I discovered, as I was preparing to replace the master cylinder, I had noticed the cover panel under the hood of my Lexus IS250 had a very distinctive crack. When I returned to the shop I mentioned this to the service representative. To shorten the story Big O made it right. They ordered a replacement part. In July, 1991, we decided to incorporate our business, changing the name to Earth Mover Tire Sales, Inc. We serviced many local businesses and had five employees and service trucks. In 1993, we opened a small retail store in Miami, AZ. Initially a scary step, it went very well and we were very busy. We increased our tire line and sold all sizes of tires from passenger, light truck and SUV, medium truck, OTR, farm, and ATV, along with wheels and accessories. With the expansion of our tire line, we needed more space, so in 1995 we moved up the street in Miami, AZ to a larger, six-bay shop with more work and warehouse space, as well as a showroom and offices. We got a free car, it has lots of problems, we took it in for an inspection and to get the first…read more$500 worth of work done. One of the items they identified was the old serpentine belt wrapped around the axle. Apparently it was too much work for them to pull it off because it's still there. They replaced the valve cover gasket, did an oil change and replaced the existing belts. There is lots more to get done including the timing belt. My son called back to get a price for all the parts and labor which was almost $300 more than the next shop we called in the area. I am not saying they are a bad shop, but these few issues plus some communication problems will make me think twice.
