I sometimes come here when I want to do some shopping outside of San Jose/Valley Fair Mall. The outlets have a good variety of stores, mostly clothing, but some other department stores as well. To be honest I only ever really buy clothes from here though. What's great about the outlets is that your not confined into a stuffy mall, with crowds upon crowds of people. Even when it gets packed at the outlets, it's not nearly as claustrophobic as being in a mall. If your new to these stores the layout can seem a bit confusing, there are actually three separate areas that have multiple store and they aren't all right next to each other. Two of them are across the street from the In-N-Out burger and the other is in the same parking lot as In-N-Out, so you'll have to do a little bit of walking to get between them all. My favorite stores at the outlets are probably Nike and Express, both have great customer service by the way. Despite having some good stores, the outlets are not perfect. Although there is what seems to be plenty of parking, it fills up way too quickly. Especially if you are shopping near the In-N-Out outlets because then you have to navigate around the long drive through lines and people are always speeding through there. Also, a few of the stores at the outlets have pretty outrageous prices, unless there is a sale going on then expect to be spending some cash here. All in all, the outlets get the job done for me. In the advent of the technological advances of this day and age, I'm thankful for the google maps app on the iPhone for its guidance in showing us the route to this outlet mall. This mall is certainly off-the-beaten-path, but I think worth the journey for the bargain-hunter, outlet mall shopper, or possibly anyone that likes a road trip. SHOP: This outlet mall is divided into 4 sections, which certainly equates to "there is much shopping to be done!". The sections are within walking distance of each other, but of course there is also the option of just driving, which I certainly preferred (driving is convenient so you wouldn't have to carry your shopping bags all around). I was thankful to find sale items at the Gap, Banana Republic, and Bath, and Body Works shops. I would say I scored a coup' at BBW as they had some of their "classic scents" on sale, those that are sold only online and no longer available in stores. PARK: Plentiful at each of the 4 sections. NOTE: I suggest driving to each individual section and parking near stores you'd want to look in or shop at to use time wisely. The locations of the bathrooms are a bit of a mystery as sing age is missing or non existent. Bottom Line: I think it's worth the trip to this outlet mall if you have the time to spare and are in search of a bargain. read more

I purchased a Coach wallet from Gilroy's Coach Outlet store on July 4, 2013. In December of 2013, less than six months after purchase, its clasp broke. One day, I had taken the wallet out of my purse and discovered that the half of the clasp that had been attached to the wallet had come unglued and was still attached to the half of the clasp that's glued to the flap. I took the defective wallet to Walnut Creek's Coach store earlier today. I was told that I would have to pay $20 to get the wallet fixed. I was appalled and refused. My previous wallet cost me a third of the Coach wallet and it lasted six years. I came to the Coach store with my wallet on the advice of my friends. They had been certain that a company like Coach would stand by the quality of its products. Imagine their shock when I told them what had happened. It seems Coach is now a company that makes products to last less than six months and then charges to fix them. Appalling! I had been willing to put up with the 3-6 weeks wait to get my wallet back, but the idea that I would be charged to have a defective wallet fixed! Clearly, Coach does not deserve its reputation and its products are not worth our money. read more

This outlet is HUGE. They have any store or chain you can think off. In a way, it is too big. You better know what you want before you come here. It is an outdoor mall with hundreds of stores including all the typical clothing, shoes, etc. it stretches a few blocks so don't plan to just walk and see it all. You will actually have to drive from place to place if you want to see it all. I suggest you look at the directory and map first and then decide where to go. I only visited a few stores (e.g. Rockport, Reebook) and found some good deals. The list price itself is not so attractive but they have Sales and other half off deals that make it a very good bargain overall. So overall I like this place and the variety but it is pretty far away for me but would definitely stop by the next time I drive down to LA or Monterey. I am also thinking of coming back during the holidays. I am sure they will have some interesting sales. There is plenty of parking and some restaurants around so you can get some rest and refuel before you are exhausted. read more

love this outlet because its close to my house and they have tons of stores. My favorite is Kate Spade. Kate Spade does a surprise sale online every so often and its still not better than the Kate Spade outlet and even with the same item. Just yesterday I wanted this dress online from Kate Spade which was on sale for $204.00. I went to the outlet and saw the same exact dress but got it for $84.00. Score! The parking is pretty bad if you go mid day. I arrived around 4:00 and the parking was crazy. We followed a couple to their car and another car did try to steal our parking space but my husband was not having it. If he hadn't pulled up to the driver trying to take our space they totally would have stolen it The parking lot is brutal. When we left the mall around 6:30 there were lots of parking spaces. So maybe the key is to go shopping later. Polo has amazing deals, my husband loves that store. I find great deals for my kids in Polo also. read more

Gilroy outlets can be a little confusing if you've never been there before. It's basically an outdoor mall, but it's divided into three different sections. Two of the areas are right across the street from each other and the other is in a completely separate area where you see the big In-n-Out burger sign. Once you realize this, you'll understand just how many stores are in the Gilroy Outlets. For sure there are some great stores here (mostly clothing), but I find a lot of them to either be uninteresting or too expensive for my budget. Some notable stores I like are the Nike, Vans, and Fox stores. The way the stores are laid out is a little inconvenient, but it's not the worst place to go shopping by any means. read more

Just this passed weekend wanted to do a little shopping so i decided to go to the Gilroy outlets. I love coming here. I usually come a few times out of the year. But I've got to say this time around was not that great. Was very disappointed to find out the DC Shoe store is no longer there. That was my favorite store to go to. I can get at least 3 pairs of shoes for less than $100.00. But now it's gone. What a bummer. I did get to check a few of my other favorite stores. Came out with buying a few new tops from Fox , a pair of shoes from Famous Footwear and a few bags of candy from Jelly Belly. read more

Okay, yes, they are often crowded, and yes some of the stores really don't have good deals (aka J. Crew), but all in all the place is fabulous. I've gotten great deals at Banana Republic, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, Tommy Hillfigger, and many others. And don't even get me started on the Coach outlet store! I love love love that place and I have stood in line just to get ink. They always have discount coupons that they give out and all their styles are cute. Hurray for the outlets! read more

From the freeway we saw many billboards advertising the Outlets. When we arrive we were confused by the size of the complex with groupings of shops in different sections of the complex. We wish we had a map, directory, or better signage. This is a good outlet with many brand name stores. Shopping here can be tiring as you often must hop into your car and drive to the next store. All in all, I highly recommend this business to all. read more

I leave close to this outlet which is an advantage to go shopping here. I do not go in weekends or during holidays. This is THE best place to shop for bargains after the holiday season. Most stores were offering 50% to 75% off. It's your typical outlet mall shopping experience, but not very crowded on on a week day which I like. If you want to buy lots of expensive gifts, you should come here to check it out. read more

This outlet is huge and has many, many stores! The stores are typically cheaper than mall stores but the quality is not as good. Your clothes will shrink more, shrink weirdly turning your shirts into weird shapes, wear and tear quicker, but they are cheaper. If you're looking for cheap brand name clothes, then this place is for you. If you're looking for good quality clothes, then this place is not for you. read more

There are tons of stores that are spread out in three areas. The way it's layed out you can walk to each, but most likely you'll have to drive. It covers a pretty large area. The other draw back, there wasn't many places to eat or pick up a drink. We happen to be there on a very hot day. Wished they had a few more places to stop and grab a drink indoors to cool off. This place rocks! Reasonable distance from home. Nice broad selection of stores. So many in fact, that I've never been able to do all of them in 1 day. There's always cheap, goodies on sale there. I like the idea of few stores in one area, where sometimes you can find really rare items. Long time before it was hard to find place for parking, because there were much more visitors. Now the parking isn't challenge, so this place become more pleasant for me. This time my task was cookware, but I found also nice purse and few pieces of cloth. read more

What a fun spot to go shopping. There are some great deals at the various stores, so you may need a whole day to completely explore and maximize your savings. You may find almost anything you want as well as meals in many of the chain restaurants. A must-see if you're in the area! There is plenty of parking and it is near to the expressway. read more

Yea i live in gilroy but that doesnt mean i shop here!! Its too tiring, I prefer going to an actual mall. To be honest, when i come here i feel like im goin gback the year before. Everything is so old needs a definite update. If your into old, cheap stuff then i suggest going here. read more

I enjoy spending time at the outlets, sometimes there are great deals to be found. Sometimes you find things you didn't even know you "needed". Sadly, there are a lot of vacant shop spots at the moment, I hope that changes in the future. All in all, a great way to spend a day off. read more

The stores were okay. I didn't really find anything I liked. Most of the stores were small and crowded. I just wished it had more stores like Love Culture, Forever 21, or Urban Outfitters. But it was fine. I liked ALDO & American Apparel. But that was it. read more
