I made an appointment for all our animals as a new patient and they took all of the information I had for all three over the phone. appointment time came around and they had no idea who we were and were going to send us away until I showed them the confirmation for the appointment. they did not have my email for the animals history which I made vital that they were aware of. I asked the dr if he looked at the history that was provided to which he said yes. come to find out that it was only for one not the other one. I provided this information twice and it still wasn't considered. I made it clear before the appointment that I did not want any shots to be done early and since no one bothered to review one of my babies history then they did. it doesn't hurt them no, but I painstakingly for years offset their shots little by little to ensure it was spread out for financial reason. and all that effort was taken away due to squeezing us in from an office failure and failing to review the history and requests of me urging them to only give shots that are currently due. now they are on the same shot schedule bc one was given shots they didn't need several months sooner than what was needed. 2/10

My daughter stated that when she dropped her off that morning around 8:00am she was fine, her normal 13 year old self. Walking, riding in the car, looking out the window, and breathing normal. Her dog was scheduled to get her rabies shot, a bath, and nail trim. During her time there the staff told my daughter that she needed her ears cleaned. She said ok, do it. When she picked her up she was told that they had to have several people hold her down to trim her nails. I'm sure that was also true about cleaning her ears as she hasn't had that done often. When her dog was walking to the car after being there she walked very sluggish kind of like she was drunk. She asked if they gave her anything to make her feel/act like that. They said no. She couldn't jump on the back of the car like she did on her way there. My daughter had to pick her 83lb dog up and put her in the back of her SUV. She drove home, with her whining with every bump the car hit. My daughter had her husband look at her, he said she's not good and to take her back to the vet. So that's what she did. The vet came out and looked at the dog, and kept telling her she's just old and this maybe the end just to take her home and see how she does. He padded her on the back and said I'm sorry. He did suggest a couple things like give her electrolytes. I was on the phone listening to their entire conversation. She asked if there was anything they could give her to help her. He said well we can take her back in and draw blood and see what's wrong, but that's going to cost more money. (WHAT?!??) My thoughts were you guys did this to her dog, and that's what you tell my daughter, either pay more money to figure out what YOUR CLINIC did to my daughters dog, or take her home and see if she lives or dies. Well not really knowing what to do she took her home, tried to give her electrolytes, because that's one thing the vet did say to try. She was so upset that my husband and I went over there. Her dog was literally laying on the floor on her side breathing very deep and slow like she was going to die any second. We managed to get a few syringes of Gatorade in her, and she wouldn't take any more. She wouldn't eat anything. I read online that if we couldn't get her to eat and drink she would definitely die, so we continued to try, and she wouldn't. Thank God we have my other daughter who works at a different clinic in a different town, and I called her to get her opinion, she said she definitely need fluids, so she came over and gave her a bag of fluids. Along with that my daughter called Ark clinic back and just gave them an ear full, after that call they told her they would give her 2 meds for her for free. She got the meds and after she saw that she was doing a little better after receiving the bag of fluids she gave her the meds. It took her 3 days to come back from the vet visit at Ark. I normally only write reviews if they are positive, but this is something others need to know if they have an older dog. Older dogs can't endure having a lot done to them like the younger dogs can. It totally stressed my daughter's dog out so bad that if she hadn't been given that bag of fluids, we would have lost her, all because of a vet visit that was supposed to help her.

She and a male staff member were cornering my dog, literally trying to give her the exam while she was on the floor instead of utilizing the exam table. At this point I said she's used to being examined on the table (because that's what literally every other vet has done the 7 years I've had her) and this vet said with a lot of acidity "90% of dogs don't do well on the table". I said "well she's not doing well on the floor, is she?" as there was pee everywhere at this point. She flashed me a very ugly face and said, full of vitriol, "would you like to continue this exam?" at which point I said no (because wtf?) and walked out. Our dog ended up with 14 stitches in his face and is wearing a cone -- for 10 days to two weeks. I had no idea we had an Urgent care for animals I looked online and the prices were very reasonable for a vet. We took our baby there last night. We got right in, no appt needed. Front desk staff both were super nice and friendly, they got out Addie all checked in and put us in a room. We were in the room only a few minutes before the Dr came in (Dr. Suzanne Caruso, DVM). She was so Gental as out Addie is such a queen (drama queen too, lol). She liked her over and then took her back to do a deeper exam with her techs. (Just like human kids, they do better without parents around). In a short wait she came back to talk to us about her diagnosis. Dr Caruso's diagnosis was arthritis which I was relieved, she did not feel we needed x-rays but did leave it up to us. I loved that they just did not do them and it cost us more if she felt they were not really needed. She recommended a monthly injection and we can come there to get it for Ms Addie. The overall moment coming in the door to going out the door I could tell they all cared about doing what was best for our little queen Addie

They simply presented an outrageously large bill for services that they tried to justify. Any business who raises their prices especially by triple digits should post their fee increases. The same procedure for one of my cats went from about $150 to over $350 dollars. Any business that no longer accepts credit cards without passing on their user fees must post there policies. Decent vet care. Nice staff. Terrible management and business practices. This place also takes discount vouchers from a local cat group. I am very concerned that this worthwhile group will be exploited by this place. If you decide to bring your pet here ask for a detailed coat breakdown before hand.
