Both arrived at the accident scene within 30 minutes of our insurance contacting them. She was at a loss for transportation to the rental car company, and the owner graciously provided her a ride to the airport in Columbus, Ohio to get her rental. He then provided her with additional information about where her car was going and covering the process of getting the car to the repair facility. He told her was very familiar with the body shop stating they do excellent work. Additionally, The owner was out on personal business and responded with his driver to help, I cannot say enough about him and his business as it also represents contributing to research and cures for cancer. We (my mom and 2 young sons) waited about an hour on a Sat evening and Tim arrived. He was there about an hour trying to figure out what to do because although there was a space in my purchased new in 2020 Toyota Sienna THERE WAS NO SPARE TIRE! We were 2 hours from home in the middle of nowhere. Only 2 people can ride in tow truck if called- that wouldn't work. I knew no one in the area. Next thing I knew Tim had his OWN spare tire from HIS Toyota SUV and was trying it on my van. It worked!!!! He kindly said he would follow us home and swap back the tires. He would obviously miss 4 hours of work. He said there's no way he was leaving me stranded with my mom and 2 little kids or have me pay for Uber. I can't not believe the level of self sacrifice and kindness to strangers. I had to stop at first exit after leaving when I asked if I could return his tire when I got home/had it repaired. He was someone worried about us but I told him I'd let him know when we got home safely. I called when we arrived home and we chatted a bit. What an incredible person. A million stars for him. And to add insult to injury, the tow man called the Gahanna location of the restaurant, but you're towing a vehicle from downtown Columbus, does that make sense, NO! SHAMROCK TOWING company is a big SCAM! People do not come downtown to park illegal to be towed! DON'T LIE ABOUT COMING INSIDE A RESTAURANT! When a young kid is in that situation, a little compassion goes a long way. We went to the lot the next day to finish clearing the car. The lady in the office answered our questions and the gentleman that accompanied us to the car reminded us to get the plate (he even removed it for us). Being that we were in a horrible situation with an accident and the car likely being totaled, every Shamrock employee we encountered made it a little better by being friendly and helpful.
