Apparently there was another one here before which i never heard about. Its a hole in the wall, but the two women were very nice and friendly, and spoke English. You choose from the steam table and get your tacos. I ordered pastor on corn. They offered rice, but rice doesn't belong on tacos so I declined. The tacos were bare bones and spartan. I was tired and I was hungry or I would have asked for what i assumed would come anyway, cilantro and onions. So you will have to ask. The pastor was crazy good, tender meat and rich spicy sauce. The red and green hot sauces that come with are some of the hottest i have had around here. The tortillas are very small, which is good news if you are watching your carbs. A little over $2 a taco. Mot bad. Going to swing by for their breakfast tacos next week.

The tortilla was a homemade flour tortilla. You can add rice and beans to your taco at no extra charge. The green salsa was really good only a few places including Jessies taqueria, have spicy and delicious green salsa. For $5 dollars I had a cheap and filling lunch. That's a win in my book any day. The flavor in the steak is unparalleled and the texture is very crispy! I haven't explored the other menu options but I can't imagine there's anything more glorious than the Taco Plate with steak (haha). The best time to go is probably around 1 pm when everyone is still in class so you miss the lunch "rush hour" (~10 min waiting time). If you go right at 12 pm, expect a 20-minute waiting time minimum! I will say it's a tad pricy (~$11 including tax) but you can use your dining dollars and it's a nice treat, especially after doing well on a test :). Additionally, the food is a little oily so make sure you're not wearing a suit or nice clothes, although they do have napkins. Lastly, there are usually plenty of seats in the quad area surrounding Zach. It can get hot in the summer, especially at noon, so be sure to bring a hat! Personally, my favorite time to go is in the Fall when the temperature drops and the breeze picks up: it's very wholesome sitting on the quad while a light zephyr keeps you company as you contemplate the meaning of life.

She complained to every person who ordered, so when you stood in line for 30 minutes, you got to hear it PLENTY of times. Really ruined the vibe. When we finally got our food (wait was long, but we are used to that with food trucks), I was seriously disappointed that instead of the beef I asked for in my nachos, I was given ground turkey. Not cool. That is something you definitely can't switch out and hope people don't notice. The nachos ended up having absolutely no flavor. Tacos were also very greasy. Food trucks on campus are a great idea, but I expect decent food for the price!

We called and they asked to check and call us back. They quickly called back, they owned the mistake and brought the missing item right out. I even listed every specific ingredient in my order to verify that it was mine, yet I was still treated as though I was trying to fraudulently claim someone else's food. To make matters worse, there were three young employees in the back goofing around and throwing things around inside the food truck while this was happening. The entire experience felt disrespectful, disorganized, and extremely unprofessional. There are much better ways to verify a customer's order without treating them like they're trying to steal it.

This was such a case. First of all the name is actually Taqueria Amigos, not Amigos Taqueria (learn how Spanish works, people). I mention this if you are trying to Google Map your way here (you can drive past it easily). Located in a sketchy convenience store, T-Amigos was packed at lunch today. There is a steam table full of things you have to ask about. I had two tacos with brisket, cilantro, onion, on corn. The tacos do NOT come double wrapped as they make their own VERY high quality corn tortillas here, so double wrapping is unnecessary. The meat probably should have been crisped a little but it was very flavorful. The red sauce is blow your head off hot, and the green is fresh and clearly laden with tomatillo verde. If the menu is accurate, they have two things that are very rare in BCS: mole, which I haven't seen anywhere in town, and pozole, which I am still looking for. Really looking forward to exploring this place in detail. The very nice lady spoke English fine, though I ordered in Spanish, and you may wish to as well. At $2.50 each, the tacos were rock bottom diet cheap...unless you are homeless, and then I can see you thinking these are pricey.
