enough to be first guests through the doors, and the excitement was palpable from the moment we walked in. The energy, the atmosphere, and the incredible lineup of food vendors made for a memorable visit. A very special thank you to Julien, John, and Rafael for your warm hospitality and for taking the time to welcome us. Your generosity, and in what you've planned and created truly stood out, and made us feel very special. Really very thankful for the food and drinks. Congratulations to the team and is a must visit to Vancouver. It's exciting to see so many talented Canadian chefs and food concepts gathered in one place. We enjoyed exploring the market and can't wait to return. Wishing you continued success as Time Out Market becomes one of Vancouver's must-visit destinations

I'd been curious about this place ever since it opened but didn't care to go right away as I was sure it would be crowded. Preferred to wait until the hype died down. Also, FIFA happened so...figured it might also be a good idea to wait until the World Cup games were over so as not to have to deal with World Cup traffic. We came here for lunch one day after the World Cup games ended. Wow...very quiet and empty mall. Kinda not surprising when the majority of the stores are designer stores. Scary to think that shops like Aritzia and Lululemon are considered to be among the more affordable stores. Normally, we think of those stores as being very expensive; however, at Oakridge Park, those two stores are affordable next to the likes of Prada, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Ferragamo and Dolce & Gabbana! Time Out Market Food Hall is basically the only reason we'd come here, and probably the only reason most people would come here. Don't know how this mall is gonna survive. How many people in this day and age can afford to shop at those designer stores?! Oh...saw a sign that Safeway will eventually be opening up in the mall. Maybe that will generate more traffic. Or...maybe people will start filming TV shows and movies here. Maybe they'll manage to make money from the film industry. They do have some very aesthetic decor in the mall. The wooden seating area is quite eye catching. Well, on to the food. Hubby ordered some rice with soya chicken and bbq duck from Heritage Asian Eatery. My daughter and I ordered pasta from Pasta E Basta which is by the Ask For Luigi people. She had a Vongole Pasta and I had Alla Vodka. Most expensive food court meal we've ever had but also the most refined food court meal we've ever had. They serve food on proper ceramic plates here, and give you metal utensils. No disposable utensils like in regular food courts. Each stall gives you a pager that lights up and vibrates when your food is ready. There are lots of interesting options here. Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Burgers, Baked goods, Donuts, Bubble Tea, Fried Chicken and more. We bought some drinks from Boba Run after finishing our food. Earl Grey Milk Tea, Hong Kong Style Milk Tea and Brown Sugar Hojicha Milk Tea with Coconut Jelly. Food was all good and we were very impressed with the flavors of our drinks. A very interesting experience. One of the benefits of dining in any food court is that there are multiple options for people to choose from. One person might feel like Japanese, another like burgers and another like Taiwanese food. In a regular food court this might lead to Edo, A&W, and Bubble Waffle Cafe. Time Out Market Food Hall is a more refined and elevated version of that. Feels kinda weird to spend so much money in a food court but then again, it's not your average, run of the mill food court. I quite liked the experience. The food is great for when people are in the mood to treat themselves to fancier food, and yet it's in a casual setting where people can choose different options for themselves and...no pressure to leave a tip. If we were to dine out in one of the actual restaurants, say...Kishimoto for example, which was one of the stalls at Time Out, there's a good chance we'd wanna drive somewhere for a bubble tea afterwards cuz we're big fans of bubble tea. At the Time Out Market Food Hall, we can get that all in one place. Eat food from Kishimoto and then just a few steps away, grab bubble tea from Boba Run. This is a food court experience unlike any other we've had. I would happily come here again but it's not something I'd do very often. Prices being what they are, this is a once in awhile "treat" place for us to dine at. Glad at least that there's 3 hour free parking at this mall.

the first challenge is parking. even before stepping inside oakridge, you're circling, following signs, hunting for a spot, already feeling the tension rise. finding time out market is its own mini quest. tucked among storefronts, the entrance isn't obvious. you weave through the mall, scanning for signs, trying not to miss it entirely. once you locate it, the smell hits you, smoky bbq, fresh herbs, sweet pastries, all competing for attention. inside, the chaos intensifies. lines twist and turn, no clear start or end in sight. the burger line snakes around corners, the seafood stalls are crowded, and the bbq duck glistening with rich, dark, crispy skin draws a long, eager line of people. you hesitate, trying to gauge which line moves fastest while others jostle past. communal tables and booths are shared with strangers, and seating is scarce. even with a friend, coordination is a tactical exercise: who grabs the line, who hunts for an open table, and where exactly to meet. texts fly, directions overlap, confusion mounts. bright lights, clattering dishes, murmurs, laughter, and the constant shuffle of people create a sensory storm. walking, choosing, waiting, scanning for a place to sit, the energy is relentless. the excitement of so many local flavours is real, but navigating the crowd, the lines, and the limited seating can feel overwhelming. time out market is a vibrant showcase of the city's food scene, but for the indecisive, hangry, or first time visitor, it's an obstacle course: a mix of strategy, patience, and persistence amid the delicious chaos.

Attended on Opening Day...definitely was not the greatest idea. Parking was extremely challenging and the crowds were crazy huge. Walked around and...as hour long waits just to order and no available seating, decided to depart and attempt a return another day. Think the concept is great...just need a larger seating area.

This food court's concept was new for me and I thought that it was really neat! There are different kiosks that offer cuisines from around the world. I tried Mee Bar (Cambodian food) and MaKaam (Thai food) with my friend. The dishes were very nicely played and the quality was quite good. It was on the pricier side, but I think it's worth the experience! I really liked the mee kola from Mee Bar.

It's great to see lots of local food options here! We waited in line to enter (though they let in large groups at a time), waited a bit for a table, (for popular spots like lunch lady some of us had to wait in line to order), and then waited for the food so overall a lot of patience is required! The lamb popsicles from Peacock were delicious. They blast the music inside and it's still crowded on the weekend 1 week after opening, so this might be a bit overwhelming to some people.

The DownLow Chicken shop at TimeOut is great. We had a Vegan chicken burger and a lemonade. Good food and very attentive service!

It's not trying to be a tra-la-la oasis in the city; rather, is straight-up located in the hub of a busy commuter zone in the middle of the workweek. Genius. There's something so very special about this one. It could be that I run into someone I know each time I go, but everything just tastes a little bit better when I buy it from here. Buying local just feels s'damn good.
