If you have a diesel truck, look elsewhere. They couldn't fix my Ford F350 Heavy Duty.

I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.

I am so excited to have found such a fair, honest and convenient mechanic! Tanner was excellent in…read morehis communication, fairly priced, and went above and beyond to even put gas in my car while test driving it. He gave recommendations based on other things he noticed and sent me an estimate for those services right away. He provided video of the issue, receipts and an invoice itemizing work performed right away. Communicating via text was so helpful as I was coordinating the repairs while working, and he made everything so seamless! I will definitely be using Tapia Auto for all my needs going forward!

This comment is in response to MeIanie H. from Las Vegas, I messaged Melanie about her review and…read moreasked that she provide yelp readers with all of the facts about her visit to Gila Muffler. The most relevant detail she left out is that it was actually her people who purchased and had the motor shipped, any delay was a result of the purchase made by the vans owner. When the motor arrived later than expected, Melanie expected the shop to install it in one day, her personal timeline was her first priority, with no regard for the work that goes into installing and testing a used motor installation. In her review she starts by complaining about the condition of the office and the people in it. Yet when I asked her about this, she said she never mentioned that, we see in another review that she did. She doesn't mention that she was not the one traveling in the van for business when it broke down, she was actually called by a family member asking her to go to Arizona to pick up the van. She expressed great irritation about having to take the time to come to Arizona to pick up the van. Melanie was already irritated about having to come to Arizona to pick up the van, spend time in stinky shop, angry that the motor shipped later than expected causing a delay in the van being ready (totally out of the shops control,) she gets more upset when she has to get hotel an stay a couple more days. When the motor finally gets to the shop, she is at the end of her rope, she doesn't care that it was not the shops fault the motor arrived late, she is mad and she is taking it out on whoever is around, which was the shops employees. This might explain why the employees at the shop were short with her. In another review of the shop, she scoffs about the mechanics saying they needed more time to be thorough, she didn't allow mechanics that time, just one day and she took the van. What do you get when a mechanic says they need time be thorough and you don't allow it? You end up "broke down having to rent another van to finish your job. Melanie's review doesn't give any pertinent details about the actual repair, she doesn't say it was "USED" motor purchased by the van owner, she doesn't say that there was a delay in the motor being shipped, she doesn't mention she wasn't traveling in the van when it broke, she doesn't mention that she was already mad because she was called by family members to pick up a van that wasn't hers. There is more deception that truth to Melanie H.'s review. I have asked her to either include important details or remove the review, she has not responded after I asked her to be more truthful.

Before we opened…read moreour first store, we were R & R Tire Sales and Repair from 1987 to 1991, running a tire sales business from our residence. Bebe ran the business while Liz worked at one of our local mines. We were mainly commercial and OTR sales and did field tire service work. In July, 1991, we decided to incorporate our business, changing the name to Earth Mover Tire Sales, Inc. We serviced many local businesses and had five employees and service trucks. In 1993, we opened a small retail store in Miami, AZ. Initially a scary step, it went very well and we were very busy. We increased our tire line and sold all sizes of tires from passenger, light truck and SUV, medium truck, OTR, farm, and ATV, along with wheels and accessories. With the expansion of our tire line, we needed more space, so in 1995 we moved up the street in Miami, AZ to a larger, six-bay shop with more work and warehouse space, as well as a showroom and offices. This remains our main location now. We opened a commercial-based store in 1997 at 3250 North Main St. in Snowflake, AZ. Jim Muzrall manages the store, which sells all sizes of tires and wheels. Our third location, on Highway 60-70 in Globe, AZ, opened in 2000. We recently moved to a bigger shop, located at 491 North Broad St. in downtown Globe. At this shop, we do auto mechanic repairs and service along with all your tire needs...
