Absolutely awful experience going to this school! I was going to this school, and one of my PE…read moreteachers got so angry, that the PE teacher threw a hockey stick, hit someone, and threw a hockey puck and almost hit me (we were supposed to be doing floor hockey and the PE teacher was not fired from this and the office decided to hide it and to deny all of it). Another thing is that there is still no leadership coming from the students and staff. Another example of this is if you are not white or Mormon, you are going to feel like you are not included and everyone is going to shun you out. Also, my friend got targeted by the staff all because of him being Christian, not Mormon. He kicked something in the hallway accidentally, and it hit a teacher's foot, and then he had to go to Ms. Huso's office, when the teacher said that the thing that he accidentally kicked hit the teacher's head. Ms. Huso even looked at the footage of the camera's in the school, and it clearly showed that it didn't hit the teacher in the head. Yet, Ms. Huso thought so, so she gave him detention anyway. Most of the safety and discrimination concerns was because of Ms. Huso too, which she doesn't care about your safety if you aren't Mormon or white. My parents tried talking to her, and she tried to avoid everything that I've mentioned, and she doesn't care about your safety either. Although, the elementary school for ALA Gilbert North is incredible at putting safety first. If you are on the waitlist or you are trying to get into the highschool for ALA Gilbert North, it's not worth it. ALA Gilbert North Highschool needs to improve on caring more about student's safety no matter what race, or religion their in, which also makes me mention that the school needs to work on to have absolutely no discrimination that any student or staff should be dealing with in the first place.

It's a 100 dollars for any elective, not to mention the fact that it is 3 dollars for a cosmic brownie in the cafeteria. Most of the food there is in some way concerning. Rather than fixing it they have icecream. I falling behind in classes because I can't have more than à day to grasp à new concept. The interior of the building feels depressing. In all my years of being here I have not heard anyone wanting to be there. Everyone hates it there do not send your kid here.

This review reflects our experience at the Val Vista campus only and is specific to the current…read moreadministration there: We enrolled believing a small, faith-based school would provide stronger leadership, accountability, and a more protected learning environment than public options. That was not our experience. Beneath the polished tours and Christian branding, leadership at this campus proved ineffective, dismissive, and unwilling to meaningfully address serious concerns raised by families. Many parents are drawn to a Christian school hoping to shield children from age-inappropriate influences; ironically, in our personal experience, our children were exposed to more inappropriate language and behavior here than they had been in a Chandler public school, with limited administrative response. Administration frequently emphasized high demand to attend, yet from our firsthand experience and conversations with other parents, just as many families appeared to be leaving. Academic quality and classroom professionalism raised serious questions about how teachers are hired, their qualifications, and why turnover seemed high. Tuition and a Christian label do not automatically guarantee a better education, stronger values, or responsible leadership. This review is shared in good faith to encourage families to look beyond appearances and ask direct questions about leadership accountability, discipline policies, teacher hiring practices, and retention before enrolling.

Can't speak highly enough about GC. We prayed for the right place for our daughter to attend…read moreschool. After a couple years of homeschooling we knew it was time for her to go back to in person . Best decision ever to enroll her at Gilbert Christian. She comes home everyday always talking about how good her day was. She loves her teachers and has made great friendships. Being able to have her attend school and have the freedom to speak about her beliefs is amazing. What's more amazing is the partnership we have with the staff and that they intentionally pray for the kids, teach truth in love and want Gods best for them all. Truly blessed to be a part of Gilbert Christian! So happy we said yes!

Agreed with the worst school. More so on the principal aspect, she doesn't tell you the full truth…read moreon what's happening, especially when it comes to bullying. I would be told what she wanted me to hear and not the full truth. It was like playing a game of cat and mouse trying to chase the truth. like the principal would tell two different stories to cover up what's really going on. Carlson told me that my child wasn't fit for this school and that they wouldn't pass to the next grade, as well as a couple teachers told my child they "were dumb, and wouldn't pass" making it a difficult year. The bullying is horrible there and nothing is ever done to stop it. They only punish one kid, and not the party of kids that gang up on a single student. The administration and staff are just as bad when it comes to talking to the children, they are just mean and hurtful. Never in my wildest dreams would I want my kid to come home crying or not wanting to go back to school because of the way they are treated at a school. My 3rd grader at the time didn't feel accepted while attending Ashland ranch. All due to staff (certain teachers), administrators and select student who bully. We attended for only two years on open enrollment only to be let down and pushed out. Like they pick a students name out of a hat and that's the kid to pick on for the year. I couldn't have been more angry and upset with the way situations are handled for students to parents through principal Carlson.
