When I came into the store last week, I was viscously accosted by new appearing employee Otto who…read morecame running out of nowhere to scream, "I saw you on the cameras!" repeating it as his main assertion and privacy violation for a regular shopper who has spent thousands there over the past several years. "You were spraying the primer spray paint on the floor!" Mom and I were taken aback and he looked infuriated, seething and staring at me menacingly, then sneering. I observed his red eyes which I told him was because he was an angry man. I told him never was a warning given, my Mom added no note was there to indicate not to. She told him, perhaps next time you can give her a piece of cardboard to spray on so she knows the nozzle is working. He agreed verbally to do this next time. I told him that not even one time did I not purchase one of those cans which happened to be working. Last year, I had one or two returns when some nozzles were not at a critical time. Mom and I were very upset by his hostile encounter, she was indignant and outraged that he didn't ask politely but confronted me in such an abusive manner, and we shopped for the next cans of primer at Walmart where we observed other testers had made a sea of marks on the floor also testing them out. Instead of the agreement made by Otto, the store violated me again as I walked in the store today and was called out by the female manager Mikki at the register. She also repeated, "you were caught on camera!" angrily. She said I sprayed spray paint on the floor and was not allowed in the store anymore. She added, the police would be called. I promptly called the national number to report the situation and let her know a lawsuit of rights violation would be submitted along with this negative review. Not even one warning was given. Otto provided one and we agreed to abide by it. Otto also agreed to provide a piece of cardboard next time and did not hold to his arrangement to provide further neglect of duty. This goes along with inappropriate interactions with the customer and lack of being the friendly neighborhood hardware folks they used to pose as. They were inconsistent and did not stand behind their own agreements to violate the business-customer rules. I will upload a snippet of my lawsuit when finished where my rights were violated and I was lied to. This Ace should pay for my gas as I'm forced to go to the downtown Ace Hardware and I should be allowed to shop at the local hardware store convenient for me.

On entering, someone greets you and asks if you need help, and even if you don't it's not hard to find someone to help when you need it. Lot's of knowledgeable people. I've gone in many times to find supplies for my often quirky projects and there is always someone with helpful advice.

When the snow came this winter went to use the unit that had been tuned for the season by Roys and it froze up. Roys forgot to refill the engine with oil. The engine locked up and is ruined. They refuse to make it right. They gave us an older lesser model that's not equivalent and it doesn't even work. At home snowed in with zero snow removing capabilities after spending thousands on a new machine and regularly having it serviced at Roys. Don't go spend your money there. Yes everyone makes mistakes but good companies are defined how they recover from them and they aren't trying to make this right. Still no snow blower, still snowed in. This company isn't the same as it's reputation leads you to believe.

Lowes credit card holders can't trust Lowes to keep their account information safe and warn them…read moreabout scams. This became apparent after I became a victim of a fake Lowes customer survey scam that ripped me off for $95. The scam was in the form of an email apparently from Lowes which asked me to fill out a survey. As an incentive, I'd be given a chance to receive a free 100 piece Cobalt Tool Set. The email seemed legitimate: the originating address made it seem to be from Lowes; and I have a Lowes credit card, so it was reasonable to receive a survey request from them. After submitted the completed survey, I received an email which informed me that I'd won a tool set, and would receive it if I paid $12.65 for shipping. I accepted the offer and received an order confirmation number. Two weeks later, with no further word about the shipment, I checked my credit card information online. My card had been billed $12.65 - but not by Lowes. The billing was by "FeelTheVictoryWovenInf" of Panorama City, California. That company charged my card an additional $75.85. There is no such company, based on a Google search. There must have been other victims of this scam, some of them after my experience and some before it. Some victims had to have contacted Lowes about it (as I'll do today). Yet Lowes made no effort to warn credit card holders about this scam. And since the scam email was addressed to me as a Lowes customer, Lowes must have failed to protect the email address associated with my account. So here's a suggestion, Lowes credit card holders: cancel your account and cut up your card.

I expected store credit for the full amount I paid, given I had my receipt. Instead, they gave me the sale price, which was $45 less than what I paid. I live out of town and was 4 days outside the 90 day return window. I understand getting store credit for my delay, but the deduction doesn't make sense to me---terrible policy. In the past, Lowes also refused to credit me the sale price for an appliance I ordered a week or 2 before. Perhaps good customer service policies are a thing of the past......

As a contractor I need my orders as soon as possible . That never happens at menards. Order a simple sheet of countertop laminate and it takes 2 weeks . Home Depot I have it delivered to my door in 3 days . Just today another special order finally came in after a long wait to arrive. Tracked the order for 5 days it sat at the DC in Saginaw Mi. Cabinet parts came in . No boxes??? Cancelled the order for the cabinet boxes at that store . Made another order at the next closest store. Have to drive 60 miles North of me as they have them in stock .I buy alot of stuff from our local store ,as its conveniently located on my way in . But they really need to be better on there ordering system .

I tried many times to purchase solid surface countertops through them. I tried in person, but waited 20+ minutes after the department was called and provided no service. I called multiple times, but after being transferred they simply hung up (this was not an accident, it happened multiple times). Appointments cannot be made, apparently the can not answer their phone, nor can they return calls.
